For some reason all of the BBC Local Radio stations have stopped working (Listen Live) when accessed via the BBC Radio app (v1.10). What's odd is that the national ones still work. Also that the Local Radio stations work fine when accessed via either the BBC iPlayer server plugin or via Internet Radio search. If someone is switching from MySB to LMS it is more than likely to access their local music. This also serves as additional confirmation that the switch has taken place. The user is now presented with all menu items within My Music, for you this means you are one menu press away from what you want, selecting either Music Folder or the back arrow to the Home menu. Seems logical to me. :) -- toby10 toby10's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=93567 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] BBC Radio app
Because most users simply use My Music to get back to their local LMS server without needing the Switch Library menu item. What I think makes more sense is if they would simply make it one menu item of Switch Server (or Switch Source), this would eliminate all ambiguity. When selected, *all* available servers are offered. For most users this is simply two options, their local LMS and MySB.com. For others running multiple servers it can offer several instances of local LMS servers, TinySC on the Touch, MySB.com. -- toby10 toby10's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=93567 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

I personally would prefer it if "My Music" disappeared when I'm connected to MySB since the other, more useful, "Music Folder" and "Playlists" vanish, why not "Music" too. I think maybe Logitech eventually did remove the option to add it to the Home menu. Ideally things should be changed so that you don't need to switch back and forth so much. On a pure whim yesterday, I happened to use my radio itself to access the 3rd-party apps list and found the new app. I installed it and was very pleased to be able to access Friday's version of the Radio1/Essential Mix and Radio2/Friday Night is Music Night. Thank you very much for this new version of the BBC app. It's much appreciated by me. (By the way, I've installed the 1.9 version and it still disappears from the apps menu after about a day of use. I have to turn off and turn on the radio, and then reinstall it, to get it back.) -- squeeze1234 squeeze1234's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=54261 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=93567 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
[SlimDevices: Radio] BBC Radio app
There is a new version of the BBC Radio app (1.9) which should fix a bug which caused it not to display on the My Apps menu when it is the only app installed. The listen live streams should use the latest aac urls that the BBC use and that people have started to post on this forum. If you use the applet this should work with all available BBC streams. If you find a problem please post here. Please note that the Radio 3 HD stream has had some problems recently, but the standard AAC Radio 3 stream is of equal quality and you should use this in preference. -- Triode Triode's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=93567 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
