It will likely take me a while. The original author of SDT, Greg Brown, worked out all the screensaver functionality. Most of my efforts since ~2015 when Greg no longer had the time to support SDT has been in the area of identifying new sources for data, data collection, and data parsing. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
Just wondering if something has happened to the shortcut keys on a recent version? I regularly use Cmd+Shift+E on my Mac to Expand Now Playing, but it no longer seems to work. The shortcut combination still appears in the tooltip and help (and shortcuts are enabled in the settings) but the Now Playing screen only works when I click the button. Tried it in both Chrome and Safari. Some shortcut keys work (e.g. Alt+Up, Alt+Down for volume) but I've tried a few others (Cmd+G for Settings, Cmd+I for information) and they aren't working either. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [ANNOUNCE] TVH Plugin - TVHeadend integration
Hi Andrew, because of remove icon mapping in MaterialSkin, I became aware of your plugin - using TVHeadEnd and LMS since many years now I added my DVB-C Radio channels manually to favorites like: 'http://Squeeze:mypass@LMSServerII:9981/stream/channelid/128246553?profile=radio' Great job and infrastructure for your TVH Plugin. This makes it much more comfortable! Especially adding the station icon via favorites.opml was always a pain. Two minor things: The icon in Squeezer is missing and it seems your are using the channel number for tuning. In my case all radio channels were 0 and your plugin tuned everything to the same channel. Could you maybe use the id like Kodi is doing it? But for now I set all my channels to a specific channel number. If you like I can open a bug/request in GitHub ;-) By the way I'm using HTS Tvheadend in its Version 4.3-1857~g221c29b40 (together with LMS) on a RPi4. Means I've no transcoding via TVHeadEnd enabled - but my DVB-C provider feeds the stations in MPEG-2 audio. So for adding a "Stream Profile" I used: "Type Audio stream/ Audio type: MPEG-2 audio". Works perfect! Again - Thanks a lot for the great work!!! I upgraded my system from 7.x to 8.2 nightly today. Before upgrading I edited the install.xml of those plugins in my local installation, which had a 7.* instead of 8.* as maxversion. among many plugins installed, I had to update only 4: PLUGIN_IHEARTRADIO PLUGIN_PLAYHLS PLUGIN_PLAYMP4 PLUGIN_WAVEINPUT I verified that iheadradio and waveinput work, I have no experience with playhls and playmp4. Maybe we could move the first two to the "compatibility list", the other two may be verified for users. Concerning patches and plugins for the hardware - we should go the same way - allowing all patches and plugins to work with the community firmware by updating the repository files or even patching the plugins. just for info - I had many plugins installed, the entire list below: not all tested, but no major hiccups during starting them. The entries should be Flac - arecord/flac MP3 - arecord/lame Thius will be disabled if you do not have "lame" installed PCM - arecord Since you have shown that "arecord" works on your system - then the problem is the permissions - the user id which is running LMS cannot find/execute the application arecord. This is strange. I have Ubuntu 20.04 and it is ok for me. Permission may also include groups. For example on some system the userid which is running LMS needs to be a member of the audio group so that it can access audio hardware although this depends on your audio hardware - which looks to be ordinary PC except for an odd additional subdevice. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=49584 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Thats is not easily doable. Each player advertises itself as a single unit, not one unit per zone. So you would have to modify the helper to create 2 bridge players for each detected airplay player and then associate the « special command » to select the zone. From a software development this is doable but this is a fair bit of custom code that I would not be able to make generic. If you know your way to C, you can do that LMS 8.1.x on Odroid-C4 - *SqueezeAMP!*, 5xRadio, 5xBoom, 2xDuet, 1xTouch, 1xSB3. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: AirPlay Bridge = integrate AirPlay devices with LMS (squeeze2raop)
I'm new to this forum, and new to LMS/Squeezebox, but I'm experienced with home automation and networking. I have LMS and the Airplay Bridge running on a Raspberry Pi, and they are working well. I have 2 AV receivers, a Yamaha and a Denon, and both have Airplay. They are both detected by Airplay Bridge and are working properly. What I would like to be able to do is use the Zone 2 feature on each of the receivers, ideally having Zone 2 show up as a separate player in LMS. For example, I have a Yamaha receiver in my basement. The main zone shows up via Airplay as Basement. The receiver's Zone 2 is wired to speakers in my back yard. I'd like to have an additional player in LMS called Backyard, that would use Airplay to play to Zone 2 of the Yamaha receiver. Currently, I can do this by choosing the Basement player in LMS, then switching over to the Yamaha remote app, turning on Zone 2 for Airplay, and turning off Zone 1. It works, but it's cumbersome, and it will interrupt anyone using the receiver in the basement (Main Zone). The Denon has a similar set up, with the main zone in one room and Zone 2 in another. Both the Yamaha and the Denon can be controlled over IP, and I do have the control protocols. So, what I'd like to know is whether there is a way to: 1. Set up two players in LMS/Airplay Bridge for each receiver, one for the main zone and one for Zone 2; 2. Whenever a player is selected, have LMS send the necessary control codes to the appropriate receiver to configure it to play to the proper zone. Before I spend a lot of time trying to figure out how to do this, I thought I'd check in here to see if someone had already had success with something similar, or had tried and determined it was impossible. Thanks for any help you can give. Since any method discussed requires changing some settings from default I think the method of just hard coding the MAC address is the most efficient as there is no dependence on the passing of time. My PiCore Player is just a player, LMS runs elsewhere on my network. This issue raised its head when I experienced a power failure. Compared to the time it takes my router to boot the PiCore Player has been fully up for ages. The wait time for the router would be quite long, but that long wait would only be required when my whole network and devices are booting at the same time. I've decided that since the original illusive setting I was looking for seems to not exist I'll use the "-m" method and hard code the MAC address. This way I won't be dependent on some timer hoping the router gets its boot done before the timer expires. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Music & Artist Information plugin
Do you get the IDs from MusicBrainz? If so, why do they change on each scan (and why are mine so much shorter than MusicBrainz IDs)? No, but some include them in the tags. LMS would then consider different IDs different artists. Lack of those IDs LMS would combine to artists of the same name. How would these plugins interact with the MAI cache? CustomBrowse artist menus use MAI's artist image. https://github.com/erland/lms-custombrowse/blob/1c61b27e75b29c8541d06665fff4cbf895c3a182/src/MenuHandler/BaseMenuHandler.pm#L1092 Likewise, TrackStat most-played (and least played) artist menus get the artist image. https://github.com/erland/lms-trackstat/blob/fe583776eafce682086a0cc2731a8676b67652f6/src/Plugin.pm#L3505 Ok, good to know! But I believe the plugin should continue to work with these IDs. Yes, please share with me. How should I share them? Although based on your mention of MusicBrainz Never mind. I think I already got most of it working (discovering other bugs on the way...). IDs above, I'm not sure my change is the right approach. What if we could put a stable ID in the database (e.g., MusicBrainz if found, and a hash of the artist name if not)? That seems like it could maintain the performance improvement while still addressing the problem of identically-named artists and without the need to change Erland plugins (which is problematic to say the least...). The hash idea is problematic, as it doesn't allow the reverse lookup: if a hash was sent, I'd have to have some hash -> artist mapping somewhere. I think I'll still give the name a try (probably the Musicbrainz ID, too), seeing how much of a problem this really is. ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
