Please open a separate thread for your own special application to continue this conversation as I cannot remember off hand what it is about. Old version of the BBCiplayer plugin will disappear - so I cannot guarantee support for old version. V2.1.0 of the BBCIplayer plugin is the latest. Use this URL. http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/bpaplugins/betarelease-repo.xml Changes to RTMP between version cannot be guaranteed but since the RTMP code is not being maintained I doubt if the problem is with the BBCiPlayer. Have you compared the URLs of your station to see if they have changed ? There is nothing in blog to indicate any change in feed operation or functionality so it looks like a problem with the feed. As I said before, I believe the implementation of this feed was outsourced when it was implemented maybe 5-6 years ago. Lets hope there is a maintenance contract but it is unlikely original developers are around, so some poor person is having to go into old code and figure what has happened (i.e. what was broken by BBC over the weekend - BBC likes doing new code at weekends) and then fix it. A couple of days at least. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103312 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

As a general point - this is not the thread to report issues with versions 1.5.* of the BBCiplayer plugin. That said, the problem is the BBC feed noththe plugin - while BBC is still supplying the On-Demand feeds for all station - the content of feeds has not been updated since about 3am 24-Nov 17. This is likely to be a problem in BBC system which IIRC is maintained by 3rd parties. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103312 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Sorry, I don't spend time on flash as it is dead end and a big pain as there are often security measures and other weirdness. All I did was copy an example use of ffplay. To use vlc etc. find an example - but how a player is built, and the uderlying OS etc can all effect its ability. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103312 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBCiPlayer plugin - a guick fix guide
I found the problem - the BBCiPlayer RTMP implementation didn't support the "pageUrl" parameter which is required by your station but not BBC. Try the following. 1. Install the latest version of BBCiPlayer using the following repo: HTTP://DOWNLOADS.SOURCEFORGE.NET/PROJECT/BPAPLUGINS/V154TESTRELEASE-REPO.XML 2. Replace the RTMP.pm file by the attached RTMP.pm file which has a mod to support "pageUrl" 3. Stop and Restart LMS 4. Add the following as a favorite (single URL) RTMP://LIVERADIO.ONLINEHORIZONS.NET:1935?STREAMNAME=BGL2ZXN0CMVHBQ==&APP=RWXCZXJUYW1LZ0VST3JVYMK=&LIVE=MQ==&SWFURL=AHR0CDOVL2XYLM9UBGLUZWHVCML6B25ZLM5LDC9WBGF5ZXIUC3DM&TCURL=CNRTCDOVL2XPDMVSYWRPBY5VBMXPBMVOB3JPEM9UCY5UZXQVRWXCZXJUYW1LZ0VST3JVYMK=&PAGEURL=AHR0CDOVL2XYLM9UBGLUZWHVCML6B25ZLM5LDC9FBEJLCM5HBWVNRWXPCM9IAS5ODG1S&.MP3 5.Try playing the new Favorite. This mod works OK on a Linux system but I know there are "issues" with BBCiPlayer on some Windows systems so there may be a long delay before audio starts. This mod will not work with a player which has the BBCiPlayer App installed (i.e. players with native "rtmp"). I think this mod should work with the http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/bpaplugins/betarelease-repo.xml repo but I have not tested it. +---+ |Filename: RTMP.pm | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=23874| +---+ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103312 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

OK - I found ar post on another forum by a GeorgeC who used. To play the stream you can use ffplay (part of ffmpeg installation). Code: ffplay -rtmp_app ElBernamegElOrobi -rtmp_playpath livestream -rtmp_live live -rtmp_swfverify http://lr.onlinehorizons.net/player.swf -rtmp_swfurl http://lr.onlinehorizons.net/player.swf -rtmp_pageurl http://lr.onlinehorizons.net/ElBernamegElOrobi.html -rtmp_tcurl rtmp://liveRadio.onlinehorizons.net/ElBernamegElOrobi -i rtmp://liveRadio.onlinehorizons.net:1935/ElBernamegElOrobi Save to a "normal" MP3 file (called out.mp3) or could be transcoded into other format or streamed using stdout into say LMS. Code: ffmpeg -rtmp_app ElBernamegElOrobi -rtmp_live live -rtmp_playpath livestream -rtmp_swfverify http://lr.onlinehorizons.net/player.swf -rtmp_swfurl http://lr.onlinehorizons.net/player.swf -rtmp_pageurl http://lr.onlinehorizons.net/ElBernamegElOrobi.html -i rtmp://liveRadio.onlinehorizons.net/ElBernamegElOrobi -f mp3 out.mp3 2 . I've tried to use same params with BBCiPlayer (which uses base64 encoding of the various params so it can be internally passed transparently) but connection request is being rejected - not sure why ? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBCiPlayer plugin - a guick fix guide
I have not been to this site for quite some time and I am rusty about some of the new developments. When I last visited it was to fiond a fix when BBC Iplayer stopped working due to the feed being stopped. I thought I had everything working again but now the Listen Again has stopped working. Let me give some background to my current situation. I am outside of the UK but can get live feeds using the "outside UK" setting. I can also get the full bit rate feeds using a VPN. I cannot get "Listen Again" to work using the VPN or without it. I have BBCIplayer (V1.3.1alpha 3 I installed http://triodepluigins.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/testrepo.xml some time back and today I noticed that in the repository it has been changed to http://triodepluigins.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/repo.xml. I therefore tried to change ot by taking out the "test" and pressing apply. That does not seem to have cured anything even after rebooting. If that is not the correct way to update this setting I would be grateful if someone could advise as to how I should do it? If anyone has other ideas as to what I could try? I would also be grateful. It is > not very 'elaborated' due to my level in Perl, but it works. Triode's HLS handler is all in Perl as well, and works pretty well. It opens a new HTTP connection for every fragment - and the fragments do ending up jumping around multiple servers. Doing it this way does appear put a bit of strain on the DNS system - and some problems have been noticed by a few people. I think the apple and android HLS implementations use a small number (3 I've heard mentioned) of semi-persistent HTTP connections which are maintained for several fragment fetches, which may be better. Maintaining a single connection indefinitely for the whole stream (like I'm assuming you do) has different issues - I think someone said that minimserver does this and it has some problems. As there are a few other sources of HLS streaming coming out of the woodwork, it would make sense to have a common protocol handler for all of these. As bpa says, the BBC has now started streaming in DASH, and that looks likely to be preferred format before long. I had already had a dabble in C for my own HLS and then DASH decoders before Triode briefly came out of retirement with his Perl HLS version, and I haven't bothered looking any further. Now that the BBC are actually putting out DASH streams alongside the HLS streams, I like to have a go at a DASH handler using Triodes HLS perl as a starting point, when I get time, unless someone else gets there first... utgg's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=40900 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103312 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I'm assuming it will all break at any time, and am recording all BBC radio I know I want in advance on my Freeview PVR. I'm still using my Squeezebox and the iPlayer plugin for Listen Again because it's more convenient. But the way things are going I am hedging my bets. With Triode now absent from the forums for 9 months I think we should assume he's not coming back. Even the alpha iPlayer plugins that silently appeared were many months ago.
