Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] announce: ShairTunes2W - Airtunes on LMS (forked version with Windows support)
I'm utilizing the official LMS docker container on top of a ubuntu. Details below. I cannot discover the target airplay device but don't see relevant concerns in the logs. I've tried restarting the container, trying retrying the helper, etc and no luck. Any suggestions? Or am I mistaken? It's possible, just not as simple as one button click. Is this supposed to be a one-time import or are you thinking of keeping ratings in sync between 2 or more audio server systems? One straightforward way for a -one-time import- would be to - create 5 playlists (1-5 stars) with your rated tracks in that other music software and export them as m3u/m3u8-playlists, - import these playists into LMS (settings > basic > rescan > only playlists), - use RL to assign a rating value to the tracks in those playlists. What I do to keep my ratings in sync between iTunes and LMS is to keep them (together with a keyword) stored in the music files' comment tag so they can travel with the files. RL can pick up rating values from comment tags and import them into LMS. If I rate tracks in LMS RL has an option to export playlists with just those new/changed ratings so I can easily set them in iTunes. afriend's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=39306 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113344 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Music & Artist Information plugin
Many artists seem to share names with others, particularly monomynous artists such as Sebastian or Fish, but also bands from one country who forget to look abroad before picking a name such as Kyoji Yamamoto's old band Bow Wow and recent rapper Bow Wow colliding. Is it possible to have MAI disambiguate these somehow? Can I add an Id3 tag to the albums to specify a unique artist? -(Let me just add a few extra key words here, to make it easier to search for this in the future :) #ambiguous #duplicate #twin #same name)- Thomas Nielsen -I breathe music...- thniels's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=71094 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=99537 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Does any other audio from MediaServer (e.g. from LMS or a lossy stream) play on that setup? My guess is that the combo-Echo has a different deviceID to where I'm directing the stream. philchillbill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68920 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111016 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
When I click the three dots on an item in my queue and select "More," what shows up in the left pane is normally a list of all the tags for that item. An example is the screenshot below. But I noticed last night that sometimes the display is abbreviated, consisting only of "Artist" (not Album Artist, although that's what it is), "Album," "Genre," and "Title," which last is oddly placed -below- "More Info." Now this morning, that behavior has changed, although not for my Android device. Any idea what's going on? —Actually, after some thought, I figured it out. I had rescanned the database, and the items in the queue that were affected by the display problem were already there before the rescan. Items added later were the ones that showed all the tags. This morning the problem is gone on my PC because I made a new queue, but not on my Android device because I didn't change that queue (which is for a different player). So, now I guess this is a merely informational post, in case anyone else notices this. -David 34885 +---+ |Filename: 2021-06-02.jpg | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=34885| +---+ dpotts's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=29782 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] 'MediaServer' *certified* Alexa skill for LMS
I've been playing around in my beta with more relaxed intents where you can (initially) leave out some parameters that are currently always required. Take *PlayAlbum* as an example. Currently, you must always specify *both* the {Album} name and the desired {Artist}. If you leave out the artist and just mention the album name, Alexa will -always- ask for the artist. That makes sense for 'Greatest Hits' because you probably have many of those and the artist name is needed to filter down. But what of an album like 'Phaedra' or 'Dark side of the Moon', where it's very likely the artist is TD or Pink Floyd? You might have several versions of DSOTM but they are all by Floyd. What I've toyed with is checking for a match when you only specify {Album} on its own: * If there is just one hit, it plays and you are told who the matched artist was. * If there are several hits and they are all *by the same artist*, the best fuzzy match (usually shortest) of the album name plays and you are told who the artist is. If you had wanted one of the other variants such as e.g. Vinyl / Live / Remastered, you could have specified that along with the album name originally - e.g. 'DSOTM Vinyl' - and then that would play instead of plain DSOTM. * If there are several hits *and also* several artists the query matches, you are asked "... By what artist is that?" and the command re-runs with the included artist name in the search. This needs a voice-model change and thus recertification, so I may as well include a few other community desires before submitting and get it all done in one whack. Where else is this type of relaxation desirable? PlaySong, I guess? What else? philchillbill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68920 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111016 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce : BBC Sounds Plugin
Hello, First of all let me thank yo for the plugin, great work! Lately I notice I cannot unsubscribe to a program when there are no programs left to play as the unsubscribe button is in the next menu item. I had a subscription on doentime symphony, but that program stopped and after a couple of weeks there where no programs left in that menu item. Offcourse I could do this in the bbcsounds app itself, but it would be nice if this could work within lms. Cheers! Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 4.4 - more personalised content
Listening through spotty plug-in, affects recommendations and the personal playlists of Spotify? Unfortunately no. There's a bug in librespot which makes this fail. I'm currently working on updating the helper binary to the latest. We'll see whether this is working then. Unfortunately I don't think it's fixed yet. One developer says it was working at some point, but Spotify changed something on their end which broke his implementation. See https://github.com/librespot-org/librespot/discussions/626 Is there any difference between connect and listening directly from plug-in? WRT. the above? I don't think so. ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
