Don, I'm interested in purchasing a Diana as well. Please fill me in on the scoop. Thanks, Dan -Original Message- From: pinhole-discussion-admin@p at ??? Subject: Re: [pinhole-discussion] WWPD III A few months back on Ebay I purchased a large collection of Dianas that were unused in the original packaging (I'll wait for the collective gasp heard round the world - or at least on this list). Much to my dismay, one camera's shutter was completely froze up. In a fit of creativity, I not so gently removed that juicy lens - and mounted it on a... guess what - a bodycap! Leaving me with the perfect pinhole camera body - I just finised it Sunday, and I hope to shoot with it in the next few days, as well as WPPD III. Oh, anyone want a Diana - I seem to have way too many... Don Any new ideas for unusual cameras. I've been preping my students. __ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! DOH! Frames strike again! I teach my students that frames are evil (writing Frames are Evil! on the board), so now I have another example. g I never use my browser full screen, so although I have a 17 monitor and 1024X768 resolution, I was only able to see three of the thumbnails. = Original Message From Guillermo pen...@rogers.com = Chris has coded the frames for no scrolling, not a good idea, obviously. To my sense of design is was. I was assuming that 15 inch screens were common but didn't take into consideration the resolution one might be using. I should have done more testing, now there are scroll bars. BTW Chris: that's a very ingenious camera you have made, if I were not an I gotta made or modify the pinhole cameras I use kind of guy, I'd have placed an order already. I very much like the images, especially Mia's House, outstanding!!. Thank you. I think I'm very much like you. I love to tinker and figure out cameras or ways to build them. I have reversed engineered many cameras I've seen on the web for my own amusement. I was originally just going to post plans for this camera but after reading posts from others about the cameras they bought I thought it would be best to offer mine for sale. I have had my web site up since the turn of the year but have been stuck perfecting the instruction booklet and tinkering with a 35mm version. I think I'm more interested in making new designs but I think I'll save them till after WWPD III. Chris Peregoy pere...@umbc.edu http://www.pinholeblender.com

= Original Message From George L Smyth glsm...@myway.com = For some reason I do not get a scroll bar on the right, so I am not able to get to all of the images in the left frame. George, I wanted a clean look without the grid like pattern scroll bars impart to a page. I had only six thumbnails on each artist and thought they would show up even on a 15 monitor but perhaps I didn't take into consideration different resolution settings one might be using. If you turn your browser chrome off you should see the entire list. Browser Chrome is the term for the large graphic buttons and address line at the top of your browser. On my Internet Explorer the button for this is on the left under the tool bar favorites. When I do this I can see them all on my small laptop. I still need to learn some lean flash tricks before I try any of that on my page. I was trying to make my pages quick loading in order to pass the Smyth test but I guess I failed in this one area ;-) Chris Chris Peregoy pere...@umbc.edu http://www.pinholeblender.com

Chuck Flagg cfla...@mchsi.com: Hello, This list has been a little quiet. Everyone must be preparing for WWPD III! Only 20 days left. Any new ideas for unusual cameras. I've been preping my students. Hi Chuck, all; As a regular reader and sometime poster here, I also notice the list has grown quiet. I think maybe events in the world have overtaken us. I respect the need to keep political discussion out of forums like this. It should be about pinhole here, and the inclusive humanistic values that animated World Wide Pinhole Day in the first place. At times like this, I think this spirit is needed more than ever. I'd like to suggest that contributors take the opportunity of this WWPD to reach out, find commonality, and to express your values and concerns, whatever they might be. peace all, and as always: keep on pinholin' Scott -- Scott Sellers| scottsell...@mindspring.com |
