p t 10 and a a x plugins

2015-02-09 Thread Steve Sparrow
Hi. i am thinking about using protools 10.39 fro some of my recording for a
while. Reason being this system really needs more ram. i only have 4 gig in
this thing. the machine tseems to run better in protools 10. only thing is the
plugins seem a bit inaccessible. I think this was mentioned in the mat and rob
tutorial. is there as issue with 10.39 and a a x,is there a way of using my
plugins in 10.39 or is there something i can do to make them accessible.

If this is not possible, i’ll put up with a few pops and clicks until i get a
new mac.

the only setting where it sounds reasonable.e for tracking. I do have a

Hi, I just took my mac book pro late model 2011 and got it upgraded to 16 GB
the maximum amount of ram so yes get the system upgraded to the maximum even
if you have to spend a little more as I don't really need that much ram but I
feel that this ram will get it's uses. Nick Gawronski

Hi. yes i can raise the buffer size, but when i rais it up to the next
setting, 128 samples, i am getting annoying delay, si 64 samples seems to be
the only setting where it sounds reasonable.e for tracking. I do have a
couple of plugins, compressor and a reverb unit set up swell, so i know
this adds to the load. is there anything else i can do to minimise clicks
and pops. Really i think the answer would more than likely be more ram.

If you are having pops and clicks in your audio raise the sample size of
your buffer. So long as you aren’t trying to monitor through effects this
shouldn’t affect anything. There was also a way to trash AAX plug ins so
that it would force PT 10 to fall back to RTAS versions which were
accessible. but there is a caviot regarding that, which I am blanking on at
the moment, maybe someone else can weigh in there.

Hi. i am thinking about using protools 10.39 fro some of my recording for
a while. Reason being this system really needs more ram. i only have 4 gig

is the plugins seem a bit inaccessible. I think this was mentioned in the
mat and rob tutorial. is there as issue with 10.39 and a a x,is there a
way of using my plugins in 10.39 or is there something i can do to make
 them accessible.

If this is not possible, i’ll put up with a few pops and clicks until i
 get a new mac.

2015-02-09 Thread Nick Gawronski
Hi, I would suggest you take it into an Apple store or give them a call
as I was able to take mine in and get it upgraded with no major issues
they just did the installation and made sure it showed up. Nick Gawronski
