Yes, that's by design: you have to add at least one album by an artist for him/her to be imported. ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Squeezelite-X
I have recently found this great app for my LMS setup throughout the house. Use it mainly for my home office. One thing I noticed is a sudden stop of music playback and the display of an error message (see below) that a player name already exists. I let it time out, music playback resumes and everything works as expected. Any idea why this would happen? Been a Squeezebox user for the longest time so it's great to see this legacy continues. Given I do lots of work from my home office it's important to have the whole selection at my fingertips. I have the very same setup as @TurnipMan so will have to try the Primary Sound Driver. However if I understand this correctly this maintains audio output but will switch it to the built in speakers if the monitor switches off and vice versa if the monitor comes back. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: UPnPBridge = integrate UPnP/DLNA players with LMS (squeeze2upnp)
I think that means that it has found them at some time but not since the most recent restart of the plugin. You could take a look at the local log of the plugin to see if there are any clues. Networking issues would be a typical reason - e.g. no response to a discovery packet because of LAN segmentation (although that would probably mean that something significant had changed in your home LAN setup since they last worked). Thanks! As of today I have this version, and the problem persists. I'll send you one of my files. As far as I know, it affects my entire Ogg-ripped library. It may very well be that the fault lies in the files, but as mentioned they were encoded with the standard Linux vorbis tools. The current release of squeezelite is 1.9.9-1386 and my linux builds are available from https://sourceforge.net/projects/lmsclients/files/squeezelite/linux/ All these builds have the codec libraries built into the binary. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] 'MediaServer' *certified* Alexa skill for LMS
The commands for NowPlaying, ComingNext, Duration and PlayerState will now more elegantly handle the metadata from remote streams like internet radio. Under the hood, the skill now checks the 'remote:1' flag. If it is set, the returned JSON is parsed differently to extract the stream metadata.
