Re: [qmailtoaster] Issue upgrading Spamassassin

2008-08-18 Thread James Palmer
I can confirm SA 3.2.5 also installs fine on a fully updated (via yum)
fresh install of COS5...having done it this weekend.

Marco,

Did you upgrade CentOS from 4.2 to 5.x at some point? Your RF
packages
appear to be for COS5. Did you install the correct RF version
for your

system? COS5 and COS4 are different, and must match your system.

I haven't seen a requirement for perl-HTTP-date or perl-LWP-

spamassassin-toaster which was recently posted on the main site?

Ok, just wondering. Your first post on the thread said COS4.2 - must've been
a typo. ;)

I don't see either of those packages on RF. Maybe RF's just lagging a little
bit?

I haven't tried installing the latest SA yet, but hope to soon. Has anyone
on this list installed the latest SA? If so, do they have these packages
installed? From where?

qtp-whatami v0.3
DISTRO=CentOS
OSVER=5.2
QTARCH=i686
BUILD_DIST=cnt50
BUILD_DIR=/usr/src/redhat

RE: [qmailtoaster] Issue upgrading Spamassassin

2008-08-11 Thread Marco Cordeiro
Eric , I did dag installation but I still cannot find 2 perl packages :

#yum install perl-LWP-UserAgent
Loading "priorities" plugin
Loading "fastestmirror" plugin
Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile
 * rpmforge: fr2.rpmfind.net
 * base: centos.oi.com.br
 * updates: centos.pop.com.br
 * addons: centos.oi.com.br
 * extras: centos.oi.com.br
0 packages excluded due to repository priority protections
Setting up Install Process
Parsing package install arguments
No package perl-LWP-UserAgent available.
Nothing to do

It's in the archives.
You have to install the perl modules via a RPM repo - the spamassassin
RPM file does not check the see if the files are installed (via CPAN),
it only looks to see if the RPMs for them are installed. That was coded
by the Spamassassin people.

Re: [qmailtoaster] Issue upgrading Spamassassin

2008-08-05 Thread Ben King

I have MakeMaker.pm version 6.44 revision 54639 on CentOS 5.2

I have the same exact error that person in the message I quoted is getting.

+ rm -f /var/tmp/spamassassin-toaster-root/etc/mail/spamassassin/v310.pre
+ install -m 0644 /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES/qmailtoaster.local.cf.bz2
/var/tmp/spamassassin-toaster-root/etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf.bz2
install: cannot create regular file
`/var/tmp/spamassassin-toaster-root/etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf.bz2': No
such file or directory

error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.37388 (%install)

The rpm build fails at the local.cf.bz2 file.

I tried doing a cpan bundle update and then loaded IO::Compress::Bzip2.
CPAN doesn't fail or load this as a dependency. If you don't watch the build
then you could easily miss the note on the screen about it missing. This
didn't help me either.

There's a good chance that there's a fix to your problem, but it's a good
idea to verify that you're having the problem which the fix fixes. ;)
Please post the error you're getting, along with the version of your

OS is centos 5.2 x86_64 (to be exact it was 5.1 or 5.0 updated to 5.2)

Problem is not MakeMaker, 3.2.4 compiled with same MakeMaker but doesnt
anymore

I didnt have time to check much. too busy those days

Re: [qmailtoaster] Issue upgrading Spamassassin

2008-07-12 Thread Erik A. Espinoza
This issue appears to be caused by a mismatch of a perl module between
the source and destination.

Eric Schubes has created a work around that I haven't had a chance to
validate on all the platforms yet, but once done I will release it.

Thanks,
EE
