Many thanks Michael for the updated RP plugin!

I've had a Radio Paradise account for some time but had only rated a few
songs.
I did find that after you log in on the RP website, you can go back
through the "Play History" (under the "Music" tab) and rate songs there
very quickly.

Thanks again!!

I'm still on the Thursday pre-release and noticed today's OT game

I did some investigative work on my end (dangerous, as I am a
programming novice) but I found that to get things going I needed to
replace "JSON" with "JSON::XS". I believe there were 4 instances in the
plugin.pm file you provided, starting with line 195.
I am running LMS 7.8 on Ubuntu 10.04.

Getting some errors re: parsing WeatherTomorrow but current conditions
are working as are the sports scores.

FYI - I learned of this free utility in an earlier post - thanks Steve!

With it you can open .par files directly to edit/replace the plugin.pm
without renaming to zip, repackaging, etc.

NBA All-star game is the culprit here! Set NBA teams to NONE for today.
May need to restart server but screen updates will come back.

Confirmed -

Can't call method "content_list" on an undefined value at
/loader/0x5b98fb4/Plugins/SuperDateTime/Plugin.pm for this line within
NFL subroutine:

my( $away_team )   = $teams[ 0 ]->content_list

setting NFL Teams to NONE brings weather and screen refresh back

For me, versions post 5.8.7 are not working with manual install on
7.3.

What I am doing on my 7.3.4 SC is 'patching' my working copy of ver
5.8.7 with relevant sections from the newer plugin.pm files. So far so
good with both weather and sports updates, but you do have to unpack the
.par files and copy/paste in a text editor and re-package.

ESPN has changed the scoreboard to be weekly for NFL unlike NBA

Thanks for working on the NCAA FB scores. I just modified my plugin
using the files attached to your original post. I notice that tonight's
game is showing up but also the game(s) scheduled for Thursday and the

Previously only the current day's scores were displayed. Does this
tweak to convertTime fix that?

This plugin was available prior to "official" Sirius support. There is
a lengthy support thread in this forum as well.

http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=20621

It has features not available w/ the "built-in" Sirius module including
ability to use SB1 and software players. I can still use with SB1 and
Squeezeplay just not Softsqueeze (connects apparently but silent on
3.9b). There is no conflict between the two AFAIK.

I run 7.3.3 svn trunk on Ubuntu 8.1; Squeezeplay and Softsqueeze are on
WinXP.

A: AlienBBC w/ mplayer

Q: Have you installed the AlienBBC patch to mplayer.sh for WMA support

A: Don't remember if this version (attached) is patched - I made
several tweaks some time back when this problem w/ 7.3.3 and wma

I use an SB1 for MLBGameday but the file type is a wma stream that
needs to be decoded for the SB1 by the server (e.g., mplayer on Linux
OS). Check your settings for wma under server settings>advanced>file
types.

Are you able to listen to other wma streams (internet radio) on the

The only item you will find in the web UI are the plugin settings
(email address/password for MLB Gameday). After plugin installation, to
login and tune games you will need a hardware player with a display
(e.g., SB1/SB3/Boom) or Softsqueeze also works.

There is no interface provided in the current plugin for web or

2) No web (or controller) interface other than the settings page is

Not sure how this would work (if at all) on controller/receiver combo

Well it took more than an hour for me but the edits to the CBB section
(attached) are working for me. Let me know if you guys see anything
that is wrong with the code.

One thing I noticed is the Top-25 scoreboard also contains games being
broadcast on the ESPN channels, so you get more than just the Top-25.

I'm guessing some code could be written to exclude these 'other' games
but that exceeds my cut-and-paste skills. ;-)

Thanks again Steve for the templates - March Madness is just around the

Sirius and Napster streams (128kbps) are not possible and the
processing required for even the low bitrate wma stream hangs other
functions (ir remote, web gui, etc). Hope the SB1 has not reached its
limits. :(

pippin,

Have you had a chance to look at the Napster service in iPeng native
app. I can negotiate through the menus ok but don't get an option to
play the track itself? Menu option is there in iPeng skin?

Thanks again for a great app!!

The addition of "-x" solved the audio problems for me on the SB1;
Thanks for the assistance.

Unfortunately, the wma decoding on the SB1 is so 'resource-intensive'
that the unit is almost unresponsive to the IR remote when playing a
wma stream. If I switch to aap stream, everything returns to 'normal'
speed.

The revisions you made work for me with Squeezeplay on my WinXP PC but
the same wma stations on my SB1 connect, buffer (up to 60-70% indicated
on screen), and then the audio output is static with occasional garbled
sound.

As one of the other users seeing this on Ubuntu and 7.3.3

http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=58217

I was able to direct the wma conversion to aacpmplayer.sh (from the
AAC+ plugin) and streams worked but with considerable startup delay.
Hope that helps with the de-bugging.

Bumping this up as I am seeing same issue as original poster with recent
upgrade to SC Version: 7.3.3 - 25067 on Ubuntu. Using Alien BBC

Thanks Greg! I'm seeing tonight's NHL schedule; no NBA games scheduled

Can you look at the NCAA Basketball parsing when you get a chance? I'm

Greg -

Have the beta version installed and working on WinXP and latest 7.3.
One-click to music playing, Direct URL and favorites all working!

As noted in another post, no song titles are in the player
(Squeezeplay) or 'now playing frame' just the url (e.g.,
siriusradio://60/The Highway).

The artist - title is in the web UI left frame? Also noted that the
title source option remains in the settings page but your description
says the info. is direct from the Sirius stream?

Thanks for your continued work on this!!

In addition to the non-premium stream function, Greg's plugin has some
web UI features not found in the SN service. 'Auto-Refresh View'
updates the now-playing titles for your preset stations at 10 sec
intervals in the left frame of the interface. Very nice for the channel
surfers.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] 7.3 and XM radio

2008-12-15 Thread atlslim

I can tune to the channels but no audio output in 7.3. This error
message is in the log but not sure if it accounts for the silence:

Slim::Control::Request::execute (1889) Error: While trying to run
function coderef [Slim::Control::Commands::playlistJumpCommand]: [Can't
locate object method "isRemote" via package
"Plugins::XMRadio::ProtocolHandler" at

Any debugging help is appreciated!

Yes the '>' symbol is in front. Guess a server update is in order ;-)

Hello Pippin,

Not sure if this has been noted but when I browse to Internet Radio >

begins to play and the other stations are added to the playlist.

I was expecting another menu/list to choose individual stations from?

Thanks Greg - for several reasons I prefer your plugin - including that
your version works w/ Softsqueeze and I really like the presets
auto-refresh view

FYI - I also tried siriusradio://# and that pulls up the icon in the
now playing window of the web ui but no stream :(

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Sirius Radio Plugin (GoCubs version) and Favorites

2008-12-05 Thread atlslim

Using Greg's Sirius plugin (latest version) and SC 7.1.

When I save a playing stream as a favorite (very long mms string) and
then attempt to play later from the Favorites menu - nothing happens
and the log shows the following:

Slim::Utils::Misc::pathFromFileURL (449) Warning: Path isn't a file
URL: mms://a1803.l2280062940.c22800.g.lm.akamaistream.net/D/18.

Not having any luck with direct URL entry for channels either. Is this
format working for anyone else: sirius://channel#

Thanks

Erland,

I see something similar for internet streams that don't apparently
contain interpretable album - artist info? You can possibly duplicate
with a RadioIO stream?

Very nice integration with MusicInfoSCR. I'm switching all sorts of info
here. ;-)

I would like to display Album: as Philip suggested.

Also, I had to change the install.xml min version to 7.0+ to make the
plugin compatible with SC7.1. Seems to be working as advertised.

Thanks again!!

This is an XM problem as the garbled sound is also in the web-based
online player (outside of SC). The same channel sounds fine via Sirius
on line.

And now that the same channels are available from both XM and Sirius
(as of 11/12) - the Sirius 128kbps streams are noticeably better even
with my little computer speakers. Will XM upgrade their 64kbps??

Understanding that iPeng is a plugin and not a 'skin' but the home

Currently the only way to access XM stations is via the Tune in URL
feature:

For example, the entry xmradio://54 will tune to Channel 54.

No song titles but saving your presets into favorites will let you
listen!

What happened today was that 6 'Best of Sirius' streams were added to
the XM Online service. XM subscribers can now get these channels for an
extra $4/mo. :(

It would seem this change broke the XM plugin somehow?! So much for the
perfect world (at least for XM listeners).

Yes; the progress bar is there and fills to about the 'http://' mark,
then stops until the page ultimately loads. I'll try the new files
later to see if that speeds things up.

One question - is there a way to make a page 'auto-refresh'? I would
like to see my 'presets' update automagically. :)

pippin - excellent work on the 'XM Skin' for iPeng!

Everything works for me but I did notice a delay of approx. 60 seconds
when I select 'XM Radio Online' from the 'Internet Radio' menu. Once in
the XM menus, selections are prompt but I do get the same delay when
going back to the main XM page on occasion?

Thanks again!

pippin,

Many thanks for the XM-skin for iPeng! I've tested a little and
everything seems to work but there is a noticeable delay (approx. 60
seconds) when navigating to the 'home' window for XM Radio Online. This
occurs after selecting "XM Radio" in the main Internet Radio menu or
returning from one of the browse menus within.

Let me know if you need additional info.

Thanks again!!

You need to be subscribed to XM Radio Online service for the plugin to
work.

There is a free trial available here:
http://xmro.xmradio.com/xstream/api/show_trial_form.jsp

Not sure if that is a 'crippled' version

The 7.0 plugin is available in this thread:
