Hi Erland, I reinstalled the squeezeserver and installed the Sponge perl module and that solved the problem. It was not very scientific so I am not sure which part was the crucial. . . Hello, I have a problem I cant find a way out... I changed from a SBS 7.5.0 that showed to the mysbcom test direction (with account) to a usual 7.5.0. No when I change to mysbcom iPeng says Keine Player gefunden (no player found). On mysbcom web interface all works fine the SBs are shown and I can use it normal over the Logitech controller. i think IPeng still looking for the old test mysbcom? If yes how can I force it to go for the usual account? I guess the problem might be that your iPhone or iPod may be bound to the wrong account. MySB remembers the device and automatically connects it. Unfortunately you can't change that yourself, Logitech forgot to migrate that feature from SN to MySB. I have to change that for you. I have been playing with the screensaver switcher plugin and the ability to have different screens at different times. The only one I have set is the off screen, I have a night time display and daytime SDT weather dispaly. Night time 10:40pm to 6:15am - the other one is active for the period outside of this window. The morning change over is when the alarm activates every weekday. My issue I noticed last night for the first time as the unit was off when the change over happened - the unit turned on and the home menu was being displayed rather than the clock - I rolled over near 11pm and did not see the time, I had to press the off button to get it back to the off clock mode. Anyone else noticed this? [SlimDevices: Plugins] Custom Browse (perhaps Custom Scan) Question
I am using Custom Browse to create two menus in specific that involve a comment field scanned in using Custom Scan. The two menus essentially involve a comment tag that represents Sub-Genres for my music that exist for each mp3 file in my collection. The problem I am having is that this comment field is a multi-valued field that often has multiple values. These values are split by a / (I've also used a ; ). Now what happens with Custom Browse, is that only the first value in that field is recognized in my menus. For example: MP3 files for the album Are You Experienced? have the sub-genre tag as follows: Classic Rock/Psychedelic/Album Rock When I browse my custom menus that use this tag, the album only shows up under Classic Rock, presumably because it is the first value in that field. The other two values do not show that album. Now if I am playing a song from that album, the info and tags show the full tag as shown above, so Custom Scan has read in the full fields. It just seems that somewhere along the way only the first sub-genre is used in developing my menus. One menu uses the genre sub-genre menu as a basis, and the other uses a custom scan menu as a basis (to start at sub-genre directly). So the question(s): 1. Is there something I need to do to make the custom tag recognized by custom browse (or even the server settings) as multiple values, so that the album shows up under each possible setting? Perhaps I need to use a different menu as a starting point? 2. Is this something that Custom Browse can't handle at the moment? 3. Is there something I could do to work around this that Custom Browse can handle? Perhaps I can use multiple custom tags for each sub-genre value rather than one tag with all the sub-genres? Perhaps a different tag could be used (e.g. mood, which I don't really use for anything anyway). Anyway, I look forward and thank any suggestions that come out of this. I really love the Custom Browse and Custom Scan plugins and use Custom Browse exclusively for all my duet use. Hmm, thank you. That brought a nice idee to me that worked. Cause I have a very old account (my first used with iPeng) I activated that one again and now iPeng finds the SBs on MySB..funny thing. Maybe I never was on MySB using the SBS linked to MySB_test...I cant remeber. However it more or less runs (is it normal that iPeng is scanning all after coming from MySB?) No, it should only read the first 200 items in albums and 300 in artists and genres. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Player for BBC Radio (not in UK) for SlimServer
Is there a player that will work for for BBC Radio, for listeners outside the UK and with older versions of SlimServer? My DS-207 runs SlimServer 6.54 and AlienBBC 1.06; it does not have enough memory to run a later version of SqueezeCentre. Now that the beeb has stopped broadcasting using Realaudio streams I can no longer get it on my Squeezebox, and have to resort again to long wave radio for my morning fix of BBC 4. The problem with the german characters is ad acta since the last update (which went completely automatically to my surprise!) :)) I modified Erlanders SDT Last FM Celsius Style a lot to suffice my personal needs. Of course I want to share it. The main advantages: Weather: Good Overview of Time, Celsius, rain percentage SDT Image only of today (I only want to know, what clothes to put on today) Time: good visible, wont be hidden by any other grafics.Date also available. Grafics: Switching between my own Album cover (what for did I download all my album arts??) and nice LastFM Piccys of the artist. I use a setting of 20 seconds for my album arts and only 10 seconds for the last FM Artist view. This makes the whole thing looking more steady and elegant in my eyes. Track-Info: Big Title, small Artist and Album Info (like Original Homescreen) No Scrolling (for elegance and steadyness (My S-Classic is already scrolling) I hope somebody likes it :) PS: ModelCitizen;523210 Wrote: Ah... All the BBC stations (National, Regional and local) are now available in WMA format both inside and outside the UK. Outside the uK have lower speed feeds. If it produces something like 200 or more SQL statements log entries between these rows in the log, there is still something I've missed. It's the time between these two rows that should be a lot faster in the newer version. If it works correctly, it should run a single SQL statement retrieving all 200 tracks or albums requested. It could be that running this single SQL statement just takes the same time in a large library as running 400 smaller SQL statements, in that case the changes didn't help in a larger library. I need to take a look if there is some error in the /var/log/messages file on the Radio/Touch/Controller in this scenario. If you know how to use SSH and can get the /var/log/messages file, it would help if you retrieved it immediately after the problem has occurred.
