[qmailtoaster] qmail remote after DKIM install

2014-06-21 Thread Systems Desk GEG
After installing DKIM on a Cnetos 5 dedi with kloxo, qmail started to fail.
First I was getting Unable to run qmail-remote. After some attempts to
repair including installing qmailtoaster plus and running new model, I am
getting , 451 qq trouble creating files in queue (#4.3.0). When I try qmail
stat cannot find the file seems to be qmail files missing or corrupted.
Well...I am totally lost. Anyone had problems and found solutions after DKIM
install?

Best regards

I presume you followed the wiki instructions for DKIM?

Sounds to me like a permissions problem. I'd look for an owner or sticky
bit that's not set properly. Please post ls -l /var/qmail/bin.

SA is invoked by simscan. There should be a
QMAILQUEUE=/var/qmail/bin/simscan
setting in tcp.smtp file that causes simscan to be invoked.

Once simscan is being invoked, there is a
/var/qmail/control/simcontrol file which controls what it does. SA and
clamav can be enabled and disabled here.

If you're sending to yourself, qmail-remote shouldn't come into play.

Do these look ok?
[root@tacs-mail queue]# ls -l /var/qmail/queue

I'd try running queue_repair.py -r again. Stop qmail beforehand, and
start aftwards.

[qmailtoaster] Re: how to SA

2014-06-21 Thread Eric Shubert

Duplicate messages in mailbox can result from:
.) .qmail file in user's account that has 2 lines. This happens when the
user's name is changed in qmailadmin (it's a bug).
.) when scanning takes a long time, the sending smtp process (server or
mail app) can time out before qmail-smtp acknowledges receipt. This
happens most commonly with large emails submitted from Outlook that has
insufficient timeout (should be max value).

These are the conditions that come to mind for me regarding duplicates.
HTH.

Re: [qmailtoaster] Re: qmail remote after DKIM install

2014-06-21 Thread Systems Desk GEG

If you're sending to yourself, qmail-remote shouldn't come into
 play.

 Do these look ok?
 [root@tacs-mail queue]# ls -l /var/qmail/queue
 total 36
 drwx-- 2 qmails qmail 4096 Jun 20 19:23 bounce drwx-- 25
 qmails qmail 4096 Mar 24 11:18 info drwx-- 2 qmailq qmail 4096
 Jun 21 14:10 intd drwx-- 25 qmails qmail 4096 Mar 24 11:18

 drwx-- 25 qmails qmail 4096 Mar 24 11:18 remote drwxr-x--- 2
 qmailq qmail 4096 Jun 21 14:10 todo
 [root@tacs-mail queue]# ls -l /var/qmail/queue/lock total 4

 qmailr qmail 1024 Jun 10 05:07 tcpto
 prw--w--w- 1 qmails qmail0 Jun 21 14:10 trigger [root@tacs-mail
 queue]#

I'd try running queue_repair.py -r again. Stop qmail beforehand,
 and start aftwards.

When I said sending to myself I was meaning to my address in another server and
domain

When I run:

#ls -l /var/qmail/queue

I get:

drwx-- 2 qmails qmail 4096 Jun 21 23:36 bounce
drwx-- 25 qmails qmail 4096 Jun 21 23:09 info
drwx-- 25 qmailq qmail 4096 Jun 22 01:26 intd

drwx-- 25 qmails qmail 4096 Jun 21 23:09 remote

Seems okay I think

I took a look in my change logs to see what changes I made and why.
I have seen both of these cases more of the first mentioned than the
second.

I will monitor to see if any of these surface again.
The first is an easy fix but not so much of the second.
