There is no "http" in the Favorite - the plugin creates a neew protocol entry which is equivalent to http so just use "wavin:" Are you running SBS as a service/background ? Okay BPA, you can't say you dont have access to music services anymore because of your geographical location :) You have access to the best music service in the world! Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread
I just bought an iPod Touch, and downloaded iPeng to control my two Squeezebox receivers. I'm using Triodes spotify plugin (the latest one - 1.4.3) and the server is my IMac 27", running slimserver v7.5.5 - r32671 (also the latest one - just downloaded). The network is set up with fixed IPs onstationary machines, while the Squeezeboxes are getting their IP by DHCP. Everything except the iPod is connected via wired network and a 10/100/1000 switch. Now, as far as I can tell at this point, iPeng works as it should - for the most part. Accessing music from my own music library works fine. I'm having a problem accessing my Spotify playlists. I go to Spotify on the radio page, select playlists and get up all the lists. Whenever I click on one of the lists, I get the Play shuffled/add all selection, and a "Loading..." entry with a progress circle going on forever. If I click the Play shuffled/add all entry, the songs in the playlist will get added to the now playing list. Something similar will happen if I click some of the "Recent searches" - the "Loading..." entry with a progress circle comes up, and there it will stay. Some other recent searches will work. (All of my playlists, however exhibit the same problem, though). Is there a fix for this? I'm currently downloading 7.6 beta, to see if this will fix the problem... Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] WD MyBook Live NAS
Hi gabbel, a recent non-suppressable urge to update my MBL firmware left me with no SBS installed anymore. Should have known *sigh* Anywaysthus i was given the chance to re-evaluate the issue whether the installation of the additional mysql-packages was necessary. Two paths were tried: 1. Using the instructions provided by the Slimdevices Wiki[1] 2. Using your instructions but trying to skip the mysql installation Path 1 led to no good state: The Slimdevices server who was said to have the Packages available did not have PPC Binaries ready anymore. You may take the status message at the top of the wiki page literally: "This page needs editing. It may contain [ ] outdated information." It would have been too easy Path 2 worked in the end but with surprising results, but see for yourself: First I downloaded the current DEB-Package and dpkg'd it. And there she blowed: Unresolved dependencies. So your instructions were all perfectly fine and I shouldn't have asked in the first place. The rest of the night was spent firing up aptitude (Sorry, but as a designer I have to check out every available GUI first :) ), hassling with the Resolver who wanted to remove the partially installed SBS, hating the resolver, selecting the mysql-server and libmysqlclient-dev-packages (mysql-client was already installed, presumably by MBL-default) manually for installationet voilàfinally having my good old (correction: freshly installed) SBS back on duty. Pheuuuw. One thing is clear in the end: Please leave your instructions as-isthey are perfectly fine as long as the Slimdevices distro server does not provide the missing PPC package anymore. My plugin doesn't have that - so you can only play one stream at a time with a single account. You can synchoronise with both - the difference is that the Logitech support creates a separate stream per player, my plugin creates a single stream to the server which is then replicated to each player. -- Triode Triode's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79706 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spicefly SugarCube Version 2.03 (Automatic MusicIP DJ) for 7.x
Sometimes its greyed out when its scanning. Try waiting for it to finish and then go into the menus and try to select it. Failing that just select all your music files in the gui window and right click and select "Archive Analysis modifies file" (or something like that) and it will punch it into the files. Also Right Click in the left window where it has Library and select new filter, and select Match All conditions; Stored Analysis... is missing... This will then create a filter view that will show files that dont have the analysis saved within them, which you may find helpful. JackOfAll, Thanks for the pointer. (I had only skimmed the more recent posts.) I would like to test this myself (I am running Windows 7 64bit) - is this the correct settings file: C:\ProgramData\Squeezebox\Cache\InstalledPlugins\Plugins\Spotify\Settings.pm Also, where exactly have you inserted "audio_enable_norm":0 ? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
Triode, thank you for the plugin. It allows me to listen to my Boom at night. I am not sure what all the settings mean especially the " helper" ones. Can you give a basic explanation and could you recommend which settings to activate ? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
Triode, I've just seen a couple of replies to the Normalisation thread you started some time ago on the GetSatisfaction forum: http://getsatisfaction.com/spotify/topics/volume_normalisation?utm_content=topic_link&utm_medium=email&utm_source=reply_notification One suggests that including "audio_enable_norm":0 in the settings file might switch the normalisation off. A reply to that says it doesn't work but another says it does. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
When I want to play a playlist in MySB I get an error message: "cannot play filetype". But when I play the same playlist in SBS it works without problems. I guess there must be a setting to make MySB compatible with OGG files but I cannot find it. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Question regarding Triode's Spotify plugin
Do you have recommendations about which settings should be activated? Secondly, to report that my password had to be reentered because for some reason it got "removed" from the settings area. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
Just an FYI: I installed the plugin and after restarting the server the plugin saw the helper app running. But after another restart it claimed that the helper app wasn't running. I shut down SBS and killed the spotifyd.exe process that was still running. I then restarted the server again and a new helper app was launched. The plugin saw that one. Then I later tried uninstalling it. When SBS is shut down the spotifyd.exe helper app was never shut down. It and a couple of dll's were left behind while the rest of the plugin was removed. -- JJZolx JJZolx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79706 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
