Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
Hi Triode, Another big thank you for your Spotify plugin, has been a huge success with me and my family. I've just upgraded my music server from a RPi B to the new RPi 2. Everything has gone well apart from Spotify which I guess is due to the change of architecture from armv5 to 7. Testing the plugin works up to the point of streaming the music from Spotify. Is it possible to replace the armv5hf libspotify with the latest one from https://developer.spotify.com/technologies/libspotify/ manually or do you need to rebuild other components? Thanks for any help with this! chemirocha's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=18708 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79706 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I gotta say.. the mp3 streams sound noticeably worse than some of the commercial stations I've come across. It's thin and hollow with metallic swirls. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: BBCiPlayer Plugin (UK only)
Today I tested the BBC Radio applet using mysqueezebox.com and then LMS. Of the live streams I could receive R3,R4,R4x,5L and 5LSX. I could not receive R1,R1X,R2 and 6Music. All the latter reported AAC streams. I then tried On-Demand content and the results were the same except for R5L OD which reported "Connection Reset by local host and was a 96k WMA stream. (I have the Plugin set to Highest Bitrate). When I went through again using LMS the results were identical. Then I tested the iPlayer plugin with LMS and found I could access all Live and OD streams. I did experience a snag a few tunes into Bob Harris Sunday when the the connection was "reset by local host". It's good the be able to use iPlayer plugin as a second string, but I would not normally want my PC all day and evening which is why the applet is my first choice. I doubt if anything I have written will help those good people who make all this work for the rest of us but I thought I'd share it anyway :p anotherbob's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=51459 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53229 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Yes, for me TuneIn is providing the live BBC streams as MP3 at 128kbps. Presumably this is the SHOUTcast MP3 live radio stream the BBC's Audio Factory people will continue to provide for their estimated 35% of listening devices that can't handle AAC. majones's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13029 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53229 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Smart Mix plugin
I'm on version 1.6.2. I'm using it on a QNAP TS-253 PRO NAS. Since i'm using this NAS, i can't use Smartmix. When i try to make a mix from The Echo Nest, i get this: Code: { "msg": "Playing 0 tracks to Woonkamer. Starting mix on Woonkamer", "args": { "limit": "true", "bucket": [ "id:CAALKNM14B6A73FBB0" ], "type": "artist-description", "description": [ "sad" ] }, "error": "No playable tracks found" } The Echo Nest puts song in the mix that are not local. Even though that is my only music source. It seems like Smartmix can't read my Media Library. My SSOTS log shows nothing. I see that the plug in is installed in the /Cache/Installedplugins/ folder. If I looked at /Squeezeboxserver/Plugins, the folder is empty. Could that have anything to do with it? Right now i can't do anything with it, while it used to be one of my favorite options! Does anybody have any idea? markelhombre's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=63974 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97668 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

QNAP's one-stop-shop installation of SSOTS and LMS 7.7.2 works fine, if you're happy with it then don't worry. You can upgrade to 7.8.0 from within SSOTS without any SSOTS modifications. As you know, an upgrade to 7.8.1 and more recent requires the Zlib modification for the plugins to update properly. An upgrade to 7.9 requires a further tweak for SSOTS to recognise the tgz. The iplayer plugin is independent of LMS vintage. Best if Triode comments on the status of an update - the problem seems to be clarity from the BBC as to what they've have done at their end. majones's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13029 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=72709 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: New versions of erlands plugins
I finally had a chance to make a new SQL playlist and try it out. I selected create new playlist; Advanced with rating and followed the instructions in the Setup Smart Playlists wiki except that I selected Rock genre instead of Pop. So it should play all 5 star rated Rock songs in my library? Instead it is playing only mp3 files from my library and no Flac files. Also, it is playing both 4 and 5 star rated Rock songs. Is there a setting in Custom Scan that would allow making ratings tags in Mp3 files but not for Flac files? I turned off the UPNP plugin and the subscribe/unsubscribe error stopped in the server log.
