As far as myself and Syncing the Chromecasts, I don't care about syncing the Audio at all. I am just trying to get the Artwork Display on my TV to Follow my Stereo System I got things working today, but once in awhile my Chromecast would not display the Artwork and would just display the 'Cast' Symbol, and then revert back to the Google Pictures. Maybe, the wifi signal is not strong enough?? -- But I have an Access Point Router 10 feet and line of sight from the TV Hooking an Ethernet Cable to the Chromecast is not possible. So, I guess I am asking, if I have the Chromecast Synced with another player and it quits displaying the Album Cover, and I have it Set to not Maintain Synchronization, is my problem a weak WiFi Signal or something else. As mentioned before, sometimes LMS sends the duration as a number sometimes as a string. Usually in the code I call a function that would convert both cases to a number. However, I have noticed in the update case it was using the value as is - so I guess its a string, and your browser is not handling this. I'm not sure why I, and others, have not seen this before. I've updated the code, so this -might- now be fixed for 1.8.8 If you are feeling brave, you can install the version from git and check - if not, then wait for 1.8.8 (but I'm not sure when I'll make a release). *Material debug:* 1. For all players in a sync group, LMS sends a start request with an identical time of start and then optionally maintains synchronization by sending small adjustments based on elapsed time reported by each player. For real SB, the "identical time of start" works, for CC and UPnP, these bridges don't care about the time of start, so they start immediately. Knowing that it takes them ~2s to start and that LMS normally do not send a start time more than 2s in the future, this is why you get ~2s accuracy in start time. The bridges do not report elapsed time correctly that's why if you try to maintain sync, it will end up bad. I guess what I'm trying to say is that from LMS point of view, it's not a "manual startup of a similar playlist", it's just the normal "start each track in sync but don't maintain during track playback" mode. Two files are created; an SQLite db that stores some meta-data and a binary blob containing the musly data for each file. Musly loads this data, and some other data, into a 'jukebox' This jukebox can be created at start-up, but this can be slow, so the python API persists this to a file and loads that file at startup - which is *much* faster. So, no tags are added to the music files themselves. *Material debug:* 1. Launch via http: //SERVER:9000/material/?debug=json 2. Open browser's developer tools 3. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Music Source PlugIn?
On the Home Panel of my LMS Web GUI I see "Music Source", which says it enables streaming from my PC to an LMS Player. I've never noticed it before, but maybe it's been there for ages. Clicking on it identifies my PC by name (+ MySB.com) and attempts to connect to an IP. But nothing then happens, except that whatever was previously playing in LMS stops. My PC continues to play through its own speakers. Clicking on the MySB.com in Music Source just opens up my usual MySB.com web page. I don't see any entry for "Music Source" in Settings>PlugIns. Am I missing something? In any case, is there a way of feeding whatever is playing on my PC through to LMS and a desired player? It would - occasionally - be a useful feature. Thanks for your response. My scenario is as follows: Squeezebox classic IR eye from the 3,5" output to the receiver ir-blaster plugin Using the IR-blaster plugin you learn the IR codes of the receiver. I set the fixed volume on the squeezebox classic tot 100%, and via the original squeezebox remote (or the app) I control the volume of my receiver thru my squeezebox. This way I don't need the internal volume control of the squeezebox, I only change the actual volume of my receiver. In the standard skin, the volume always stays at 100%, no matter what I ask from the volume, and the volume changes via the IR plugin on my receiver, up or down. In material, if I press + or - it only goes up. So no way to lower the volume. Also, strangely, when I open the material skin for the first time (on any device), first thing it does is set the volume a bit higher. I also notice that I can't access the plugin settings, so maybe there is a clue? If I go to : player settings- additional settings- IR-blaster it stays blank... Hope this clarifys my problem a bit. snorrebot's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=70537 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
