Well, you're not alone. "Not connected to WiFi" has about an 80-90%
share among the iPeng problem reports

iPeng does NOT use port 9090 (as opposed to these other apps), so I
THINK you should be safe as long as this interference doesn't mean SC
shuts down CLI and cometd support altogether.
So it might me worth a try.

I found out that my version of SSODS uses the same port (9090) as the
CLI.
The latest version of SSODS uses port 9099.
So I will try to upgrade SSODS to get the problem solved.

I use my IPENG on a ReadyNAS Duo running SC 7.2.1 and it works
perfectly. So in general, use with a NAS is not an issue. I wouldn't
expect it to be. the NAS is just a computer without a keyboard or
screen. As long as SC is running I don't know why IPeng would care what
it was running on

No. I've got at least one beta tester who's happily using iPeng on a
Synology.
So you entered the same address that works in iPhone's Safari into
iPeng and the address now shows up in the list of additional servers on
Settings?
What do you see when you swipe right on NowPlaying?
What do you get when you select Artists or New Music on the main menu?

What kind of NAS server?
Are you sure it uses port 9000? Some NAS servers have upnp players that
take up that port in which case you will have to enter
Http://192.168.1.103:
Like for the web skin.
Is the CLI enabled in SC (settings, advanced)

If you are using port 9000, try to enter just the ip or URL:
Server.local
Instead of
Http://server.local:9000

You are sure a player is connected to the server, aren't you?

Hi

I have the same problem.
IPeng ver 1.0
Squeezecenter ver. 7.0

"No player connected."
I've tried to add the server manually without luck.
I have a NAS server and can connect to the Squeezecenter from the

I have tryed to add the server manually with the same URL as the Sarari
browser connection but without luck.

What are the name of the URL you have typed in, in the add server field
?

You don't need any plugins to run the iPeng application on the iPhone.
Having said that, it won't stop the application from working.

You need to make sure the phone has a connection to your wireless
network and has got a valid IP address. Tap Settings, Wi-Fi. You should
see your wireless network's name listed with a tick next to it. Tap the
Right-Arrow icon to the right of this and look at the IP address. Going
by what you posted it should look something like 10.0.1.xxx

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] IPENG Problems

Hi there. Thanks for the quick reply. Here are some answers to your
questions:

I can access and control the Squeezebox via softqueeze or
squeezecenter. I can control the Squeezebox witht the slim device
remote as well.

IPENG doesn't find the server even if I enter it manually within IPENG
settings.

Regarding the subnet for Iphone, I'm sorry but I can't seem to find the
settings to find this info.

Thanks,
Nick

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] IPENG Problems

2008-11-27 Thread pippin

So the Squeezebox plyer is connected to the mac?
Are you sure it is not connected to SqueezeNetwork?
What happens when you open up the SqueezeCenter Web interface (through
:9000)?
Did iPeng find the server? You know that when you can actually browse
the library (you don't need a player for that).
Is the server (your mac) on the same subnet as your iPhone? If not,
iPeng cannot automatically detect the server and you have to enter the
server's address manually (through settings).

We'll get this sorted out!

[SlimDevices: Plugins] IPENG Problems

2008-11-27 Thread Sunra55

Hi. I'm hoping someone can help me with IPENG. I was really excited
when I first read about it but I've spent hours trying to make it work
to no avail.

No matter what I do it says: "No player connected."

I've tried to add the server manually and it doesn't recognize the
player. I've flushed the cache but it did no good. I also downloaded
two different version of IPENG and made sure it was extracted to the
proper Plugin directory on my Mac. The SqueezeBox player is working on
my stereo and on my mac. I feel like I just wasted dough on this
app...not very happy. Anyway, anyone that might lend a hand please let
me know.

Thanks,
Nick

Info: Mac OSX 10.5.5,
Squeeze Center 7.0,
Ipeng 1.0 on Iphone,

SqueezeBox Player Name: 192.168.2.5

The IP address for this player is: 10.0.1.196:50521

The ethernet MAC address for this player is: 00:04:20:07:79:eb
