RE: List News
I have been here since the 8th. Last weekend was my high school reunion. I tend to leave the setting up of a gathering to those local. I make myself available to the gatherings, it has worked well for the MD-DC get togethers and the San Antonio one. I have not heard from anyone from area. I already had plans to get with Annsan. I am going to be getting together for lunch with her and Amita today. I will be working in Baltimore from the 21st through the afternoon of the 25th. I fly south the 27th. The 26th is out as we are celebrating my parents? anniversary. Unfortunately, I was in the ceremony (giver away of the bride) so I didn't get any pics of the actual wedding. Equally unfortunate, the gear I ordered specifically for the wedding didn't get dropped on my doorstep until the day AFTER we'd left. Fortunately, the new monopod, A 2X-S televerter, and 20 rolls of film were still sitting on the doorstep when we got back home, 4 days later. Er, rereading that, it looks as though I was unhappy to have the honor of giving away the bride, far from it. I was proud, honored and blessed to participate. After attempting to fix it one piece at a time, which only served to turn it into an enormous house of cards again, I did what any masochist would do; I nuked it and started all over. Once I had it up and running, the software was misinterpreting subscribe requests and subscribing itself instead of the requested subscribe address, which took me a while to track down.I'm pretty sure I have that corrected. It is still a little wobbly, but over the last few days I've been getting nearer to a stable set-up. I think now I have the reply-to setting under control and have just added a couple of scripts to reject excessive quoting, attachments, HTML/MIME and a couple other things. Next up on the agenda is to address the digest format and again implement the no-mail option, for those of you concerned about those. I apologize for the inconvenience of all this, and hope the new set-up will again act in the efficient and invisible manner for which it is designed. Thanks, Doug List Guy Brewer we now return you to your regularly scheduled pissing contest. Anybody took any photos lately?
