And not to miss another big advantage of SBS: You have it in your own hand if and when it is working. Logitech has/had some issues with their MYSB.COM services, so that your squeezebox could be unusable at these times! Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] New 'alarm off' Feature/Change in 7.4.2 and 7.5
Philip Meyer;502955 Wrote: - An alarm that enables music to start at a specific time, without entering some alarm mode. i.e. Just play music, don't offer any snooze/alarm off options. My suggestion is to clearly distinguish between: A) Listen to music B) listen to an alarm sound (which may also be some kind of music) So, when an alarm is triggered there should be an easy method to stop the alarm (which for sure includes the audio) or snooze. Best way would be by big buttons on the front panel. The small and not illuminated buttons around the big knob are not usefull for this. Once again: The not illuminated buttons are the biggest design flaw of the radio! So the only way is a popup menu or if it would be possible just turn the knob: a) left turn = snooze b) right turn = turn alarm off If nothing is pressed/turned the audio is being stopped within a fixed time period. If you want to listen to music one should start playing as usual, but fully independet of the alarm function. That's the way all radio alarm clocks i know did work for the last 20years. Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Alarm through speaker although headphone plugged in?
Since we all know that the headphone plugin bug of the controller has even after more than 12 months not being solved and that one get no answer to what is the reason for the bug on the Radio nor when it is going to be addressed: Could it be that it is a hardware design flaw which could not be solved by software? I'm going to wait a few more days and after that i'm going to return the last Radio i owned too, because of wrongly announced features. Sorry for not being a loyal customer anymore. Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Alarm through speaker although headphone plugged in?
I already commented on the bug last week, because i believe that the given priority level P1 normal is wrong, because normal is defined as under certain circumstances. I won't believe that plugging a headphone into an alarm device with a buildin headphone plug is something special. Especialy because i asked for it and get the official info that it is intended to work... But still no answer in anyway. Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Alarm through speaker although headphone plugged in?
Any news on this issue? I especially asked for this functionality before buying the unit and was being told by logitech that it would work the way i need it (see beginning of this thread). It was a major buying point for me which is even after several weeks not being addressed. The only thing i can see is that the bug states to be resolved in 7.4.x. But all infos on this forum say that there is not going to be another official 7.4.x version. So when is this major issue going to be resolved or do i have to return the Radio because it doesn't fulfill its official specs and so is useless for me? Thanks in advance for any news! [SlimDevices: Radio] Radio bricked via update to firmware 7790?
Big trouble here: Just recieved my radio and tried to set it up. While the first go it asked to update the firmware to version 7790. Flashing was done without any error message, but since the automatic reboot i just get two menu entries (my music and options) and when pressing any of the hard buttons on the radio there is no reaction at all(besides a short beep). I also tried to use a remote from my sb3 with the same result. Any idea (beside sending it back to logitech)? How can i revert to an old firmware? Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Radio bricked via update to firmware 7790?
There is no problem connecting to MYSB.COM as the radio is downloading the new fw 7790 from MYSB.com. I can also see the radio on MYSB.COM as a player. The router I'm using is always using fixed IPs in DHCP mode. I have to lease them manually (if wanted).
