Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iTunes Update Plugin: Should skip count work?
Thank you for your answer! I downloaded the latest version of the plugin but could not find the perl import script included in the zip-file. I therefore googled and found it somewhere else. I am wondering if perhaps I have an old version. Although I don't know anything about perl, the version I have don't seem to have any code for handling skipped files. When running the script it just says no update required. Is it possible for you to e-mail me the latest version, or direct me to the correct download location? That's where I downloaded from, but the script for importing into iTunes is not included in the latest zip-file for download... I had to download version v1.0.2 to find the perl script. [SlimDevices: Plugins] iTunes Update Plugin: Should skip count work?
Hello there! My question is in the title of the post really... I wonder if skip count should work when importing the history file from iTunes Update plugin into iTunes 9? I see on http://www.jamescraig.co.uk/SlimServer/index.html that it says this only works for iTunes 7, but some of the info on the page seems a bit out of date so it would be very nice if someone could clarify if this feature only works on iTunes 7, meaning it does not work on later versions of iTunes. erland;439556 Wrote: Yes TrackStat statistics is destroyed, Squeezebox Server statistics is supposed to survive but it didn't in my setup. If you like to keep TrackStat statistics you should take a TrackStat backup in 7.3.3 or in the MySQL version of 7.4 before you upgrade. Make sure to store this TrackStat backup file in a safe place, because you might need it again when the final version of TrackStat supporting 7.4 is released. I have now installed the 7.4 - r27438 version of Squeezecenter. It did a lengthy rescan and all my music reappeared. I then installed the Trackstat beta plugin and after restarting SC it did an even longer rescan. And to my great surprise (and joy of course) all the statistics from TrackStat's previous installation was there :-). I would love to help you test the plugins, but I have a few questions I hope you could answer. I quess I should first update Squeezecenter and then install your beta plugin(s)? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Playlist Generator, easy way to generate initial static playlists
This is going to be VERY useful for me at least, I was actually thinking about something like this yesterday :-) My scenario is that I have a Denon 3808 receiver in my home theater room. That receiver has UPNP support and therefore I have installed TVersity on my Windows Home Server together with Squeezecenter. Some day I will of course buy a Squeezebox for my home theater, but for the time beeing I must settle with the UPNP/TVersity thing which of course is much more limited in terms of playlist/tag support. (Although I must say that TVersity is much more flexible than the built-in UPNP server on Windows Home Server, which to mee almost seems like a joke and not usable for anyone who are serious about their digital media.) So I was thinking about how I could make a playlist that would be imported into TVersity and accessed from the 3808 for things like newly added songs, favorite songs etc. And along comes your new plugin, and even with the posibilty to generate the playlists once a day trough custom scan. So now I have Near-Dynamic Playlists for TVersity/3808/UPNP scenario, and that just days after I started to think about how nice it would be to have something like that! Thanks a lot :-) PS Off course all this happiness may go away after I tried the plugin if I misunderstood what it could do or if TVersity won't import the playlists or something else... I'll post back in a couple of days when I've been able to try it out!
