Hi Poppa, Do your self a favor and get the Apple keyboard with num pad. Full size around $49.00 or so from the apple store. I'm just so quick in Sonar that it takes me a quarter of the time to work in it as it does in Pro Tools. Do you have to have the full keyboard from Apple with numeric key pad? I ask because i have the smallish bluetooth keyboard that came with the Imac originally. /Krister 24 jan 2013 kl. 13:37 skrev CHUCK REICHEL soundpicturerecord...@gmail.com: Hi Poppa, Do your self a favor and get the Apple keyboard with num pad. I've not yet used Pro Tools, but the one thing that everyone I've asked about it has said is that you definitely want a numeric keypad, unless you want to use a program to remap keys. I like the full Apple keyboards anyway, as I like using Numpad Commander with VoiceOver. It goes without saying though that you can't use Numpad Commander if you want to use the numpad in Pro Tools. Hi Krister, Get the Apple Pro Keyboard, the one Chuck mentioned, with the numpad for $49. It'll be indispensable. Re: PC keyboard with Pro Tools
Hi Geoff, Once you get into the work flow in PT you get in to the habit of toggling num pad off and on when needed. :) I jump back in forth dozens of times in a session. To clarify a bit hit VO Clear on the num pad then do your VoiceOver task, then toggle back and perform your PT task with the num pad. Re: PC keyboard with Pro Tools
I use the Magic Track Pad but only occasionally. It helps when trying to quickly navigate larger sessions with higher track counts. I know Mike Lockett is a proponent of the track pad. It takes a little getting used to but it's apparently useful, given the time to incorporate it into one's workflow. slau On Jan 24, 2013, at 11:13 AM, Poppa Bear wrote: Chuck and Slau, are you guys using the majic track pad?
