[SlimDevices: Plugins] Re: [REQ] Turn off PC
Sorry, my mistake. I thought I had undone all the unnecessary (and stupid) edits I had made to the plugin file, but there was one important one left in there. I re-downloaded the plugin to get a clean version, restarted slimserver, and there is the option on the server plugins page, just like you said! But, I'm not home free yet, because I'm still not getting it on the SB (via remote). I don't see it listed among the plugins on the home page of the web ui, or under Player Settings > Menus options either. Any suggestions on what to try next? I've switched on d_plugins, and the ShutdownServer plugin hasn't registered anything yet in the log file. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Re: Announce: XMRadio v1.1.1 updated for SS 6.5
Hey all, I've updated the zip in the original post with fixes for both the hang issue (where the client perpetually displays "Retrieving...") and the "Already logged in as..." issue. For those interested: The hang issue was caused by not "unblocking" the client when a refresh of the login failed. The "Already logged in as..." was caused by an bug in the refresh login code (which also caused the refresh login to fail, causing the client to hang with "Retrieving..."). [SlimDevices: Plugins] Re: Announce: Custom Scan plugin
A new version (1.11) of the Custom Scan plugin is now available, the new functionallity and changes are: - Added possibility to abort scanning - Corrected critical problem which could deadlock the whole machine if you use the Custom Tag scanning module on a large library. NOTE 1 The LastFM and Amazon scanning modules are quite slow and will almost lock the slimserver interface during scanning, scanning will take approximately 1-2 seconds per artist/album in your library. The reason for this is license restrictions, you can choose to disable the LastFM and Amazon scanning modules if you feel this is a problem. NOTE 2 To use the Amazon scanning module you will need to apply for a free access keys to Amazon web services, see more info in included README.txt about this. NOTE 3 The Custom Scan plugin only works on slimserver 6.5 and later so don't try to use it on slimserver 6.3 or earlier. The new version is available at my 'download page' (http://erland.homeip.net/download) as usual. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Problem with AlienBBC and Sirius Radio Plug In
I am trying to stream Sirisu radio but do not get any sound. I went to the mplayer website and dowloaded the file and tried to install it on a Kurobox with Linux. Slimserver does a great job streaming MP3 files and other internet radio but I can not get AlienBBC or Sirius to work. It looks like mplayer did not compile. I tried to reinstall mplayer and it would not make or make install. The files are .c and .h so the problem is not with AlienBBC or the Sirius plugin. After searching the net, I could not find anything that would explain the problem. I thought it might be missing gcc but that is installed. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Re: MusicInfoSCR: Setting Up Multiple Squeezeboxes
(From the web page) it would be good to have all the normal clients available, then an extra (virtual) "Master" one. All the individual settings from the real players would have one extra option ("Use Master setting"), and they would be set to this option by default. The Master part would be difficult: as all the player specific settings only can be done to a player, you can't edit that (virtual player) Master. I rather imagined one of the players to be the (selectable) master which is copied to the others. And I would have imagined settings to be selectable in groups/categories. Firstly, does anyone else think this would be a good way to do it? If Pretty close to my idea - won't judge whether this is good or not :-). so, is it do-able in a plugin, or should his be a feature request for 7.x? This is imho a typical plugin job as it is a function which isn't needed by all users. I'd like all 3 of my Squeezeboxes to display the same information via the MusicInfoSCR screen saver. Is there anyway to do that without setting them all up individually? Considering my 7 players it's astonishing this does not exist... You could always shut down the server and edit the .pref file manually. Is there a variable for remaining time, i.e. the amount of time the track has left to play? I'd like to display the progress bar and remaining time as my top left display but can't find such a variable. This is a core function of slimserver: repeatedly press Now Playing to circle through the different display modes, which include display of remaining time. Finally, is there any way to make the font size for both lines of text on the Squeezbox the same? No way to overwrite the player's setting in MIS. Currently the only way to have them is hitting the Size button on the remote repeatedly to cycle through the different modes and set MIS to use the player's settings. I hope to come up with a better settings page in a future version, which would offer more options with less clutter. More flexibility in the font choice is something I'd like to see, too. But don't expect it before SlimServer 7.0 will be released - which leaves me quite some time. -- Michael - http://www.herger.net/SlimCD - your SlimServer on a CD http://www.herger.net/slim - AlbumReview, Biography, MusicInfoSCR ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
