I did the change to include Ralphy's build and I have an error when trying to update the sourceforge repository ('unable to access toplevel dir' - huh ? seems to be a bug on sf). Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
Hey guys, After various successes and failures over the years with it, I'm back to trying to get my old classic working with Spotify, as there seems to be no commercial alternative at sub-Sonos prices. Last week this all worked fine, and there was much rejoicing, but the streaming was interrupted due to my flaky wifi. So I bought some improved networking tech (powerline adapters FWIW) and connected my SB to that. Everything else now works, but Spotify streaming does not. So, of course, I went back to the old set up, and the problem persists. Hence I have concluded it's probably not connected to that, and may have stopped worked for other reasons prior to this change. Setup - SB classic. - Triode plugin installed, "official" spotify disabled. - Connecting to server running on Windows 7. Symptoms: - SB classic connects ok to my server, plays my music library fine. - SB classic works ok with iPlayer (at least with live streaming, listening to old stuff it can't find the track, this has been a problem for years, but first things first...) - SB classic finds the spotify app, and can search artists and get track listings ok - However, when a track is selected it pauses on "connecting" for a while, then skips to next track. Diagnostics: - Went to SB plugins/triode spotify setup/settings, ran self test - Streaming from Spotify ok. - Says player unable to connect, check firewall. - Turned off firewall. Scary stuff probably all over my PC. Self test still fails. - Bit odd that it would be firewall anyway as the SB is clearly connecting on some level to spotify to get the track names, artist search, etc. It's the streaming that's broken. - Turned logging up to 11. All the plugin does is copy audio from an ALSA device - so you can test by say using arecord on the ALSA device without LMS running - that way you can confirm problem is not LMS or the plugin. I never liked pulseaudio - I found it broke more things than it solved. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=49584 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: WaveInput for Linux
I had a running max2play http://www.max2play.com/ setup with squeezbox and xbmc. Now I like the audio from xbmc streamed via squeezebox. For this your plugin is great. I tried to install pulseaudio and afterwards xbmc was hanging. New installation and tried to install pulseaudio and xbmc was hanging. Plain installation with the WaveInput plugin. Did not get it working. I will start again with a new installation add on the WaveInput plugin and hope you can help me to figure out what's missing. metz's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=64625 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=49584 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Can't progress past Erland's License Manager
Pascal, I didn't think I was 'dumping' on LMS in this thread; just explaining a problem I had and asking for help. And Gary's post (in my other 'active' thread) solved this problem. Although I have a MySqueezebox account, I didn't understand that License Manager wanted me to 'log-in' via the corresponding LMS Settings tab. Dumb, I know, but I just don't use MySqueezebox, and have never had a need to even look at that tab before. All fixed now. And thanks for your response.
