I'm curious as to how you came to the conclusion that few people are
interested in it. I've been using it with Qobuz ever since I first found
out about it but haven't had the need to post here (except to make an
incorrect statement based on my misunderstanding of how the app works).

While I AM here, though, I must say that it would be nice to have an
option to select the desired target player dynamically rather than in
the app. Other than that, it does what it is supposed to do and does it
well.

You can't have LMS involved into that. AFAIK, you should have
shairport-sync running on the Pi that should play audio and then an
AirPlay server on the Pi playing video, that will redirect sound to the
shairport-sync on the other Pi, providing audio/video sync. I can't
think of a Linux AirPlay server (sender) that mimics a sound device, but
I'm sure there are some, like on Windows

Thanks for the tip. I changed over to a USB Ethernet adapter for my
Lenovo laptop and it has fixed the issue. Thanks a lot. This has driven
me crazy. However the chipset is likely different as the old laptop is
about 7 years old whereas the new one is less than a year so chances
that it's software related (e.g. Windows, others etc.) is high.

Anyway hope this helps others facing the same issues

The UI seems to try to play for 5 secs, then skips to the next song in
the list. No audio is heard.

The log seems to indicate that it just iterates the playlist songs in a
few secs (look at the log timestamps).

yes, "more" is a required tap. I had asked about that earlier. But, once

I find I like it allot for suggestions, then navigating from there. For
example, a 10cc album was suggested after listening to Yello, select the
suggested album, instead of playing that, go down to the rest of their
albums and pick the one you want. Or, similar artists will take you
somewhere else...

I didn't give the standard LMS UI much time, I found it difficult for
anything other than search and find.

The one quirk is some of their "collections" that are not playlists
won't play directly, but you can save the collection to a playlist, then
share the playlist

Many thanks to Stuart for spending a good chunk of time sorting out a
fairly minor problem that seemed only to effect non-UK listeners.

+1 I agree!

I use it exclusively, I don't even bother with the LMS UI.

I recommend it in other threads when the limitations of the LMS UI come
up, and ...

I wonder if it's partly due to the fact that there are so many apple
people out there. Even if you are an apple person you can buy a cheap
android mini tablet.

Maybe the thread title should be "free money to try this app!" Then the
first post say "just kidding about the money, but try this app"

I really wonder why so few people are interested in this app. It's
really a great improvement for everyone that uses streaming services.

Upsampling is maybe the way to go. I tried the -u parameter and took the
example
Code:

-u hMX

and let LMS play random albums with different khz most are 44100 and
the seem to play at the right pitch. Still confused , but at
least I have something working for now :D
