I read somewhere that all Erlands old(but very good) plugins, needs an
update to run on 7.8.0 . It was a quite simple change, but Erland is not
maintaining anymore.
It took me 10 years to rate all my tracks, so I will be sad to loose
these plugings. I stay on 7.9.2 so far...

Sad to hear. Many of Erlands fantastic Plugings, and these are my main
reason to stay on LMS:

DatabaseQuery
DynamicPlayList
SQLPlayList
TrackStat
TrackStatPlaylist

PlaylistGenerator(Havent worked since 7.9)

Erland does not maintain his plugins anymore. I hope that someone else
can do the minor change that Paul suggests.

Hi Michael

A feature wish for lastmix. Would it be possible to let "Don't stop the
music/lastmix" add songs from example the last 4 tracks.

Doing this you you could make a recepe like in the old "Don't stop the
music" plugin ??

I mean that you could add for example a track with "Sweet, Keb' Mo',
Tove Lo, Kim Larsen(Dansih Artist), and the get a mix of all 4 music
styles. ??

It would be a very nice feature. :)

Try to write the code line in notepad++ . NOT copy paste. As I

I don't think there is a library. The custom-convert.conf file is only
meant to contain changes from convert.conf file.

I don't know Max2Play so maybe it is related to this, since it don't

You have changed the name to custom-convert.conf ??? Is the convert.conf
in the same folder ?? I don't if Max2Play works different... It works on
both LMS on Netgear ReadyNas and Picoreplayer. Regarding the stream to
your Transporter. I have two Transporters and there
is no change in sound quality using SOX. Just better as there is no
stuttering anymore

As you are on a Linux OS, I will recommend using notepad++ and use these
settings, as recommended from Paul. I had some strange issues because I
used notepad in windows to create the file.

Here what Paul wrote to me:

"Try editing with Notepad++ (download it) not notepad.
Then check the setting for Line Endings for the file and set it to Unix
(not Windows) and the format to be ANSI/ASCII not Utf-8 and not with a
BOM (will be clear from the menus)."

Then place the file in the folder. That should work.

First you can try to see if changing sound settings to "Stream through
Proxy" does the trick. If not you can create the custom-convert file as
described. It shall be placed here :

I had that issue too. I am using Tidal with LMS. It seems like some
tracks after about March 2019 is getting compressed at to high level.
Many squeezebox devices don't like that, and make stuttering sound. I
fixed this using SOX to transcode.
Make a custom-convert.conf file containing this:

flc flc * *
    [sox] -q -t flac $FILE$ -t flac -

That solved the problem for me.

I will suggest that you use The "Don't stop the music" plugin to do
this. It creates much better mixes than Tidals similar artists does. Try

I installed LMS 7.9.1 on my windows machine. And I must say. Sound is
great. Thumps up for Radio Paradise for taking sound quality seriously.

I even tried to reinstall IO::Socket on my NAS, if something mayby went

I have no installed the last version of the firmware to my ReadyNas

I don't think Erland is maintaining his plugins anymore. If you are
running 7.9 there are serval issues with both playlistgenerator, sql

Almost all other music apps shows the Performing Artist(Album Artist) in
the now playing screen. It is ok(and fine...) to show the composer, but
it should be i a seperate line or in a parenthesis under the song
title.
It is annoying to look on the screen "Who is playing now" and then there
is a list of sometimes 4 to 5 names...

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread

How do I get rid of the odd behavior of iPeng showing both album artist
and composers ?? It is on the "now playing" screen.
Both Squeezepad, and Contoller and Transporter display shows the correct
album artist.
It must be a "iPeng thing" and it should not be the default setting ???

It is not all tracks that shows up like this ??? Some shows the album
artist corretly, which is what I want

Is there something in iPeng that can be changed ??

There seems to be problems with Erlands SQL playlist plugin in 7.9 . I
can create new playlists in SQL playlist plugin, but if I use the option
to "ignore songs played last XX days" then it fails with a Database

If I do not use this option then it works fine.

Michael Herger is working on the DSTM(DON'T STOP THE MUSIC) plugin. It
is still in the developing phase, but I am sure that it will be very
nice too.

It is gone now in the menu and settings by unchecking it. But DSTM does
not work at all any more. I have issues with Erlands plugins too.
Playlist manager does not work, and there is issues with
dynamic playlists and sql playlists too. So I think this version of 7.9
is quite buggy.

Forget this question. I can see that the plugin has bin checked again
after the last upgrade of 7.9 . I had it unchecked before the upgrade ?
I will uncheck again and see what happens.

It is onw of Erlands plugins. It has worked without problems until

Has Erland stopped maintaining his plugins ?

Just tried to reproduce the error. No luck.
But the error was when starting all my LOCAL Codplay tracks from the
musicfolder
musicfolder>c>coldplay>play

I am not using Ickstream so it must be the plugin making "noise" in the
log.
It is a receiver having the error. Ipad only used as controller.

Now I started a small playlist from music folder. 70 tracks (all my
Coldplay tracks). Then I switch to the "now playing" screen. And the the
volume control does not Work at all.
There must be a bug somewhere Volume control Works fine on
gui,spqueezepad and controller.

The workarround is to use Squeezepad with the large playlists....

It is with paylists +500 I see this problem.
I do use dynamic playlists as well, but I like to mix my playlsits with
Tidal too. I have a quite big library myself 23000+ tracks but much of
the new music I listen to is from Tidal. By creating a playlist with
playlistmanager from my own tracks(incl rating) and adding Tidal
Playlists then I get a very good mix of new and "old" music. Thats why I
do this I do use smartmix too which also is fine.

I have now upgraded to the newest LMS 7.9 too. It seems like the
browsing issues has gone :). But there is still problems with the "now
playing" screen. Artwork stops updating but it is showing the correct
track. What is worse is that, when this happens you can not use the
volumecontrol either. It has no effect when you turn sound up and Down.
I think the problem is limited to large and/or mixed playlists.
As said before. There is no problems when using Squeezepad, controller
or web gui, so this is not a LMS or performance problem. Maybe
performance for iPeng on the iPad. But it is a iPad 3
and it should be able to do the job, when running nothing else than
iPeng.

I really hope this problem can be fixed.

The Controller and Squeezepad has no problems in handling +1000 tracks
playlists so performance is fine.

The typical use is to add some playlists to the queue. I use both my own
playlists created with playlist generator, and som playlists from
Tidal(former Wimp).
Sounds like I have to do an update of my LMS version and see if this
solves the problem.

I will try to update LMS.
It happens when a ipeng is doing nothing else than showing "now playing"
screen.
Clear cache has been tried too.
Is there a great difference in how iPeng handles artwork compared to
Squeezepad ?? Since Squeezepad do not have these problems ?

It is serval months since I did an update of LMS. It is running on a
Netgear ReadyNas Ultra II Nas.
The problem with "freezing" updating covers happens without iPad doing
nothing else than running iPeng.
Have done many clear and rescan.

As I said before. I have not seen this problem on my controller or when
running Squeezepad.

I have serval issues with iPeng. Both when I browse "artists>all albums"
or just a album folder. In fact I think it can happen with all kind of
browsing.
I just get a "spinning wheel" and nothing happens. This is a new issue
with ipeng 9.

The other problem is that iPeng freezes and stops updating when the
current song ends. Restart ipeng and it works for a while and the
freezes again.
I had this problem with the latest iPeng 8 versions too.

Server version: LMS 7.9.0
IOS 9.1
iPeng 9.0.2

I did in fact have "preserve connection" turned on. I switched it off
but that did not change anything. Just browsing an album folder
The Wheel keeps spinning and nothing happens. Browse the same
albumfolder with Squeeze pad. Instant reply.

There is a lot of errors in the serverlog, but not for the player where
the problem is. The player that just had the problem is called
"SB-ALRUM". I am getting a lot of Ickstream errors in the log. But I am
not using Ickstream for Tidal. I am using the official plugin(former
Wimp).
But the error is also there when browsing local folders

I have the same experience. And some times it just freezes and don't
update cover when next song starts.
I don't see this om my controller or with squeezepad. So it must be a
ipeng issue.

Hi!

I know this has been up before but after being on Holliday and using my
LMS remotely using iPeng to a UE Boom. There I really missed replay
