Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Ratings Light
Not sure if Ratings Light have the same problem as I had with TrackStat but in TrackStat it isnt possible to write to the database during scanning, if I remember correctly the database just gave an error. If the same thing happens in Ratings Light you might want to handle this. In TrackStat I queue up the changed ratings during scanning and persist them to the database when scanning is finished. However, it could be that this doesnt happens in Ratings Light since you store ratings in the standard tables and not in separate tables as TrackStat does. Anyway, just mentioning it so you are aware of it if you get similar issues. It limits the arrow_up/down.hold mapping to Boom devices and remote button mapping changes are disabled by default (good point, thanks). I own a Boom and I never use the mini remote to browse any menus on the Boom at all. If there any owners of Boom devices who prefer to browse menus on the tiny Boom display to having some kind of basic rating support for the mini remote I'll have to revisit this. flipflip wrote: > The rating stars do appear in the default LMS webinterface. I thought about completely removing half-star support but then settled for supporting half-star ratings wherever possible. But in this case (LMS web UI) it was a pita to implement the way I wanted so I went with full-star only ratings. I think that's ok because if you can't live without half-star ratings Material is only a click away from the LMS web UI. Since remote button mapping is now disabled by default I'll push the latest version to the LMS repo. Please let me know if you find any more problems. afriend's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=39306 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113344 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Bug-fix release, changes: - Fix icon mapping for BBC Sounds when placed within Radio section. - Fix flickering of artist biography and album reviews. - Add a server-side config item to say whether artist should be shown before Band, Composer, Conductor, or after. - Move 'Show all artists' option to server-side. - Fix 'Show artwork' setting not beeing persisted. - Don't show http icons as vue icons. - Fix splitting IDs for iOS, etc. - Require long-click on volume label to mute, but long or short to unmute in 'Manage players' dialog too. - If Material's server-side password is changed, then check current password validity. - Fix navigating back when select item from 'More' menu in album subtoolbar. *Material debug:* 1. Perhaps the stock firmware is just "better" at gliding over corrupted incoming data and avoiding the problem in the first place. ralphy wrote: > > I also get concealing corrupted frames messages, which the stock > firmware doesn't report or appear to have similiar. > This is beyond my knowledge level. I guess the decoder element is just seeing a lot more of the errors than it would in the 'stock' firmware. Chasing that down seems to me to be a real labour of love. Given that all incoming stream data is somewhat protected by way of being delivered by TCP, and can reasonably be assumed to come from a competent server, I think that you may have done enough. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Looking for someone willing to update Inguz EQ/DRC settings page
I have spent yesterday and today looking at this. First trying to see if I could rip out the Silverlight from the original code, but as I thought it is called all over the place, so I abandoned that approach and instead have been trying to get the calls to and from LMS working. I have now got a basic set of calls working, which means that pre-sets and settings can be loaded and saved. However I have now got to re-write the front end, but everything left is in HTML and Javascript, and although I am a bit rusty, it is all do-able. I was thinking of changing the up/down buttons for sliders and making it easier to save against an existing pre-set. I won't be changing the back end! foxesden's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=56286 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113604 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Nice! But I don't know what you mean by "context menu". I can click a song in the playlist (right part of the screen) or in the browse menu (left part) and in the song details page there is now the stars rating "widget" instead of just the rating number (for songs that had rating). It works fine and it displays correctly (Firefox, Linux). It displays as the first item in the list. I think the default "rating: number" entry displays further down (not sure, though). Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
Hi, thanks for this wonderful plugin first of all! I've noticed a little glitch since updating to Material 2.2.1 which relates to the 'Music and Artist Information' panels so possibly not to Material per se. The 'artist biography' pane repeatedly reloads (flickers and displays "fetching..." for a moment every 5 seconds or so) once accessed while tracks are playing. This occurs in both desktop and mobile layouts. I've removed and reinstalled the Music and Artist Information plugin, cleared browser/app caches on any devices being used, and updated the server from 8.1.0 to 8.1.1, without any change in this behaviour. My server setup is below. Anyone else seeing this? My apologies if it has been flagged already but I could see no mention of it. I can launch material with debugging enabled but don't know where to access the output? I'm no UI expert, but I think the issue is the mixing of icons and images, if there were icons and then images, or vice versa, it would look better. *Material debug:* 1. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] 'MediaServer' *certified* Alexa skill for LMS
After I posted, I sent the key from my Macbook to one of my pCP machines, just to check whether there was a compatibility issue between the Mac's RSA key and openssh on the Pi. I used ssh-copy-id on the Mac, and that worked fine, and I can now log in to the Pi from my Mac without a password. That ssh-copy-id command does not exist on pCP by the way. I've now repeated the process for my other pCPs :-) chill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10839 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111016 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

There is a bit of a chain of events to this : I was obliged to add in support what the BBC call a "single item promo" (so that I can continue to demonstrate I'm following their distribution policy). Which is when they want to promote a single item on the landing menu, they do these once a week or so. You will see these as a big banner front and centre on the BBC Sounds app or website. I've implemented it as a playable menu item that appears at the bottom of the top level menu with image etc. Once I'd done that, it looked daft with one menu item with artwork and the rest just text, so that is when I implemented the icons (I'm regretting making them the Sounds brand orange, I'm going to change that, but hey, I'm no ux designer!) For the 3 curated content menu (featured brands, daily editorial choices, and recommendations), there wasn't an icon used on the website to guide me and the title and type of content is dynamic anyway, so I am just showing the image of the first item they are promoting. To be fair to me, that looks fine in most controllers (include radio/touch etc) as the images whether they are icons or artwork are all the same size. I have to concede , it does look a bit wobbly on the Material skin. We all love material skin because it puts a slick modern looking UI on top of our 'vintage' LMS :). So I don't want to be accused of making that look clunky! So I'll pick some icons for the curated content menus, but the "single item promo" will occasionally appear along with the artwork. *BBC Sounds Plugin Wiki* : https://github.com/expectingtofly/LMS_BBC_Sounds_Plugin/wiki expectingtofly's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=63263 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113045 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I have a key-pair I set up years ago that I keep reusing every time I add a new machine to my arsenal. I even used it successfully on this same pi when it was running OctoPi for my 3D printer. I didn't really try yet to troubleshoot as it's not a high prio.
