I have a very elemental question about material skin. I am trying to launch it and have installed the plugin in LMS. When I try to launch by using the following prompt: http://192.168.x.x:9000/Material/Desktop I get one of these messages: This page isnt working 192.168.x.x didnt send any data. ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE Note, I am running LMS version 7.9.2 on Raspberry Pi using pCP. I am probably missing a step. Appreciate any assistance. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: CastBridge = integrate Chromecast players with LMS (squeeze2cast)
The chromecast player doesn't appear on the list of players on LMS 8.0 after installing castbridge plugin and generating xml file. I attach a screenshot and log of the attempts LMS is making to connect. I read the User Guide too late at night - it really isn't connecting with me, so there may be something obvious I am failing to do. I did check the MAC address generated when the Kitchen speaker was identified - it was incorrect and I updated it (and the log below). Still no speaker created in LMS drop down list, and without this how do I control the chromecast? I didn't use commandline as described in the user guide, there are pictures of this that don't load, perhaps they could have helped? 30312 Code: [20-05-16 22:39:12.0759] Plugins::CastBridge::Settings::handler (168) full processing [20-05-16 22:39:12.0763] Plugins::CastBridge::Settings::waitEndHandler (192) helper stopped, processing with callback [20-05-16 22:39:12.0767] Plugins::CastBridge::Settings::__ANON__ (158) write file now [20-05-16 22:39:12.0788] Plugins::CastBridge::Settings::waitEndHandler (200) updating page [20-05-16 22:39:12.0837] Plugins::CastBridge::Settings::handler2 (244) reading config: f5babbb495b0acfc2fe9c9bd2b1b5b67 [20-05-16 22:39:12.0845] Plugins::CastBridge::Settings::handler2 (245) $VAR1 = [ { 'udn' => '.common.', 'name' => '[common parameters]' }, { 'friendly_name' => 'Kitchen speaker', 'name' => 'Kitchen speaker', 'mac' => 'cc:cc:8d:d1:dd:56', 'send_metadata' => '0', 'udn' => 'f5babbb495b0acfc2fe9c9bd2b1b5b67', 'mode' => 'pcm, flow', 'enabled' => '1', 'send_coverart' => '0' } ]; [20-05-16 22:39:12.0849] Plugins::CastBridge::Settings::handler2 (250) reading: upnp_socket ? I'm in London on Virgin. Broadband is generally pretty speedy and stable (iPlayer and Netflix work fine). Paradise Flac streams had worked brilliantly for the last year or so, all of them including the interactive one. However for the past couple of weeks the interactive one is unusable. I get pauses/rebuffering a few times every song. The non-interactive one seems generally OK, and the 320 AAC is fine. But (and maybe this is me imagining it) I don't think the regular FLAC stream sounds as good as the interactive one. I've tried on a few different players and it's the same for all implying it's the server not the individual players. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] announce: ShairTunes2W - Airtunes on LMS (forked version with Windows support)
If I switch audio channnels on my iPad while streaming to a Squeezebox player, the player is turned off and right on again. Is there a way to avoid that, e.g. delay turning off the player to see what happens within the next couple of seconds? I only noticed that behavior because my amplifier is 'powered off and on in accordance with the player' (https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?112231-Announce-SqueezeIR-Trigger-Plugin=974905=1#post974905). Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] SqueezeIR Trigger Plugin
Oh, one more thing I just discovered I would like to do and don't know how (due to lack of knowledge about Perl and LMS): I would like to delay powering off the amplifier by a couple of seconds. If I stream to the receiver with the great ShairTunes2 plugin, switching audio channels will result in turning off the receiver and turning it right on again. How can I wait to see if that's the case and only send the IR signal if really appropriate? maf's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=30870 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112231 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I think I ran into a little problem with the way the ID of IPevents is used as part of the URL for triggering those events. Because the ID is no URI encoded, characters like space, slash or any umlaut seem to end up in the URL on the HTML page. In my case, an umlaut in the ID was no correctly rended by the browser and the link did not trigger the event. If my assumption is correct, encoding/decoding special characters on the controller should help. But what I would like even better is if one could keep the ID simple and use an additional caption element of IPevent to specify the text displayed on the page. maf's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=30870 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79524 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Because currently there is no way to 'have SqueezeIR send signals on player state changes' (https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?79524-SqueezeIR-Support-Thread=972874=1#post972874), I wrote a little plugin that allows me powers on and off my amplifier whenever the attached controller is turned on or off. While working on that plugin, I read about and experimented with the server's command line interface, as documented in the server's help pages. Using telnet, one can subscribe to events like a player being turned on. Would it be possible to utilize that in SqueezeIR? Then, the applet could react to player state changes (like power or volume) by sending IR signals. Concentrating this functionality in the applet and specifying it in IR-o-IP configuration would be much nicer that having to use and additional plugin, I think. I'm sure you'd love to add that functionality :-). maf's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=30870 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79524 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
[SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] SqueezeIR Trigger Plugin
Thanks to the SqueezeIR applet, one can use a Squeezebox Controller to send infrared commands to auxillary equipment . The attached SqueezeIR Trigger plugin is a SqueezeIR helper that allows one to send an IR signal once a specific Squeezebox player is turned on or off. I wrote it to power on an amplifier whenever the Squeezebox Receiver connected to it is turned on. And, even better, power off the amplifier when the Receiver is turned off. That, I used to forget quite offen... This is my first attempt at writing an LMS plugin. It is based on the PowerMonitor plugin. While the plugin works for me, it might not work for others. Please let me know about any problems you enncounter and suggestions for improvements you have. There are a couple of improvements I can think of already. I hope more experienced plugin writers could point out how to implement those or where something similar has been implemented already: - Provide a drop-down list of Squeezebox players on the settings page. I'm not sure how to properly filter out players that can't be controller by IR signals. - Provide a drop-down list of Squeezebox controllers on the settings page. I don't know whether there is a way to list those at all. - Validate all settings on input. How can I implement value checking in the settings page? - Support the configuration of an unrestricted number of notifications (player state changes) and potentially different players and controllers. How can I allow the user to specify as many sets of attributes as she/he likes, i.e. add fresh configuration sections and delete existing ones? For other users it might also be necessary to add the following functionality: - Differentiate between powering on and powering off Actually, I don't want to put too much efforrt into this because I still hope there might be a way to integrate the functionality into the SqueezeIR applet. On the other hand, there are many other notifications a plugin like this might react to, see the documentation of command line interface included in the server's help pages and the Slim::Control:Request module. And there are many other actions one might trigger other than sending IR signals. Have fun, maf +---+ |Filename: SqueezeIRTrigger010.zip | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=30306| +---+ maf's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=30870 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112231 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Hi all, I just installed this beautiful interface and I have a question about it. I would like to use the Signal generator plugin but, after installing it, it doesn't show up in any menu neither in Daphile's interface nor in the Logitech or in the Material one. I was told that it appears in the iPeng interface under the Extras menu entry. Is it a way to do the same in this interface? It seems there is an issue in Material displaying the track comment when the comment starts with an @ character. When I click on 'More' for a track and then on the 'Comment' item, the display does not change when the comment string starts with an @ character while for other tracks the comment is shown on a new page. The reason I ask is that material running on chrome on win10 displays a 24hr ss, whilst squeezelite on the same machine displays 12hr. Not urgent of course, just curious. staresy's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=807 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Strange thing is material running on chrome browser on same machine as squeezelite shows a 24hr clock. Will post on material thread out of curiosity. staresy's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=807 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108550 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

It is in fact, an iOS issue - or (more likely) an issue between Material Skin and iOS. In Material v 1.4.0 I added internal embedding of PDF, etc, to work around the free version of 'Full Kiosk Browser' (Android app) not allowing external links. Looks like the iOS/Safari PDF viewer has issues when used this way. I've also noticed that on iOS 12 the advanced search, extra player settings and server settings (which all embed pages from the classic skin via an iframe) don't scroll. I've tried to fix this (by googling for suggestions), but failed. However, on my wife's iPhone with iOS 13 these do work. So, for now I'll leave these as is. *Material debug:* 1. Launch via http: //SERVER:9000/material/?debug=json 2. Open browser's developer tools 3. Open console tab in developer tools 4. REQ/RESP messages sent to/from LMS will be logged here. cpd73's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66686 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=99537 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
