Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Last.fm and synced players problem
The 'problem' is that LastFM doesn't work on synced players. Nor is it expected to work! Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Biography plugin - can't find Mozart?
Title says it all. Is there some set up required for this or what? Many times, it can't find some names that every kid knows about. Help appreciated. Is it Mozart, Amadeus Mozart, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart? Go enter Mozart at allmusic.com's web site: the plugin has to guess from the resulting list which one to take. Sometimes it succeeds, sometimes it does not. The more popular a name is, the more variances of it exist. As I don't have access to a clean interface to that database, it's a lot of trial and failure :-( Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Biography plugin - can't find Mozart?
Oh, don't get me wrong, I appreciate very much all that you do for this software - thank you. It's just that I found this strange. And, after checking it at their site, yes, string Mozart returns a lot of %Moz%art% crap, including a full name, but not a single reference to just 'Mozart'. In my library, I didn't see a need to include anything else, other than 'Mozart' in my artist tags. After all, there's only one Mozart in the world that counts :) -- slimkid The sound stage will open up, bass will tighten and the imaging will improve. [SlimDevices: Plugins] IRBlaster wishlist
Hi there, I got an emitter and IRBlaster installed, works great. Wishlist: 1) Performance, it's slow, really turning volume up and down takes tm - in firmware (or another way) it should be faster 2) Holding a button continously does not work 3) Volume mode change - it should be possible to change from volume-fixed-SB-mode (eg. to 50%) to normal mode with ease via remote (button combination?) as long as (1) is not fixed 4) more buttons should be mappeable to SB's remote - I, for example, do not need the repeat button - it would be cool if you could replace it with a mode function if you're in this mode you can control other features of your receiver/amplifier (mute, radio channels, input source etc) -- livelock livelock's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10284 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=36093 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] AAC+ plugin?
thx for the reply, using the abbreviated link i was (gasp) able to get AAC+ to work. on that particular feed from KTRU, i'm still getting some digital waviness distortion, which i imagine others would get if they tune in (but far less than if using MP3). is this common for all AAC+ feeds, or just from this particular station? i'm trying to understand how hi-fi an AAC+ feed really is (as on the KTRU AAC+ feed, its audibly inferior to FM). thanks again ryan -- rhyno138 rhyno138's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11948 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=36034 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

I gave up using IRBlaster for volume and use my harmony remote to control my stereo directly. I think it would be best for the volume up/down to not be a command stack, but simply a one-to-one translator for the volume commands. I havn't looked at the code recently, but it could be possible. -- SuperQ SuperQ's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2139 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=36093 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] IRBlaster wishlist
One of the big issues with the IRBlaster is that it's using lirc command files, many of which are incorrect. If the author switched over to using Pronto codes, they're far easier to understand and are either available or can be constructed in very clean states. The Volume issue specifically is likely due to incorrect one-time and repeat sequences. If you've learned the command yourself it's learned as RAW which is unsuitable to be repeated for many IR protocols without an enormous duration to make it look like multiple taps. I have specs for Pronto codes and a large number of IR protocols for anyone interested in attacking this mod. -- MelonMonkey Bruno *'Twisted Melon - Fine Mac OS Software' (http://twistedmelon.com) | 'mira - Personal Control for your Apple Remote' (http://twistedmelon.com)* MelonMonkey's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=8466 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=36093 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
