[qmailtoaster] Re: Qmailadmin weirdness
Found it. When setting the domain defaults using /home/vpopmail/bin/vmoddomlimits I had used NOQUOTA on the parameters regarding the number of accounts, aliases, forwarders, etc. While it looked like it worked, this was the source of the missing menu items in qmailadmin. Once I re-ran the vmoddomlimits command against my domains qmailadmin started behaving as expected. -Chris On Sun, Jun 9, 2024 at 4:04 PM Chris Knight wrote: > I’m still puttering along on my new toaster build, and I’ve hit a spot of > the weird with qmailadmin. The undefined index notices are because the script has not checked if the $_POST variables in question had been set, and initialised them accordingly. It's quite common, and won't cause any problems. Your php error reporting seems to include notices. Try changing it to error_reporting = E_ALL ~E_NOTICE in your php.ini. Restart apache after that, and see if the errors still appear. The notice on line 10 of admin.inc.php is to do with the fopen statement. It should read $fd = fopen ( $file, 'r' ) instead of $fd = fopen ( $file, r ). PHP has made the correct assumption in this case and literally translated it to 'r'. Again, not an issue in this case, but you can make the substitution if you desire. Bharath

Amazingly, I might have been right about that since this email went through after I upgraded Webmin, and after I upgraded qmailadmin. FYI I mentioned in my other thread that I fixed the qmailadmin 500 internal server error by creating a symlink to the libmysqlclient.so.15 in /usr/lib. I created symlinks to the others while I was there, even though this alone fixed it: cd /usr/lib ln -s mysql/libmysqlclient.so.15.0.0 libmysqlclient.so.15 I still don't know why I needed to do this, since /etc/ld.so.conf includes this line: include ld.so.conf.d/*.conf and ld.so.conf.d/*.conf points to /etc/ld.so.conf.d/mysql-i386.conf, which includes this line: /usr/lib/mysql which is the directory that includes libmysqlclient.so.15 (symlink to libmysqlclient.so.15.0.0). Webmin is modular and self contained within it's directory. You can easily uninstall it to confirm this. I think you'll find that it is not your problem. The bounces will go there. If you set it to delete the bounces, then what you're probably getting are double bounces. The server will try and send an error message back to the user letting them know the message bounced, and since it's a bad email address they bounce back to your server. They bounced twice, so they're a double bounce. That would be my first guess. Otherwise, send the header info of one of the bounced messages so we can see what's going on. Thanks.

[qmailtoaster] Re: Qmailadmin
The vpopmail package provides many libs used by the other packages. If you change that package (in any way) you will have to recompile the rest of the qmailtoaster system. It is recommended that you remove the packages first and then install. Thanks, Erik On 4/10/06, mike opoien [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Erik- I recalled rebuilding the vpopmail spec file, and sure enough the spec file was still around. If I removed qmailadmin and rebuilt it with --disable-clear-passwd would I have to remove all of my packages and start over? I ask because that I cannot do. Mike, I'm a little confused. Are you still having problems after rebuilding everything? If so, is it still the qmailadmin problem mentioned before. It won't adversely affect your install. However if you had already rebuilt against the customized vpopmail, then you probably won't get qmailadmin to work after rebuilding. Can you send me the changes applied to your vpopmail? Just what is different, not the whole thing.
