Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Music Similarity DSTM mixer
I've updated the initial post with links to alpha2 ZIPs. I've tested these under a Windows10 VM, and they -appear- to work. I tested with 6 files - 2 ogg, 2 mp3, and 2 flac files. I did notice one oddity in that on an initial run only the output of the 2 ogg files was saved to the SQLite database. But, on a subsequent run the mp3 and flac results were added. Odd. I'll investigate further later. I was caching the essentia output to JSON files, so perhaps there is an issue (under Windows) there. But at least this shows some progress... *Material debug:* 1. To get audio to emanate from the Echo itself, it needs to be pointed at a URL to grab the audio stream from. The only way to do that from LMS is via /stream.mp3. An Echo can handle any audio encoding you throw at it, but LMS only streams mp3 so transcoding is indeed required on the LMS end for e.g. OGG radio streams. This reminds me of when @chill first used the skill with pCP, his install was missing LAME for some reason and he also had no sound until he remedied that omission. I'll bet that's the issue here too good suggestion. philchillbill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68920 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111016 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Hi Craig, I like the disc naming feature for multiple disc sets very much. Would it be possible to make the discs collapsible so that only the disc titles are displayed, and then expanded if clicked on? Apologies for my lack of knowledge here. I wasn't sure if an LMS restriction would prevent this or if it were something that Material could handle. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Music Similarity DSTM mixer
Hi Craig Have just noticed this, and I'm going to give it a go on my Windows setup... I'll report back when I can - but I only have a few minutes this evening, then I'm away for a couple of days - so it may be a slow process. First thing I've hit which looks odd, having installed the various requires Python components is this error when I try an analyse a sample library file set: 2021-12-28 20:33:57 E FAILED TO OPEN MUSLY SHARED LIBRARY (G:\INSTALLATION FILES\SQUEEZEBOX\MUSIC-SIMILARITY\WINDOWS\MINGW32\MINGW64\LIBMUSLY.DLL)! That path looks odd, as it has both mingw32 and minw64 in it - where it should likely be one -or -the other. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: UPnPBridge = integrate UPnP/DLNA players with LMS (squeeze2upnp)
Hi Does anyone have recommended settings for using a Sonos One and 1:Play with the UPnP Bridge when playing Integrated Online Music Library tracks with local tracks (either as a Playlist or Random Songs)? I am using Tidal for online music. I have noticed when playing music this way that every other online track will be cut short prematurely (around the 2 mins mark). Local files, which are a mixture of FLAC and MP3 play fine. Tracks played via the Tidal Plugin to either Sonos via LMS play fine. I have tried various http combinations (chunked, no length etc) and all 3 gapless options, but with no luck. FYI: my squeezelite players (which are PiCorePlayers) play online and local files without issue. If you require logs, please let me know what type of logs would be best. The next step in resolving this would be either of the following: 1. Install a patched copy of Plugin.pm in your plugin directory that ignores 100% volume requests from ANY player when running with fixed volume, not just the SB Touch. 2. Turn debug on for the plugin and wait for the problem to occur again so I can see exactly what sequence of events is happening. Either choice would require running the player with volume fixed at 100% for some period of time. Let me know which option, if any, you would like to pursue next. Favs from Global Player and BBC Sounds refuse to play. Global shows metadata but SOUNDS just gives a blank black screen. castalla's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15624 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111016 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

It may well be that AirPlay to Apple Tv to AirPlay Stereo requires a feature of AirPlay 2. To get around it (and have potentially redundant players in the LMS UI) create an LMS Dynamic Group called HomePods and put the 2 HomePod devices in it and then play to that new group (which is also a plugin from Philippe). If you use SugarCube, or my fork of the LMS 'MIP DSTM mixer' (https://github.com/CDrummond/lms-mipmixer), these will convert paths to/from LMS - allowing these to be different. I process my files with MIP on a Linux laptop, save to default.m3lib, and then run MIP itself on a Pi4 - my DSTM plugin then handles converting the paths so that this functions correctly. Alternatively, I wrote a simply 'python proxy script' (https://github.com/CDrummond/musicip/tree/master/proxy) that will also do this conversion, allowing you to use the LMS supplied MIP plugin. *Material debug:* 1. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: MusicIP container for ARM based systems - first release.
That's a good point, the path to your music files must be the same in both LMS and MusicIP. I'm not familiar with OSMC but whatever the path to your music is in the LMS Settings -> Basic Settings -> Media Folders page should also be used in the MusicIP container. Note that this is the second path for the -v option in the docker run command, not the first (-v physical_path:/path_in_container). For example, in my case, I'm running both LMS and MusicIP in containers and they both map my physical music file path (/storage/music) to /music in the container. If the MusicIP interface reports files in the library after you've added them, and the Test Mix Creation button works the issue is likely to be with the LMS - MusicIP integration. sparkyuk's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=70716 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114235 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] AirPlay Bridge - can not play to Apple TV with HomePod Minis as default output
The AppleTV works with the HomePod Minis as default speaker, I can airplay to it as well. So this side works. But trying to play from LMS AirPlay Bridge, no sound is coming through the HomePod Minis. When I change to the TV speaker as default output, I get sound. So it works with the TV speaker (connected via audio back HDMI thingy) but not HomePod Minis which are connected via airplay. Any ideas? Or is it because the HomePod Minis use AirPlay 2 but the AirPlay Bribge only supports AirPlay one (which would be strange)? rkrug's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=62249 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115640 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Then the pod got discovered, but some other not wanted device also. Normally not a problem, because then "just deselect the checkmark" of the not wanted device. But then also the homepod got deselected. Without changing anything else, i've selected the pod again, but this wasn't saved. So beginning from the top,. erasing config. Is the Show's firmware up to date? Amazon recently fixed quite a number of bugs in the Shows. Or is your Show on a different WiFi network/subnet to LMS? If the fav plays ok on a regular SB then it basically -has- to stream ok on a Show because the Show is just pointed to the same /stream.mp3 from LMS as a SB would be. It's LMS (with plugin if necessary) that is actually handling the playback.
