[Qgis-developer] QGIS 2.4 and 2.5: default transparency for select not honored?
Hi, I found a problem with QGIS 2.4 and 2.5 yesterday build. When you set the defeult the color for selections and you set the alpha channel (i.e. to 25%), at next QGIS startup only the color (without the alpha channel) is taken, until you modify the alpha channel from the project options window. To reproduce it: 1. open qgis with empty project 2. set the select color with transparency 3. close qgis 4. reopen qgis 5. load some layers 6. select one geometry: you'll see that the transparency value is totally ignored 7. set the transparency from the options 8. now the selection is transparent happens on both 2.4 and 2.5 ___ Qgis-developer mailing list Qgis-developer@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-developer

[Qgis-developer] Processing causes major slowness at QGIS startup
Hi, in our organization with over 1,000 windows machines, we install QGIS on a windows samba share so it can be launched via a desktop shortcut. We discovered that the processing python plugin is the slowest plugin to load. The QGIS base install contains 5 python plugins (fTools, metaSearch, gdalTools, db_manager and processing) and we calculated on a windows 7 pc these times: QGIS with processing plugin time from "loading python plugins" to GUI screen -> 31 seconds (to load all 5 plugins) QGIS without processing plugin time from "loading python plugins" to GUI screen -> 15 seconds (over 50% gain) Investigating the processing plugin, it seems that it loads all the configs in the init() code, not in the initGUI() as should be correctly. Note that this slowness will be visible for everyone that has this plugin DISABLED in the plugin list, because the initialization code is in init(), so this slowness is involving all. ___ Qgis-developer mailing list Qgis-developer@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-developer

[Qgis-developer] QgsMapCanvas.freeze and QgsInterface.AddRasterLayer
Hi, I noticed that if I do: 1. QgsMapCanvas.freeze ( True ) - to stop drawing the mapcanvas 2. call QgsInterface.AddRasterLayer() two times to add two distinct WMS layers 3. QgsMapCanvas.freeze ( False ) - to enable drawing the mapcanvas 4. QgsMapCanvas.refresh - to redraw the map I noticed that AddRasterLayer completely ignores the freeze state of QgsMapCanvas forcing it to draw the map on each call of AddRasterLayer. Is there any way to avoid it? ___ Qgis-developer mailing list Qgis-developer@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-developer

[Qgis-developer] QT 5.2 is out
Hi, as some of you have noticed, QT 5.2 is out. From release notes [1]: "I am proud to say that Qt 5.2 fully brings Qt into the mobile space as a true player in the app development market supporting Android, iOS, BlackBerry, Sailfish/Jolla and Ubuntu Mobile." Now it could be easier to port QGis to these platforms. I remember that QT, from 5.0, uses OpenGL backend and it could render maps faster than before. [Qgis-developer] Customizing Qgis Web Client Toolbar
Hi, I've made a pull request to Qgis Web Client code: https://github.com/qgis/QGIS-Web-Client/pull/54 With this pull we can customize QWC toolbar by adding custom buttons. There is an example with a test button to get map coordinates. It will be easier to get updates from QWC repository, since we leave Webgisinit.js and GUI.js untouched. ___ Qgis-developer mailing list Qgis-developer@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-developer
[Qgis-developer] QgsHtmlAnnotation: cannot set html source directly?

So I must create a file to pass to the QgsHtmlAnnotation, but it would be nice to have setHTMLSourceCode ( ... ) to pass a html string directly. ___ Qgis-developer mailing list Qgis-developer@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-developer

[Qgis-developer] Adding a WMS layer in QGIS 2.0 (python)
Hi, the QgsRasterLayer costructor has changed. If I try this: rlayer = QgsRasterLayer(' http://testsrv/mapaccel?map=ciao.map&crs=EPSG:25832&format=image/png', 'test', 'wms') QgsMapLayerRegistry.instance().addMapLayer(rlayer) self.iface.mapCanvas().refresh() the wms raster layer is never added to map.
