Download and pre-cache artist pictures from online sources Only download pictures for main artists, but not all contributors (composers, conductors etc.) Is that what you recommend? If so, how does this allow me to have more control over what I see? And set a "Folder with artist photos". Pictures will be stored there, and looked up from there first. So I can't seem to make heads or tails on if there's a fix for SDT and the new Wunderground API. This also stopped working for me with Domoticz as well as I use the same Wunderground weather station. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: UPnPBridge = integrate UPnP/DLNA players with LMS (squeeze2upnp)
I have returned to the quest of getting the bridge to play flac files to my Jongo. Jongos do not announce that they can play flacs but they can and the 1 line used to enable that. But somewhere in the 0.3 versions that (or the subsequent Additional Mime Types method) my Jongo became unable to play flacs and despite quite a few emails and Wireshark captures to Philippe last year he was unable to identify the cause. Over the last week or so I've been trying out each new dev version as it appeared. Somewhat to my surprise it is sort of working again. I'll explain. The common parameters are left at the default values. For the Jongo there are two overrides. Codecs has a single entry, flac. Additional mime types has a single entry, audio/flac. With these settings the Jongo does play flac files. However LMS reports that the VBR flac files are being converted to 705 kbit/s FLAC. Playing the exact same files to two other renderers (different brands but both based on Frontier Silicon chips) does not result in them being converted. Also no conversion using Philippe's Chromecast bridge to stream the same files to Google devices. In a previous post by Philippe he said that LMS is unaware of any transcoding done by the bridge. I have no doubt that it is LMS that is doing the transcoding. But why is it doing that? The LMS File Types has not been modified. The FLAC to FLAC is Native. There is no modification to the convert.conf file. There is no custom-convert.conf file. It appears to me that Additional Mime Types audio/flac is not acting as a perfect substitute. LMS is not seeing the Jongo as having the exact same flac playing capability as a renderer which does explicitly declare its ability to play flacs. drgeoff's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=59041 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103728 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

What kind of network connection are you using on the machine running LMS? Where does LMS' cache folder live? Well everything about lms/pcp and music is on the raspberry. it's connected through Wifi (fast enough to watch netflix) lms cache is on "/usr/local/slimserver/Cache" on the raspberry. I have just one device with speakers :) I wouldn't use LMS on a wifi only Pi. It's bandwidth is very limited and can be a bottleneck to communication. Or do you have both "Artists" and "Album Artists" appearing in Material? Are you usin server categories? Does the same happen with the default web UI? If you load Material in your browser as follows: Code: http://lms-ip:9000/material/desktop?debug=json&clearcache=true Then material will clear its caches, and log its messages to the console of your browser's developer tools. (You need to change "lms-ip" for your server host/ip, and must specify "/desktop" or "/mobile") When clicking on "Album Artists", you should see something like the following logged in the console: Code: JSON REQ: ["aa:aa:b5:38:e2:d7",["artists",0,25000,"role_id:ALBUMARTIST","tags:s","library_id:0"]] This was with LMS configured for 2 artists lists, and using server categories. cpd73's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66686 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
Would it be a great effort to keep the A-Z option in? I'd prefer to have it around, at least for a while, for two (admittedly minor) reasons: - I observe a tendency in myself to listen more to the stuff that turns up at the top of the lists. It's quite easy to get distracted by the shiny album covers. ;) If I can jump in from a plain text list, the T-Z albums stand a better chance of getting listened to once in a while. - I'd give the view-recycler large lists a bit of time until it's clear they work well even on maybe exotic or slow systems before I'd remove the proven-to-be-working list splitting. As stated, the A..Z splitting was only ever a work-around, the jumplist achieves the same thing but in a more standard manner. Also, the number of tracks is irrelevant, its the number of artists or albums (as these are what are displayed) that counts. cpd73's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66686 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Only visible items are shown on the page - but a 'blank' item of the remining size is added to the top / bottom. Still, with 25k albums even with an A..Z jump list with all letters and numbers = 36 categories, which would be ~700 items per category => a lot of scrolling. Therefore, with a list that large, a single list is not useable. cpd73's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66686 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
