I noticed, when trying My Music / New Music, that you can't play the music there as a playlist, instead you have to start each song individually. Spotify has mainly three ways that I use for finding new music: 1. Each Monday they present a playlist called Discover Weekly, which is music similar to that of the music I listened to previous week. I think one also has to consider which of the streaming services that will be present in 5 years or so. I've got maybe 40 playlists that I've maintained for next to 10 years and I wouldn't want to have to start all over because my service shuts down. I've started using Random mix these last few months, and with Playlist manager I've started creating like 25-30 playlists. Problem is that every time LMS is updated (maybe even just restarted) Playlist manager forgets which songs have been added to which playlists, and therefore I add duplicate songs to the playlists. Is there a way to get around this? I'm having a chromecast audio connected through aux in to my kitchen radio (Revo Superconnect). Using this plugin works wonders playing Radio Paradise to the kitchen radio. Thanks for all the hard work keeping this running! I have a question: When pausing the music and nothing is being played for a few minutes, my kitchen radio turns off. After contacting Revo they say it's designed that way. So, my question is, is there a way to have this plugin keep the connection to the aux port alive? And here's yet another weird behaviour I'm having: Playing a playlist that was started using Connect and from the Android Spotify app (my device was obviously discovered, I now wanted to play another playlist but when hitting the big green shuffle button (still in the android Spotify app) my device disappears the second I hit the button. The former playlist continues to play and if I wait 30 seconds or so, the device is yet again discovered but trying to shuffle a new playlist makes the device disappear. I'm still trying to track down why the discovery of my devices comes and goes at what it seems random intervals. As I've mentioned before it almost always helps to restart the server. This time however a restart didn't help. I'm not sure if it is of interest, but in the log to me it seems that after the restart this time it disables discovery explicitly. This is when trying to use the Connect feature from the Android Spotify app on a Galaxy S8 (I did switch phone, in case it would show a different behaviour). And, I've had automatic updates turned on in LMS and pretty much every time when there's a new update to be found when right clicking the LMS icon in the taskbar, then the Connect feature has stopped working a little earlier... Yesterday I actually found a couple of old phones to try with, but they act the same as my main driver Huawei P10, when the selectable LMS device disappears it disappears on all phones at the same time. Yesterday I also turned off the Automatic updates of LMS (since it seems to have a negative impact on the Connect) but when turning it off, LMS immediately said there was an update available and after installing that the Connect feature has worked better. The detection of the LMS device in the android Spotify app unfortunately got even more broken after the latest update of LMS. But now there are quite a lot of errors in the log :) Now the LMS device comes and goes ever 30 or so seconds. And. The server is on ethernet, so I can't see that it's possible for the phone to be on a separate network... Then it struck me that I use a pair of wireless speakers (Audio Pro Living LV33) that creates their own WiFi) and thought that that might be the interference. But just to make it harder to discern a pattern, it's now worked flawlessly for close to 10 hours. Figure that... I'm running out of ideas. I cannot see a pattern, apart from when the device has disappeared and I restart the server, then the device reappears in the android Spotify app 10-15 seconds before the LMS icon appears in the Windows task bar. I have to admit I have no idea what's going on. Now the LMS device has been missing for an hour. The Spotty process is running fine. So is the Squeezelite process. I've restarted LMS, restarted the phone. I've turned off every battery saving option of the phone. Nothing seems to help. We might be narrowing in on it. Not really, but I'm not that good at interpreting the log. Below shows
yesterday where the log produced only a few lines in the early morning
where it, to me, looks as if the daemon is started, and my device was

The LMS server going to sleep we can rule out since it's an always on server. I've seen to it that it cannot go to sleep. I have a Logitech harmony Elite with the hub, and I've had problems with it saying, when trying to communicate with the hub, that the phone and the hub are not on the same network. Them being on separate networks might have something to do with it. I have a Logitech harmony Elite with a hub and more often than not when using the Harmony app to communicate with the hub it says my phone is not being on the same network as the hub. Waking up the phone Not having skipped with the Touch's remote does Not make the song pause. You might need to use the Local Player plugin where Squeezelite then acts as a software player. Then you set up a Touch to use that player (Squeezelight). Then start a playlist from your android Spotify app, see to it that the screen of the phone goes dark, and now when the song plays you use the Touch's remote to skip to the next song and let play for a few seconds, and now when you wake up your phone's screen by using your fingerprint reader the currently playing song will pause within a second. At least this is what happens for me. And as said, it happens 100% of the time. Now I've had the chance to test the Connect feature on Windows a bit. I'm experiencing a few glitches. Starting a playlist from the Android Spotify app using Connect by selecting my device starts the playlist fine but every now and then a song stops in the middle and I have to restart it. At one time a song in the playlist started without sound and when I used skip the next song started as it should, with sound... But what's more of a problem is that at least every other time I wake the screen on my phone with the fingerprint reader the currently playing song stops and when I restarts it it starts from the beginning. Yes, it's enabled. It's been enabled for quite a few weeks and it has been working as in my device being detected. But maybe two weeks ago it stopped being detected.
