Nskou, Sounds like install.xml has been corrupted, since it is only supposed to have 21 lines (not 33). There appears to be an extra line in the file in the original, but parser should have ignored it (does on my win box). Create an issue on GitHub so you can send us the file and we can try to sort it out. You may have to create GitHub account if you don't have one (free). Just search powerswitch3 and hit the ! on the side to create issue. Be curious to hear if latest raspberry pi's are fast enough as a server to keep apps like squeezepad speedy. I'm using several pogoplug e02s as players--work flawlessly with vortexbox's vamp player. Been tempted to turn one into a server and store files on cloud. I haven't tried PlayHLS and know very little about it - is that worth a shot? I don't one to interfere with the other, but I guess that probably isn't a problem, as in both can coexist happily? Ill try proxy streaming, but it says LMS defaults to this when SB3s are sync'd, which in my case they are. Back in March I tried changing the DNS server to Google's - 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. I will try that again I have been using Windows 7 64bit, and recetly changed to Windows 10 64bit. rbl's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4517 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103435 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Very happy to turn it on... Are you playing the Mp3 or the HLS streams ? If it is the HLS then the pauses sound like the DNS problem - you don't say which mods you tried. IIRC You need to enable network.asyncdns to see what is happening and also check whether the mods have any effect. Depending on the OS running you could try playing the BBC HLS live urls drectly with the PlayHLS plugin installed. This means ffmpeg will do the HLS processing and also deal with DNS rather than LMS if the DNS problem is with LMS rather than the OS. If playing MP3 - try enabling LMS "Proxied streaming" using WebUI Settings/Player/Audio/MP3 Streaming Method bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103435 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

it is a lot better than say a couple of months ago, but it has broken up a few times today (radio 2, 4). Radio 3 certainly breaks up too on occasion. I'd guestimate there is a break-up about 10-20 times a day, usually only for a few seconds... It definitely has its moments where it will break up several times, and then be fine for a few hours... rbl's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4517 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103435 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Annouce: Squeeze Control, a squeezebox remote app, is now available for Android
I would like to have a now-playing display on my TV. My setup consists of the following: An Amazon Fire TV running SB player which is hooked up to a Pio AVR which is connected to my TV. LMS is 7.9. The controller is an Nexus 7 (2013) tablet running OrangeSqueeze (sorry). Some time ago, I asked wt0 about a now-playing display. He pointed me to the Chromecast feature in Squeeze Ctrl: wt0 wrote: > If all you want is a big screen display of artwork and song info, > Squeeze Control supports showing that on a Chromecast. > I have a belated follow-up question to that. Suppose I purchase a Chromecast and Squeeze Ctrl for my Nexus device. My AVR can only be set to one channel at a time. To play music, it needs to be set to the HDMI input to which the FTV is hooked up to. But the Chromecast would be on another HDMI input of the AVR. So, to switch to the Chromecast, I need to switch the channel and the music stops, no? Hooking up the Chromecast directly to the TV wouldn't be exactly elegant, either. When I switch to the Chromecast on the TV, by virtue of HDMI CEC, the AVR switches its channel to the TV as well. So the music stops once again. To prevent that from happening, I'd have to disable HDMI CEC on the TV. But that I don't want to disable it as it's needed for other purposes. Hence, it seems to me, the Chromecast wouldn't really be the solution to the problem. Is there another low-cost way to get a now-playing screen? I realize I could just buy another RPi setup. But I find that too big of an investment for that room. The FTV + SB Player works reasonably well, I don't wanna spend a lot of money merely for a now-playing display... poing's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=63617 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96757 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Is this a wanted behaviour or should the SmartMix pluging take care for playing music till the playback is stopped manualy? I should probably set up a FAQ for this question alone. I won't count, but it has been asked and discussed in this thread many times before... SmartMix does not handle the streaming. If LMS decides that streaming has failed for whatever reason, then it does so without SmartMix being involved. Now for the reasons why playback might stop: most likely SmartMix queued up a track which later on turned out not to be playable. TEN doesn't know country specific track information for all music services. Therefore it might return an ID which is not available to you. That's the most frequent cause of mixes stopping. If it is not a wanted behaviour, what could be the reason? I can't find anything in the server logs, have increased the loglevel for the plugin now... player.streaming might give you some information, too. But it's really noisy. In 7.9 I introduced some highlighting of errors and warnings when watching the log file through the web UI. It might to identify the issue. -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
