Hi,

What about the current QMT log for this particular bounce? does it
shows the email id ("TO" field) without any malfunction? Is it providing any
other valuable info about this event?

Re: [qmailtoaster] Issue with qmail-inject!

2010-11-17 Thread senthil vel
Hi,

Faced the same problem long time back.

http://www.mail-archive.com/qmailtoaster-list@qmailtoaster.com/msg18687.html

The cause of "fatal:_unable_to_parse_this_line" is, some of the spl
characters must be added or removed from the header part which can't parsed
by qmail-inject . I faced the problem due to a missing ">".

*To:_...@domain.com
*
in that line, was there a "_" before the email id?

Analyzing the mail header or log properly for any such characters will be
more helpful. Find at which place the transition occurred. In my case the
problem was due to a MUA.

the following link might also be helpful..

[qmailtoaster] Clarification on Qmail-Toaster packages

2010-10-06 Thread senthil vel
Hi All,
I am a system administrator using qmail toaster for few years. The
installation, configuration and everything is going without any pain. But I
am having desire to understand things properly. We are using several
packages for a perfect server setup. I just wanted to know the roles and
responsibilities of each packages. I searched in the internet and found the
following details.

zlib -- general purpose compression library
daemontools-toaster -- we can back up our physical CD/DVD discs into
"virtual discs" (Not sure)
ucspi-tcp-toaster -- tcpserver and tcpclient are easy-to-use command-line
tools for building TCP client-server applications.
vpopmail-toaster -- to manage virtual email domains email accounts on your
qmail or Postfix mail server.
libdomainkeys-toaster -- The source code for the latest libdomainkeys
implementation
libsrs2-toaster -- SRS library from the original designer of SRS. It
implements the Sender Rewriting Scheme
qmail-toaster -- ??
courier-authlib-toaster -- set of programs which handle authenticating login
requests from the IMAP and POP3 services
courier-imap-toaster -- Courier-IMAP provides IMAP access to Maildir
mailboxes.
autorespond-toaster -- Autorespond is autoresponder/vacation type tool that
works well with vdelivermail and qmailadmin.
control-panel-toaster -- ??
ezmlm-toaster -- An easy-to-use and high-speed mailing list manager
qmailadmin-toaster -- software package that provides a web interface for
managing a qmail system with virtual domains.
qmailmrtg-toaster -- Log to Graph generator
maildrop-toaster -- Maildrop reads a mail message from standard input/file
then delivers the message to your mailbox.
isoqlog-toaster -- is an MTA log analysis program written in C. It designed
to scan qmail, postfix, sendmail and exim logfile and produce usage
statistics in HTML
squirrelmail-toaster -- Provides webmail access
spamassassin-toaster -- Open Source mail filter, written in Perl, to
identify spam using a wide range of heuristic tests on mail headers and body
text
clamav-toaster -- Clam AntiVirus is an open source (GPL) anti-virus toolkit
for UNIX, designed especially for e-mail scanning on mail gateways
ripmime-toaster -- to extract attachments out of a MIME encoded email
packages.
simscan-toaster -- Simscan is a simple program that enables the qmail smtpd
service to reject viruses, spam, and block attachments during the SMTP
conversation
vqadmin-toaster -- vqadmin is a web based control panel that allows system
administrators to perform actions which require root access for example,
adding and deleting domains. The cgi is authenticated using Apache style
htpasswd files.

Can anyone just correct this if i am wrong? Also what is daemontools-toaster
is used for? What is the difference between vpopmail-toaster,
vqadmin-toaster, qmailadmin-toaster and control-panel-toaster.

Sorry for this much basic questions.. Thanks a ton in advance..

Thanks and Regards,
S.Senthilvel

Re: [qmailtoaster] installed qmail toaster according to wiki and the admin-toaster web page doesn't come up

2010-08-30 Thread senthil vel
Step 1: Make sure selinux and iptables are not the problem.

[r...@myserver]# getenforce
Disabled

[r...@myserver]# /etc/init.d/iptables stop

(Temporary for testing) then access the /webmail. If selinux is enabled, you
have to disable it or configure it properly.

Step 2: I am doubt on your error_log file belongs to currently configured
http.

[r...@myserver]# lsof -i :80
COMMAND PID USER FD TYPEDEVICE SIZE NODE NAME
httpd 1517 root3u IPv6 235651512 TCP *:http (LISTEN)
httpd 1519 apache3u IPv6 235651512 TCP *:http (LISTEN)

Note the PID belongs to the user Root.
Then,

[r...@myserver]# lsof /var/log/httpd/error_log
COMMAND PID USER FD TYPE DEVICE SIZENODE NAME
httpd 1517 root2w REG8,3 643 3408919 /var/log/httpd/error_log
httpd 1517 root7w REG8,3 643 3408919 /var/log/httpd/error_log
httpd 1519 apache2w REG8,3 643 3408919 /var/log/httpd/error_log

Both the PID must be same in my case its 1517.

Step 3 : If both are ok, open your httpd.conf (/etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf
by default as per qmailtoaster installation) and search for 'squirrelmail'
to make sure /etc/httpd/conf/squirrelmail.conf is included.

My error log shows the following when i am accessing a non existing page.

[Mon Aug 30 15:59:12 2010] [error] [client ip] File does not exist:
/var/www/html/test.html

Always its a best practice to analyze the error log. it will solve our

Can you find the file /etc/httpd/conf/squirrelmail.conf?
What is the path of your main httpd.conf?
Does /etc/httpd/conf/squirrelmail.conf has included on it?

Your error log of apache shows nothing? even can't find some file name or
something similar?

What is the output of "getenforce"? post it please...

Try the following step.

[r...@mailserver]# /etc/init.d/iptables stop

Then try accessing the browser. If the webmail loads, open the firewall.sh
script, search for the line

iptables -A INPUT -s 192.168.0.0/16 -i ! lo -j DROP

Change it to

#iptables -A INPUT -s 192.168.0.0/16 -i ! lo -j DROP

Re: [qmailtoaster] Re: Attack?

2010-06-22 Thread senthil vel
Hi Eric,

In linux and administration works, there are many paths to a single
destination. Thanks for pointing the smartest way.

Hi Rafael,

cat /var/log/qmail/smtp/* | grep -i prittyg...@yahoo.com.br (empty)

cat /var/log/qmail/submission/* | grep -i prittyg...@yahoo.com.br
(empty)

instead of using 'prittyg...@yahoo.com.br', can you check with some other
mail id which is very recent in the spam queue?

in general, each log file inside /var/log/qmail will grow up to 1Mb by
default and 100 log files will be preserved. So in some busy servers, only
we can find logs for few hours. In your server, what is the oldest log file
in smtp folder?.

Re: [qmailtoaster] Attack?

2010-06-22 Thread senthil vel
message posted from /var/log/qmail/smtp/current doesnot having any
information regarding this issue

Step 1. #qmailctl queue

it will show the mails in queue. Say for example, i am pasting the output
you have posted in first mail.

21 Jun 2010 22:45:02 GMT #3087267 1435
  remote prittyg...@yahoo.com.br
21 Jun 2010 22:34:44 GMT #3069258 1430
  remote prisci...@terra.com.br
21 Jun 2010 22:44:39 GMT #3079585 1439
  remote priscillame...@yahoo.com.br
22 Jun 2010 00:02:57 GMT #2443198 1438
  remote qeezajtze...@stargate5.com

select a mail id which is in 'remote' field. for example let us take,
prittyg...@yahoo.com.br.

Step 2. Use the grep command to search the mailid we collected in the first
field.

grep -i 'prittyg...@yahoo.com.br' /var/log/qmail/smtp/current

if no results found, check time of the mail in queue (21 Jun 2010 22:45:02)
for this mail. if so check the log file which is having this time stamp. To
do this, go to /var/log/qmail/smtp/

#cd /var/log/qmail/smtp/
#ll or # ls -l

check the log file for appropriate date and time.

If anything does not work,

use,

grep -i 'prittyg...@yahoo.com.br' /var/log/qmail/smtp/*
grep -i 'prittyg...@yahoo.com.br' /var/log/qmail/submission/*

This may take long time and server resource. It will show the log for origin
of the mail.

2010-06-22 Thread senthil vel
Seems some one is spamming. Any one of your mail account might be
compromised. The server is using port 587 to accept mails from local users?
. /var/log/qmail/submission or /var/log/qmail/smtp will tell the truth.

say for example, search for "qeezajtze...@stargate5.com" in above mentioned
logs. So that we can get the origination of this mail. If it is using a
local mail id for authentication, reset the password of the mail. Also
remove the mails in queue using qmail-remove.

It will keep mails in queue, until the queue life time expires. The file is
/var/qmail/control/queuelifetime.

Re: [qmailtoaster] Need your help

2010-05-26 Thread senthil vel
Hi,

Is it from /var/log/maillog? It seems the ip 192.192.1.110 blongs to
TAIWAN. If there no work for an user from Taiwan to access your mail server,
please block this ip. If this type of requests are very high and your server
starts to cry, some intrusion prevention software like ossec might be
helpful.

[qmailtoaster] Procedure to update Clamav

2010-04-16 Thread senthil vel
Dear List,
I am in need to update the clamav toaster. While searching the
archives, i found two set of procedures.

first one is

*# rpmbuild --rebuild --with $DIST clamav-toaster-xx.src.rpm
# qmailctl stop
# rpm -e clamav-toaster
# rpm -Uhv /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/$ARCH/clamav-toaster*.rpm
# /var/qmail/bin/simscanmk -g
# qmailctl start*

another one is

cd /tmp/
wget
http://qmailtoaster.com/download/stable/clamav-toaster-0.96.0-1.3.35.src.rpm
rpmbuild --rebuild --with cnt40 clamav-toaster-0.96.0-1.3.35.src.rpm
cd /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/i386/
rpm -qa|grep clamav-toaster
qmailctl stop
rpm -e --nodeps clamav-toaster-0.92.1-1.3.17
rpm -Uhv clamav-toaster-*.rpm
freshclam
qmailctl stat

In my server, i have compiled the new package without any problem.
Only confusion is after installing the new rpm, what command to run
*/var/qmail/bin/simscanmk -g* or freshclam. Please suggest the exact procedure.

Thanks a ton in advance.

S.Senthilvel

[qmailtoaster] qmail remove and service restart

2010-03-16 Thread senthil vel
Dear List,
I found there was a huge queue in my server. One mail id was used to
relay all the mails. I removed the mail id and removed the queue with
qmail-remove. After that following meassage is in the sed log,

@40004ba03e0a28eb5974 warning: trouble opening remote/15/114992; will
try again later
@40004ba03e0a28ebaf64 warning: trouble opening remote/17/115063; will
try again later
@40004ba03e0a28ec0554 warning: trouble opening remote/17/1534646; will
try again later

Wil it cause any problem(or we can ignore it as just warning) ?

do we need to restart qmail service or entire server?

Re: [qmailtoaster] Re: Fetch Mail Alternative

2010-01-27 Thread senthil vel
Dear Eric,

Thanks for your suggestion. The thing is the main server is located
in the datacenter. The local server is in our office. We are using the local
server to fetch mails to our outlook (Internet is restricted to all users).
Few users are there, called as roaming users, they will be located in
different geographical location, They will use the main server to download
mails. So that i cant implement this.

server and deliver to the users. Now the number of users are increased
(around 500).
Now the time to complete one cycle of the fetch mail has been
increased. In future, the number of user may increased further. Is there any
possibility to run the fetch mail in multiple instances? or is there any
alternatives can be used for fetch mails? Please provide your suggestions.

Thanks and Regards,
S.Senthilvel.

Re: [qmailtoaster] Re: Imap folder settings in the current qmailtoaster server

2009-12-15 Thread senthil vel
Dear Eric,

Following is the solution provided from hastymail. The problem is
fixed now.
now i am checking if we can use the " Account
Administration<http://192.168.0.193/webmail/plugins/qmailadmin_login/qmlogin.php>"
plugin with hastymail (or atleast use the same functionality. If it is not
possible, we can just provide a link to login the qmailadmin in the main
page. I shall update the status.

Senthilvel,
The problem you are experiencing should be fixed in the current SVN. If
you could download that and give it a try that would be great. You can
download the latest code with the following link:

http://hastymail.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/hastymail/trunk/hastymail2.tar.gz?view=tar<http://hastymail.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/hastymail/trunk/hastymail2.tar.gz?view=tar>

Thanks for the feedback,
Jason

2009-12-14 Thread senthil vel
Dear Eric,

I am still using the Courier. I dropped the issue in the hasty mail
forum. They have suggested to change the imap_folder_prefix to INBOX. It
solved the problem to some extent. The existing mail ids are working fine
(But can't create a new folder) . But when login to new email id the default
folder set is not created. I have posted this issue also. following is the
URL for the thread.

http://www.hastymail.org/forums/Hastymail_2/1226/reply_posted/

Apart from this, hasty mail looks very cool and its having a huge number of
options.

[qmailtoaster] Internal Server Error with qmailadmin

2009-09-01 Thread senthil vel
Dear List,

My qmt server working properly for a long time. Suddenly when
trying to reset the password of a particular mail id we got the
following error.

Internal Server Error
-
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was
unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, r...@localhost and inform them
of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may
have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error
log.

while checking the http error log, we found the following..

Tue Sep 01 09:18:17 2009] [error] [client 1.2.3.4] Premature end of
script headers: index.cgi, referer:
http://mail.mydomain.com/qmailadmin/index.cgi/com/moduser?user=postmaster&dom=mydomain.com&time=1251776808&moduser=username

But we never changed anything in the index.cgi. But while checking,
the password seems to be reset but the ouput does not reflected in the
browser.

Also this does not seems to be a global problem. Because i can reset
the password to some other mail ids in the same domain.

will deleting the account and recreate it will solve the problem. Is
there any other way to fix the isse. Please advise...

What is the mailid "jiangsuchemicals1...@yahoo.co.uk" ?

Does it really comes from yahoo.co.uk? this can be found from
smtp(/var/log/qmail/smtp) logs or submission logs.

>From which ip the spam mails are reaching to the server? Can you block
this ip from tcp.smtp?

If all the spam mails originating as same mail id
jiangsuchemicals1...@yahoo.co.uk, add this to the
/var/qmail/control/badmailto.

Does the spam mails still relayed through your server? or the spam
mails are in queue.

If your user(local) users sned mail via port 587 instead of port 25,
they all need to be authenticated first. It will be more helpful to
prevent spam mails originating from local users itself. Please correct
me if i am wrong..

I faced the same problem a short time back...

1. In my case.. Local (my domain) mail id got compromised. I used port
587 to send mails. So i checked the submission logs and found that
exact user(mail id). Then unplugged him from server(at least reset the
password)..

2. Stop the qmail service...

3. then removed the queue by qmailremove.

Re: [qmailtoaster] fetchmail:qmail-inject: fatal: unable to parse this line:

2009-08-18 Thread senthil vel
Dear Ganesh,

Thanks a ton... I really got some new idea regarding the
fetchmail after reading the man page with the help of options provided
by you.

In the beginning i got some problem with the dksign .. I got the following error

SMTP error: 554 qmail-dk: Cannot sign message due to invalid message
syntax. (#5.3.0)

Then i have removed the dksign as per the wiki. Now its working fine.
Now as the qmail-inject does not enter in fetching mail, hope the
problem will not occur again in future.

Thanks again Eric and Ganesh...

Regards,
S.Senthilvel,

Dear Ganesh,

The current fetchmailrc contents are as follows.

set postmaster "postmaster"
set bouncemail
set no spambounce
set properties "V"
set daemon 60

poll serverip proto pop3 port 110

user 'usern...@domain.com' there with password '12345' is
'usern...@domain.com' here options fetchall
mda "/var/qmail/bin/qmail-inject -f%F %T"
dropdelivered

I have planned to change this to "set spambounce"..

Will it be helpful?

Dear Eric,

Thanks for the continuous help. I have relaxed chkuser in the
way that it will not check mails from certain servers. Apart from this
issue there is no problem at all. Tomorrow i shall have a try on this
fetchmail setting. I shall update if worked properly. Mean while, if
there is any way to handle this with fetchmail please advise me.

Thanks and Regards,

2009-08-13 Thread senthil vel
Dear Eric,

The client needs almost all the mails sent to them. So the
primary server has a relaxed chkuser. This cause the main server to
receive such mails. But while using fetch mail, the qmail-inject needs
to be invoked no?. So that this error occurs.
It will be great even such mails are bounced by the
fetchmail. Because this error causes the rest of the emails struck in
the mail box of the users.
After reading the man page of the fetchmail, i found 'set no
spambounce' option in the fetch mailrc. Will changing it to " set
spambounce " will helpful in this issue?(Bounce back mails having
improper format instead of taking it to qmail inject)

Thanks and Regards,
S.Senthilvel.

2009-08-12 Thread senthil vel
Dear Jack and Eric,

Sorry for the delayed response. While looking practical,
rsync is bit complected. Because half of the users are depending only
in the main server (Roaming users). So we must implement directory
level sync (/home/vpopmail/domains/domainname/username). Also the ssh
keys or plain text password cannot be stored in both the servers.
Because the main server is serving for few more domains also.
So i shall search is there any fix in the fetchmail level. If
there is any known fixes or solutions in the fetchmail, please share
with me.

Thanks and Regards,
S.Senthilvel,

Thanks Jake and Eric,

Both the servers are QMT. The main server works very best
in all aspects including spam fighting. If we are using rsync instead
of fetchmail, is it enough to sync the
/home/vpopmail/domains/domainname directory? Or we need to look
something more?

[qmailtoaster] fetchmail:qmail-inject: fatal: unable to parse this line:

2009-08-12 Thread senthil vel
Dear list,

We are using qmail toaster in a local server. ie, fetch mail
will fetch mails from the main server and distribute the mail to the
qmail users. The out ging mails are routed via the main server using
smtproutes.

The problem is, when a mail is having misplaced or improper or
unclosed or unopened < or >, the rest of the mails also cant fetched.
The fetch mail log tells like that,

fetchmail: 1 message for u...@domain.com at serverip (188763 > octets).

qmail-inject: fatal: unable to parse this line:

To: "user_\" ,
""@senderdomain.com

fetchmail: reading message user"@mydomain@serverip:1 of 1
(188763 octets) (log message incomplete)fetchmail: error writing message
 text
fetchmail: MDA error while fetching from user"@mydomain@serverip
fetchmail: Query status=6 (IOERR)

as a temperory solution, we use outlook to directly download the mail
from main server. But this continues for more than 20 users per day.
Is there any way to permanently fix the issue?

Thanks and Regards,
S.Senthilvel,

In some systems where we are using old setup, we were facing the same
issue. Ronnie, hope if any modification done in the qmailadmin for
the same user will again bring the problem back. Plz check this. If
the problem does not occur again, its good. If the same thing happens,
use the following quickfix.

cd /home/vpopmail/domains/domainname/username/

mv .qmail .qmail.bak

This will fix the problem for the single user.

[qmailtoaster] 511 sorry, recipient address has invalid format (#5.1.1 - chkuser)

2009-07-28 Thread senthil vel
Dear List,

One email id is having an apostrophe in the middle. From that
mail id a mail has been received to my server (i allowd certain host
to send mails via SENDER_NOCHECK="1" in my tcp.smtp). Now when trying
to reply to this mail id, following error is occuring.
.
511 sorry, recipient address has invalid format (#5.1.1 - chkuser)

Both from squirrel mail and outlook (Local host and other hosts). Is
there any way to bypass the entire chkuser (at least for localhost) or
any options like RECIPIENT_NOCHECK="1"?.

Thanks and Regards,
S.Senthilvel,

[qmailtoaster] Very slow SMTP

2009-07-13 Thread senthil vel
Dear List,

All my services are working fine. can get response
instantly from ports 110,587,143. But it takes 40 to 50 sseconds to
get resonse from port 25. My smtp and other log look very ordinary. I
am getting this problem from 3 different servers.

1. My blacklist file is empty.

2. The mail trafic is very very low. In one server its 5/100 in average.

3. I have not updated any software/hardware/DNS entry for months.

4. The telnet response getting late in 25 from outside domain and
inside server (telnet localhost 25).

5. I am facing this problem for the past 8 hours.

6. But the mails are coming from other domains(slowly).

7. I have restarted qmail and server couple of times.

Seems some of the others also getting the same problem. Please suggest
me to fix the problem.

Dear List,
In a QMT box, two domains are configured say,

abc.com
zxy.com

The server's host name is mail.abc.com.
The server has been set up before a long time. Its running without
any problem.
Now we need to change the host name to mail.zxy.com. Will this cause
any problem?

Re: [qmailtoaster] Benchmarking POP3

2009-06-14 Thread senthil vel
Dear Eric,
In one of the qmail toaster, the pop3 usage is very very high
(~1000) users using it. The server load is increasing up to 80. So the
server responding strange, Many users are getting auth failure (In
outlook the password prompt is popping up frequently even the
'remember my password' option has been enabled.
So i am interested to edit the file
/var/qmail/supervise/pop3/run. Its default value is

#!/bin/sh

PASSPROG="/home/vpopmail/bin/vchkpw"
HOSTNAME=`hostname --fqdn`

exec /usr/bin/softlimit -m 900 \
/usr/bin/tcpserver -v -R -c 200 0 110 \
/var/qmail/bin/qmail-popup $HOSTNAME \
$PASSPROG /var/qmail/bin/qmail-pop3d Maildir 2>&1

I think increasing 900 to some high values, will make the server
some what regid. But as this is a very busy server, i am having a
short hesitation to take risk. So planned to make changes in a test
environment. But test server does not having that much traffic. So
that i was searching for a tool which make a fake traffic.

Can you help me in hardening the server.

Dear Truong,
The monitoring tolls do not provide any bench marking no?
They show the service is down at peak times. Reason was unable to

[qmailtoaster] Setting domain wise spam score

2009-05-31 Thread senthil vel
Dear List,

In a shared qmail server, the
/etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf file is as follows,

-
# These values can be overridden by editing ~/.spamassassin/user_prefs.cf
# (see spamassassin(1) for details)
# These should be safe assumptions and allow for simple visual sifting
# without risking lost emails.

ok_locales all
skip_rbl_checks 1

required_score 4
report_safe 0
rewrite_header Subject ***SPAM***

use_pyzor 1

use_auto_whitelist 1

use_bayes 1
use_bayes_rules 1
bayes_auto_learn 1

use_pyzor 1
---

I am willing to set the different spam score for different domains,

I went to /var/qmail/control/simcontrol and edited like

-
domain1:clam=yes,spam=yes,spam_hits=12,attach=.mp3:.src:.bat:.pif
domain 2:clam=yes,spam=yes,spam_hits=5,attach=.mp3:.src:.bat:.pif
:clam=yes,spam=yes,spam_hits=12,attach=.mp3:.src:.bat:.pif
-

then ran the command qmailctl cdb

When i am sending some test mails to domain2, the headers are as follows...

Received: by simscan 1.3.1 ppid: 25066, pid: 25068, t: 1.1342s
 scanners: attach: 1.3.1 clamav: 0.92.1
/m: spam: 3.2.4
X-Spam-Status: No, score=2.9 required=4.0 tests=AWL,BAYES_99,DK_SIGNED,
 LOCALPART_IN_SUBJECT,RDNS_NONE autolearn=no version=3.2.4

The required spam score is still 4. The value in
/etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf.

Am i missing anything or making any wrong configuration. Please correct me

Re: [qmailtoaster] Qmlog usage

2009-05-27 Thread senthil vel
Thanks Eric,

Can the output of qmlog redirected to some text file?

I am just trying to do the following,

in /var/log/qmail/send/date, a user will enter the date in 'mmdd'
format from webmin command editor.

Then the following command is executed from the webmin

qmlog -d `cat /var/log/qmail/send/date` send

The output is different than running the same command from cli. Can we
integrate this? If so we can implement the log analyser via webmin
interface.

Further when i tried to redirect the output to some file, it was also
different(Like the output shown in the webmin)

[qmailtoaster] blacklists

2009-05-25 Thread senthil vel
Hi list,

In my /var/qmail/control/blacklists file, it was

-r zen.spamhaus.org

by default.

I tried to add some more rbls like follows...

-r zen.spamhaus.org -r bl.spamcop.net -r list.dsbl.org -r cbl.abuseat.org

I am using opennms to monitor the servers. In that the smtp service is
showing down. The reason is it couldnot connect the SMTP port in the
mentioned time. I can understand the reason. Can any one suggest a
list of RBLs which balances the spamprotection VS the establishment
time?.

And also

Do we need to restart qmail after editing the
/var/qmail/control/blacklists file?

Thanks and Regards,
S.Senthilvel,

[qmailtoaster] Mail archiving using taps

2009-04-03 Thread senthil vel
Hi list,

We need to set up an individual mail back up
(Incoming/Outgoing). In a server, we have created two domains.

example.com and bak.example.com. bak.example.com is a dummy domain
which doesnt have any DNS records. Wrote individual rules in taps
file.

like

a...@example.com:a...@bak.example.com
b...@example.com:b...@bak.example.com

Its working fine for other domain mails. but if user a sends a mail to
user b, the mail is copied in the mail backup id of a(out going) but
it does not copied in the back up mail box of b(In coming)

is there any alternative to achieve to copy all the mails?

Dear Jake,

So much of thanks. The domain was added using the vqaadmin.
But i realized the error and deleted the domain using

/home/vpopmail/bin/vdeldomain domainname

Then created it again

/home/vpopmail/bin/vadddomain domainname password

But the problem still persists.

can i use /home/vpopmail/bin/vmoddomlimits to fix the problem? Because
in that server i have no permission to install phpmyadmin or webmin.
If so, where can i see the man page of vmoddomlimits?

[qmailtoaster] Mails should not reach local domains

2009-03-09 Thread senthil vel
Dear List,
We have planned to migrate one domain from some other server
to qmail toaster. We need to create the mail boxes in advance. But the
mails sent from the domains which are configured in the same server
reaches this mail box. We need to stop this. I have added this domain
via qmailadmin. And removed the domain name from
/var/qmail/control/rcpthosts and /var/qmail/control/virtualdomains.
But the local mails still delivered to the local mail box. I did a
qmailctl cdb. But it did not helps. Am i missing anything. Please
share the ideas. It will be very helpful if i get help earlier.

Of course we are using Nutsmail. Some people are complaining several
bugs in it.
The complaints are deadly stupid, but we cant neglect the voices of client,

1. The printable view does not having an option "Print Button"

2. Some mails contains an attachment named as 'untitled.txt'. But if
the mails viewed from SquirrelMail, we cant find any attachments.

[qmailtoaster] Limit number of out going mails per user

2009-01-05 Thread senthil vel
Dear List,

Is there any possibility to control as follows. "A user can
send only 20 mails per minute" "If he tries to send more than certain
limit, his account will be disabled for certain period(For example 3
hrs)". Hope this can be done with some scripting. Please tell where to
check and set the parameters.

Thanks and Regards,
S.Senthilvel,
