Can you elaborate on your workflow? That option is still there in QGIS

Re: [Qgis-user] PIN # LookUp Help?

2019-02-19 Per discussione Alexandre Neto
For QGIS 2.x you can use the quick finder plugin

https://plugins.qgis.org/plugins/quickfinder/

Which overlaps with qgis 3 locator bar functionality.

Hi,

Yes, this is related to user management and network monitoring.

This can be done on the server or router.

2 random links as an example:

Re: [QGIS-it-user] Qgis tracking con Gps cellulare via Bluetotth

2019-02-19 Per discussione Maurizio Marrese
in passato mi divertivo molto a fare queste prove...
come GPS bluetooth (ne troverai numerose)
e connettere (tramite cavo o bluetooth).

Io ci riuscii, poi nell'utilizzo pratico è molto scomodo perchè si
scaricano batterie etc.

Re: [Qgis-user] Tracking QGIS use of password protected QGIS project with geoserver WMS links

2019-02-19 Per discussione Andrea Aime
Hi Rolf,
if GeoServer is receiveing the user information then it should be loggable
on disk via the monitoring
plugin audit mode:
https://docs.geoserver.org/latest/en/user/extensions/monitoring/audit.html

If instead you have an application in the middle managing security, and not
telling GeoServer who's accessing it,
then the security application would be the place where to monitor.

Cheers
Andrea

[Qgis-user] Tracking QGIS use of password protected QGIS project with geoserver WMS links

2019-02-19 Per discussione Rolf Bruijn | Ruimteschepper
Hi all,

A long time QGIS user here, but new to the list. So a brief introduction I feel
is in order. My name is Rolf Bruijn. I'm from Amsterdam, the Netherlands and
working for a small geo-information consultancy firm also in the Netherlands. I
use QGIS on a daily basis mostly for map making and data analysis.

I'm reaching out to the QGIS community because I have a question. Efforts to
find an answer using typical online search platforms have been fruitless so
far. My questions boils down to this. Is there some sort of user activity
logging system or monitoring in QGIS? At work we share proprietary data using
password protected QGIS projects that connect via geoserver WMS links to a
secure server. My manager asked me to monitor who's accessing the server using
the password protected QGIS project. We hand out personalized QGIS certificates
to new employees. So I am confident that there is a way to track users via the
certificates.

I really hope the QGIS community can shed more light on my problem.
Many thanks in advance for your responses.

Cheers

[QGIS-it-user] Qgis tracking con Gps cellulare via Bluetotth

2019-02-19 Per discussione ugi
Buonasera a tutti,
Sbaglio sicuramente qualcosa, devo installare qualche applicazione android
sul cellulare ?
Qualcuno potrebbe aiutarmi?
grazie mille
saluti

Re: [Qgis-user] PIN # LookUp Help?

2019-02-19 Per discussione Randal Hale
I did a quick glance at their website - I assume you've downloaded the
data.

If you have the data downloaded and open in QGIS you can also use the
Select Features By Value Tool (its on the attributes toolbar and you can
also tap F3 on your keyboard) and enter the pin number in the
appropriate field and it should autocomplete. From there you can zoom,
flash, etc the parcel. I think someone also mentioned the "locate tool"
in the bottom left corner of QGIS.

As far as using metasearch - that depends on whether they've published a
catalog service - but having the data should work just fine.

Good Luck!

PIN to go directly to the parcel?

2) The County has stated that I should be able to use "Meta Search'
functionality in order to be able to see Tax Records information from
my Qgis map, similar to the same fashion that the County site works.
Would anyone now how I can link up the data somehow in order to do this?

grazie dell'indicazione, martina.
1) traduci rispettando l'originale (virgole, a capo, maiuscole...)
2) se non sai, lascia in bianco

Re: [Qgis-user] PIN # LookUp Help?

2019-02-19 Per discussione Philip Barlow
Hi Craig,

There are various ways to answer question 1 but probably the easiest is to use
locator, if you are using QGIS 3.x you’ll see a little search box in the bottom
left hand corner. Try entering you pin into that, if you don’t get any search
results you may have to enable some additional locator filters from
settings>options>locator.

Other ways including selecting with an expression or using a plugin like
“search layers”

In answer to your second question my guess would be that you use metasearch to
add the tax record data as WFS and then join the layers together based on the
id or do a spatial join? I don’t know the dataset so I can only speculate.

Hope that helps.

Hello,

This site, that is located/used by Will County Illinois:

If you type in a PIN in the search box, you can go directly to the parcel:

Once you get to the parcel, you can then Look up Tax records information, etc.

corso).
Grazie per il test,
Martina
