Then the chapter migration5.functions should be probably deleted because
it lists only new functions. Modified and replaced functions are in
migration5.incompatible.

If your webserver is running PHP in CGI mode, you should note that
the
-CGI version has changed its name from php.exe to php-cgi.exe.
-In Apache you should do something like this:
 -informalexample
+CGI version has changed its name :
 +(filenamephp.exe/filename becomes
filenamephp-cgi.exe/filename.
+In Apache, you should do something like this:

can you please correct this?

you have : and a ( which isn't closed. You can keep the old wording,
introducing just the filename tags, IHMO.

I've been also merging the http://php.net/zend-engine-2.php into
 the docs as well.

That file was merged into appendixes/migration5.xml. So, you may copy the
text from there, as it already has the docbook formatting.

Oh, we also need a new section to replace the final.xml, to include not
just
the final keyword, but also, self and this, IHMO.

My orginaly thought was to put self and parent inside of the
paamayim-nekudotayim.xml file, a new home would be nice for them.

Oh, thats ok... I didn't know what you were thinking to put in ::

The next step is exceptions... We must think where to put them!

someone be pulling the old material into that document?

I think nobody is working on this currently. I'm going to vacations next
week, so I can't help much for now.

I think that file will have the docs for the __get/__set/__toString methods.
If you want to document it (basically just copy-paste the docs in the
migration chapter) just assign this task to yourself :)

Why change this? It will always be wrong for some subset of readers, since in British
the noun is licence but in American it's license (and contrariwise for the verb --
can't speak for other flavours of English!). Unless there were a consensus to use one
chosen form of English consistently (which there isn't, not least because many of the
contributors are non-native speakers and write their own individual variant of the
language!), I'd just leave such dichotomous spellings as made by the original
contributor.

Cheers!

It was simply a patch sent to me. Throughout the PHP.net site the
spelling 'license' is used. I don't much care either way, feel free to
change it.
