Hi Gustavo. I did my enter to the translation team in the way is explained by Leonardo Boshell in the link you mentioned, nevertheless Gabor opinion's is one of the up-to-datest AFAIK. Don't you think so Leonardo?? BR Enrique --- Gustavo Narea [EMAIL PROTECTED] escribió: Thanks, Gabor. I requested a CVS account and It was denied, but I don't know why, so I sent an e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] The CVS account I want is gustavo. Whether you want to get more information about me, visit my web site (www.easy2win.net) and/or search for gustavo narea in google. I hope you can help me. The usual process is that you need some support to get a CVS account (ie. send in patches for the spanish translation team, so they get to know you and endorse your application). This process was put in place because of the big amount of cvs accounts requested with no particular community work, so that now someone does some php.net community work before getting their account. I hope that this is understandable. Regards, Gabor Hojtsy __ Correo Yahoo! Espacio para todos tus mensajes, antivirus y antispam ¡gratis! Regístrate ya - http://correo.yahoo.com.mx/

[PHP-DOC] snippet for sybase link identifier
Hi, I'm doing the sybase moving to the new doc style, and it looks that it is needed a sybase.linkid.description similar to the one for mysql, that textually said: The MySQL connection. If the link identifier is not specified, the last link opened by mysql_connect() is assumed. If no such link is found, it will try to create one as if mysql_connect() was called with no arguments. If by chance no connection is found or established, an E_WARNING level warning is generated. But I'm not really sure about the part that said If no such link is found ... upto end. Could anyone better sybase related clarify if that is applicable to sybase? BR Enrique _ Do You Yahoo!? Re: [PHP-DOC] Translation and new doc-style
Hi all, I know that at least the Hungarian translators do that: - look up diff of English file (from revcheck) - change the Hungarian file according to the diff If the diff contains irrelevant changes (ws), it is getting harder. If ws is done in a separate commit, it can be steped over (with incremental diffing). Sure, but for the new doc style the WS-changes are relevant, no? Probably a lot less people care about WS in the translations, it does not matter. Goba As spanish translator, if the change is such as the new doc style, I rather to take the english file and replace the english for my language. In this way (from my point of view) is riskless to commit. Enrique _ Do You Yahoo!? La mejor conexión a internet y 2GB en tu buzón de Correo Yahoo! por $100 al mes. http://net.yahoo.com.mx

Additionaly to this, here is the data of how many commits people had in the last half year (since january 1 actually) (with only those CVS accounts who had at least one commit). I propose we put a line above baoengb and add the people above it to the frontpage authors list (this is nearly the same as the magic 100 mark we use). I exclude baoengb here, because I know he achieved this high commit number mostly by adding translated stuff to the EN tree, and then .. Yes, I had made several mistakes in the EN tree, and that was reverted by other people. (that errors could mean about 30 commits), of course I'm not dealing to find my name between such top people, I just try to do my best. of course my work is mainly in the ES tree, and my (correct) committing is for errors I have found. May be I can be helpful enough in a later stage. that made me realize that I have to much to learn. Greetings baoengbDo You Yahoo!? Yahoo! RE: [PHP-DOC] Re: Missing detail about a very important ming library function
... Here we are :) The ming documentation is pretty outdated and needs a lot of work. If you are ready to help, you could update it all. I just had a look in the sources and you are right for your two functions. I'll update the ptotos after ending this mail. If you wan't to see how our documentation works, please read : http://fr.php.net/manual/howto/index.html Basically, you'll need a copy of this folder : http://cvs.php.net/cvs.php/phpdoc/en/reference/ming And some time to donate to the community :) Feel free to contacts us back if you need more information and thank you a lot for your fixes. Mehdi Achour So, where can be found the most updated information regarding this ming functions, or how could be this documented correctly, seeing the the sources?. I'm not Ming programmer, but it sounds exciting to me, to include this kind Of functionality in my web develops, before I heard about ming I was trying to be related to Macromedia Flash, but didn't had time for that, but guess that it could be nice use ming, I would be glad to participate in this update of the documentation, once there translating this to Spanish. Title: reftitles... Hi, Ive seen in the mysqli documentation two referentes reftitle.returnvalues and reftitle.seealso, but not in all functions And I think that It would be good if it is defined to be used rather than the title/title way. And as a translator it is nice to Skip this template statements, and if it is extended to more titles like titleDescriptiontitle and so on It would be really nice for translators like me J, but it depends on the agreement between the doc writers. So I leave this comment to be consider to whom it may concern. Regards Enrique García Briones

[PHP-DOC] Missing constant information
Hi, Looking at mysqli/constants.xml i found that is missing the information for the MYSQLI_CLIENT_MULTI_QUERIES constant, and I Found at the MySQL documentation in pdf format that this constant was renamed to CLIENT_MULTI_STATEMENTS And the documentation for this is: supports the execution of multiple statements specified in a single query string Should this be included as a new configuration constant or should it replace the MYSQLI_CLIENT_MULTI_QUERIES. Sorry, could someone explain what happend?, I really was at es docs It seems you weren't. You should copy the files from en/reference/mysqli/* firstly to ES/reference/mysqli/*. BUT you should not copy any subfolders named 'CVS'. That was probably the problem. If you copy the CVS folder, the context information will also be copied, so the CVS client will think that you are still working in the en folder. Hey Enrique, get your added xml-sources out of your current doc-tree (thus: copy them somewhere). Remove your local copies of phpdoc and phpdoc-es. Do a new checkout and add you xml-files to your new copy of the phpdoc-es folder. The phpdoc-folder is totally out of play. The only reason you have it, is to see how things are being done the xml-way and to have a structured file to translate. No changes are made to them. In addition to that everything in the directories named 'CVS ', is not to be touched. The cvs client manages those for you. I have only local copy of the phpdoc-es folder, this incluyes an EN copy, I have removed my local copy and checkouted againg the phpdoc-es and there is the mysqli folder including the functions with the files I was adding, so from my machine I am at the ES/reference/mysqli part of the documentation. Question: Should I commit folders?, seems to me that my big error was to copy the CVS folder from EN part, but at last I removed any CVS folder within es/reference/mysqli and added that folder as well as function folder. Maybe someone could destroy the ES/reference/mysqli stuff and give me some days to wake up, read more about CVS and try again. Hoping you were as good kind as today. :D Then you add the newly translated files using `cvs add [file] || [dir]`. And then commmit. But maybe you really first explain what you have done, to trace back were your mistake was. (As didou mentioned)_ Just get a bit distance to this, maybe soon you'll find the source of this strange behaviour. ali Am Di, den 16.03.2004 schrieb Mehdi Achour um 18:19: Enrique Garcia Briones wrote: baoengb Tue Mar 16 11:58:21 2004 EDT Added files: /phpdoc/en/reference/mysqli/mysqli/functions lengths.xml mysqli-fetch.xml Log: Agregando funciones traducidas de mysqli Really don't know, please nuno revert it. This means a malicious script could access and modify the database, even without a username and password. It's entirely possible that a web spider could stumble across a database administrator's web page, and drop all of your databases. You can protect against this with Apache authorization, or you can design your own access model using LDAP, .htaccess files, etc. and include that code as part of your PHP scripts. What databases need to mean? text files? And some impossible to understand about atypical autorization? Sorry for my english. -- , Voytsekhovskyy mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
[PHP-DOC] sybase_set_message_handler
Title: sybase_set_message_handler hi, During the Spanish translation of this function (sybase_set_message_handler), I had found that there is not mention Of the optional parameter included in the description, see: Description bool sybase_set_message_handler ( callback handler [, resource connection]) And I was wondering whether it behavior is like the resource link_identifier that is optional in the Sybase_query function, or what?, and if so a note should be raised in the function Sybase_set_message_handler, is that correct? Or should somebody test the functionality before any documentation change? I would like to hang the translation of this function, upon recommendation. Regards Enrique
