- Sometimes choosing a Squeezebox Radio seems to work in the Spotify iPhone app but the Squeezebox Radio does not play and shows no progress bar. One has to skip to the next song before the Radio really starts to play. Situation should be catched in this log: 24547 Thanks for your log files. I saw another occurrence which I thought was a new behaviour on Spotify's end. But might actually be my bug. Please give 2.1.8 another try. It seems that WHS was complaining about about spotty.exe not being 32 bit. Is it 64 bit only? No, it's 32-bits. No sign of a log file. That would very much surprise me. It behaves as if the app communicates with LMS but LMS does not send info back to the app. That's how I expect it to work: LMS can NOT initiate a Connect session. Only the Spotify applications can. If I start playing an album on a Squeezebox the first track appears in the now playing screen in the Spotify app and the track timer bar moves through the track. At the end of the first track the Squeezebox plays the second track but the now playing screen in the app remains on the first track. If I tap next track in the app the Squeezebox plays the third track and now playing screen in the app changes to the second track. I even reinstalled the Spotify app and deleted my account from the plugin but still the issue remains. Don't know if this helps but after reinstalling the Spotify app on my phone I found that I could not switch playback to my echo dot while playing music on the phone. That turned out to be caused by all the app permissions being switched off. Once permissions were on I could switch between players until I selected a Squeezebox and encountered the issue again. Ok, but all my Spotify Apps are using the same login. Not just the one that "sees" the player. Sometimes the player list in Spotify is confused when a deamon comes and goes. Do NOT enable local discovery any more, restart LMS, force quit all Spotify apps, and try again. Would it still not work? And if I hear you correctly, if I would put the LMS on one of my old Raspberry Pis, the problem would most likely be gone, right? I can't guarantee this :-). I wouldn't recommend running LMS on a first genration Pi. It should be a Pi2 or newer to get a decent UX. The local discovery code currently only works if there's no other such service running on the system (eg. avahi). Therefore it should work on pCP, but probably fails on max2play. So here is another file:24539 with the logging set to info. I can't see that much more information,... but still: logging is set to Info, I checked twice. But the info is there: discovery mode is crashing the daemon. Therefore the plugin automatically disables it. This time, when that was disabled I did not see the device in the SpotifyConnect menu on any of my phones or laptops. When it changed, because of too many restart attempts, I'm able to see the the player on the last device that was able to play something through SpotifyConnect.
