[SlimDevices: Radio] No radio stations

2012-04-24 Thread Robm1955

This morning, I couldn't listen to any of my preset stations or
favourites. I got a message about the IP address on each station (eg
cannot find ip address for bbc.co.uk). I don't know what this could be,
as there is no problem with the router, or logitech media server. My pc
was connected to the internet through wifi, and the icon was not red on
my radio.

Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Can't listen to radio (cause of my music library)

2012-04-24 Thread toby10

Sounds like your LMS server cannot see the internet or LMS has your
incorrect MySB.com login info.

What version of LMS? What computer and OS?

If on a PC go to LMS icon in your system tray select Remote Control, go
to Diagnostics. What is reported for ALL pings, ports, IP's?
Also go to LMS Settings MySqueezeBox.com, is your MySB login info
present? Any mention of invalid? Password will correctly show as
blank.

If on a NAS try stopping restarting LMS, this may clear it's DNS
networking issue.

Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Radio WiFi keeps dropping.

2012-04-24 Thread DjTweed

Rant
I have no idea what the Root Cause of all these WiFi issues is, but...

I have 3 SBR's, all WiFi, and 2 of them work ANYWHERE in my condo,
without issue. The latest SBR has already had the Red Icon issue, and
I'm afraid it will return.

Keep in mind, I have over 12 Wifi devices in my home and NONE of them
ever complain. For this reason alone, the SBR is at least a very
temperamental device. Not sure if it's Firmeware, or maybe they just
chose a poor Wifi radio for the SBR.

Either way, this is 2012, and Just replace your Router, or Jump
through all these hoops is not an acceptable answer to this kind of
issue.

Long ago (2005?) I purchased a Roku music player, and it got sent back
for this same type Lost connection of issue.

/Rant

That said, the latest version of LMS is amazing, and I no longer have
Sonos Envy, now that every room is synced perfectly!

rants/complaints are better if posted at the logitech official forums,
where someone from Logitech may read them. This forum is a user-to-user

Like I'd posted, I just got a new router. Didn't futz with _anything_
including reserving IP under DHCP. The Radio is still, however, assigned
a static IP outside the DHCP range. No port forwarding, no nothing. Just
plugged router in, and let it do its thing. Running WPA2-Personal.

So who knows? It could've been the router, could've been the firmware
update/LMS update. I'll continue to post uptime/updates as edits to my
 post immediately preceding yours.

Mine started having these issues soon as I changed Cisco stock firmware
to DD-WRT on my E3000.Guess I'll have to go back responded to
your post because I am of the same mind - possibly router related, at
least for the drop - I think the Radio should recover from whatever the
Router is doing ;-)

Yes. My MsSB info is present. I use the same email and password to log
on MySqueezeBox.com as I use in LMS.
The status on Squeezebox Radio (under Players) is Not Connected when I
choose my music library. When I go to Settings - Advanced - Network -
Switch to mysqueezebox.com on my Squeezebox Radio, the status is
Connected.

[SlimDevices: Radio] How to open Squeezebox Radio

Have anyone ever opened the Squeezebox Radio? I found no screws even not
under the rubber things in the bottom of the device. So how can I open
it without breaking anything?
