Re: Latest Avid downloads for Pro Tools Ultimate

2018-12-20 Thread Victor Tsaran
Slightly unrelated but related...
I am able to download app updates, however, having difficulties with plugin
updates.
For example, clicking on either the "download" or "more information"
element next to each plugin, does not do anything.
I understand XPand!2 is available free of charge to Protools users,
however, to the best of my ability, I am just not able to either download
it or read more information about it using Avid's download manager.
Anyone else tried this procedure?

Thanks.
Vic

Well, after logging in, navigate to the category like, for example, Plug-ins
and click once with VoiceOver. Navigate to the various plug-ins that reflect
that there's an update available and click on the word "update." Normally, the
word "update" will change to "downloading" and then "install." Click on the
word "install" and the installer will be launched in the background. If the
application manager doesn't respond, you might need to press Page down and
repeat the process of clicking on the word "update." Rinse and repeat. It does
work, albeit clumsily, as mentioned.

Hmm… not exactly sure what you mean by "safe." Many studios stay on prior
operating systems for a long time. If you're only using your personal laptop
for Pro Tools rather than a dedicated machine, I can certainly see the slight
dilemma but, frankly, it's a non-issue for most people. Whatever the case,
yeah, it's just the lay of the land with Pro Tools and you either live with it
or don't.

Hi Tom,

I'm not sure precisely which demo you're referring to and varius demos were
made at various times where certain features either were or weren't available
within Pro Tools so I'm not sure exactly how to answer your question. Since you
mentioned Control Command Enter, I take it you're already using Flo Tools and
possibly referring to the Flo Tools demo on MIDI editing. If you can confirm
that, I'll look into it and see what issue you might be running into.

I realize that I’m still in the first column.

What can be the problem?

Re: midi event list problem

2018-12-20 Thread Slau Halatyn
Ah, but it just occurred to me that you don't need to use Control, just use the
arrow keys while making sure the track is in Note View. That's one of the
things where Flo Tools was one step ahead of Avid in implementing such a simple
method. Avid's workflow directly supports the arrow key navigation so no need
to rely on the Flo Tools command, although you can have Flo Tools report a
bunch of different info while navigating each note.

RE: midi event list problem

2018-12-20 Thread Tom Hessels
Hi Slau,

It is your flotools 2.2 demo and your demo about midi starts about 18 minutes.

In the second part whre you stopped working with the midi event list en
starting using tabkay and control-arrow keys to navigate the tabkey don’t
trigger anny note (no sound).

I’m using pro tools 2018-7, the latest flotools version, keyboard maestro 8.2.4

And macos 10.12.6 Sierra dutch version.

What I can try is to change macos to English version.

But I can’t imagine that that is the problem but you never know.

If there are other dutch pro tools users on this list please let me know if you
have this kind of problems.

Tom.
