[SlimDevices: Radio] Alarm with radio stream : screen don't goes back to screen saver
With my 2 radio (bought in different time) I have the same problem with alarm. I use alarm daily with a radio stream, the alarm starts and when it stops the screen stay with the radios information and doesnt go back to the screen when radio is off. I have tried with different (built in) screensavers or no, but it always occurs. Its not a big problem but I have it since the beginning and it have never been fixed. Did you notice this behavior ? This evening when listening my Radio I have the information of the radio I was listening in the morning! Need a reboot to solve. Music stops all alone, to restart need to change the volume level or to press play. Problems occur sine more a week and get worst these last 2 days. Any information from Logitech ? I use my Radio to wake up with a radio stream, then afer 60 min the Radio should stop and the display should show the screen save I have chosen. Most of the time, the radio stops but the display keeps on showing the radios information I was listening (name of the radio, name of the emission,..) with no update, and not the screen saver. Hello ! I have never modified files in the firmware !!! I have already do a factory reset, the problem occurs on my 2 Radio, and I see I am not alone. It occurs since months (or years as I have a radio since it's has been launched). I don't know what I can do to help you, but ask if you need more. When I come back home, I often find my device off (no sound) but the display shows the last informations from the radio stream, I can't see the weather I should see (I have installed this app) when the device is not working. It's not very important, but I have it since I have a Radio. Do you have it too ? A old issue : Sometimes, when the alarm ends, the display stay showing the last radio streeam i was listening to (no sound). I have to turn off my device to have the display off. I am not sure it's just a mySB.com issue : it happens just after 7.6.1 most of the time my Boom works fine (not same king of fw). I have something like that since a week (in Europe). My Radio has lost his name and is called Nil. Also, lost mySB.com conection : presets don't work, no menu items for my favorites... Sometimes it works with tuening off then on, but not always. As mysqueezebox.com seems to be more robust, I have decided to use alarms... Now I have a different behavior : At 7:00 the radio stream begins to play during a few second (about 5 sec.) and then the backup alarm stars to play. I have tried with another radio streams but it is the same. So I wonder who uses alarm and how can it work. I have read that the radio thinks that the stream is not goog so the back up alarm plays, but I can listen the radio I have choosen to wake up. will it be fixed one day ? Today when I come back I have no favorites, radios... shortcut buttons make nothing on my Radio (but my Boom is OK !!!). Wifi is OK ! (white icon) To solve thos I have to shut down and turn on my Radio and then menus come back... shortcut buttons are ok. It is as if my Radio can't connect to mySqueezeBox.com OK but it last for months for these problems, from time to time it's OK but they occur to offently in EU. Will they be solved on day ? My router allocates IP dynamically and was ok when i had the problem with my Radio. No reboot or anything else with it. All my devices connected to my router exept my Radio was working (wifi or ethernet). Hello, Here in France, mysqueezebox.com is out of order in the morning: some menu items are missing, my radios dont work, my presets dont work, .. and no alarm is working in this situation. Also, the display sometime stops updating : I listen to a radio with the information on the display corresponding to the previous radio I have listened. The display is frozen. Since a few days I have a new strange problem : My SBRadio stops straeming but not turns off If I just use a command on the SBRadio (volume, ...) the sound comes back And... If I use the power button on the SBRadio it now doesn't go to stand by mode, it sometimes goes to complete power off !!! I have this probelm too, from time to time my SBRadio turns off all alone ! And if I wante to listen again I can't just select the stream as it will not work, I have to turn it on, and off and on and select the radio stream I have another problem too : sometime, the informations display on the stream are not the good one as SBRAdio doesn't refresh informations. I can see the informations from a radio straem I have listen to hours before. SBRadio doesn't refresh for hours and then it is ok. These 2 problems occur with all my radio streams. Yes, I am fed up with this device. Alarms often don't work : no sound at all () or back up alarm. Radio switches off all alone, I have to siwtch it on myself and then no sound, put it off and on and it's ok !!! Display changes all alone : this evening I have the black display instead of the red one I have chosen. I want to say that : My Squeezebox Boom work without these problems (for the one concerned), somme problems are new from 7.5 and I have made no change in my internet system. Now I use from time to time this device, waiting for a day it will work better. I was interested in SBTouch, but, with the problems encounters with the new SBRadio it's better to wait a few months to have something working. Thank you, I have found : Here is the solution for this problem. ssh to the system and run the following commands and reset the system: # mkdir /media/mylogs # mkdir /media/mylogs/log This will capture the log files on the flash and under the /media/mylogs/log directory. The maximum size of the files before the logs get rotated is 60MB. Whenever you like to switch back to the previous state run the following command: #rm -Rf /media/mylogs notice that this causes all the captured logs to be lost. I would imagine that we can have an option in the UI to facilitate this process, but I am not sure if it has a lot of value. But I don't know what ssh to the system means, and how to enter the commands # ... My log seems to last just 5 minutes, is it normal for SBRadio ? In my posted log above, do you know why my ReadyNas Duo appears despite I am only using mySB.com ? Thank you for help ! Sorry but I am not familiar with that sort of things as I have no problem with my Boom. Hello As I have ever writen my SBR mixes english and french in menus... I use mySB.com and my SBBoom never mixes languages... I wonder when accessing my SBRadio with the web site if it is not this action that make my SBRadio mixing languages. Because this morning menus were in frecnh (not apps !) and after setting alrams my SBradio have some menus in english (of course mysq.co is set in frecnh). There is another strange thing too : My Boom and Radio are all in french (sometimes my radio is all in french), but in my Radio my apps are in english (mediafly, radiotime) and in fench in my Boom ! Rarely, the apps are in french in my Radio. I think Logitech is not handling lanaguages as well on radio as on Boom. Do you think you can see something in the log ? Are there foreigners unsers of SBRadio that encourter this bug ? The best thing for me is to extract the log in the eveneing as the morning i have no time, so it means that SBR keep logs for more than 12 hours... As I said, it sould be very strange that this behaviour just begin with new firmware, no ? Just fefore, it worked well except the ghost alarms. And why is it ok on my Boom ? This morning my radio was playing nothing. It was on, on the display I can see the name of the radio stream but no sound, no back up alarm. I just select this radio from the preset : it is ok ! So if I had a problem with my connection I sould have backup alarm. Please, stop saying we are just not able to detect bug. We have a brain, whe have knowlegde too ? My Radio is connected to mysb.com. I choose a radio in my favorites for the alarm. I have the last firmware on my radio. Now, ghost alarms have disepeared but I have 2 new problems : - alarm is playing and is suddently replaced by backup alarm. It occurs during the alarm or in the exact moment the alarm normally stops. My internet connection is perfect at this moment. - alarm is normally playing but won't stop as expected. Since lats firmware I have no morning with alarm working as it should. I don't think my internet connection suddenly become bad since last firmware and explain these new problems. Thank Sihude, but I wonder why can I configure all the parameters for my Boom which is also sophisticated and not all for my Radio. In fact it is not logical for customers not to have teh same possibilities whith products similar. If I can do it for my Boom I sould be alble to do it with my Radio. It's just what i think ! I have a strange behavior with my Radio : Two evening in the week, it's get on with a alarm. I think it's an included sound. BUT I have set 2 alarms ONLY in the morning. In the radio or on mysqueezebox.com I just see my 2 alamrs so I can't delete this strage one. What can I do to delete it ? A reset factory (but will I lost every thing on it ?). Thank for your help. Last version : 7.4.2 r8423 Wifi connection to mysqueezebox.com The alarm uses a music, it's always the same so it can't be a radio stream but a builtin sound. I have never had that with my Boom. I wonder why, on mysqueezebox.com we have only few options to configure our Suqeezebox Radio. Menu Players, with a Boom we have : General, network, display, audio, menus (so important for me...), alarms With a Radio only : General, network, alarms Why this difference ? I have the following problem with my Squeezebox radio : I set an alarm in the morning. I have chosen a radio. When its the time for the alarm to play I can hear nothing. On the screen I can read Repeat alarm and delete alarm. There no beep beep, those we can have when the radio stream is unavailable. I think it is as if there is a problem with the radio stream but the Squeezebox Radio seems to unable play either the radio or the default alarm. Or the radio has bugs in the software. So I can use my radio to wake up as it is not reliable. [SlimDevices: Radio] Sq radio won't play....
I have a Boom and a brand new radio. I share the same favorites for both Squeezbox. But on the Radio, if I want to listen to a favorite or even form the Internet radio menu i have buffering...buffering... and nothing ! I have to reboot the Radio (long press on on/off) and it works. On the Boom, i can listen favorites without any trouble. Why my 2 Squeezebox behave so differently ? Thank you very much !!! I didn't look in the radio menus because I have a Boom and I use to configure it using mysqeezebox on the web. Every parameters are availbale on the web. For the SQRadio these parameters only exist on the radio, it's the first time I see that on a Squeezebox, it't a new way to configure it !!! Now Parameters are not the same on the web and on the radio ! Just a little question, do you know if I can dim the display ? I don't find this option. Thank you again for answering me.
