Google used to have Thunderbird and Firefox as part of their Google Pack
service, but I see (from heading over there to get the URL to share with
folks) that they're not included anymore... that sucks.

That used to be a nice way to load a number of useful tools on a Windows
box in one swell foop... No more, I guess.

I do believe I did state earlier that you might be able to locate
replacement coils with the slugs on this remailer by carefully
posting the exact model number as printed on the circuit board.
Also, don't forget to include which coils you are looking for.

This suggestion comes from someone who just tossed
several Micor mobiles in the drop box (20 cubic yard trash
  dumpster.)

I have played the bad slug / good slug game several times
over the last 45 years or so - mostly Motorola FM gear. By far,
the simplest fix for the Micor circuit board is a simple
  replacement.

   Hope this helps,

How fast are the cores moving that they require braking? Must have to slow
them down so that they will not break with the tuning tool.

Heh. I have to agree. For those who aren't computer nerds,
Outlook (and IE) are truly dangerous problems, fraught with
problems and security holes. Yes, they look nice, but they're
as unsecure as they are nice to the end user.

Everyone is encouraged to look at Eudora and Thunderbird
for email, and Firefox for web browsing. Eudora is commercial,
but there is a free version which is great, and Firefox/Thunderbird
are open-source programs which you can freely and legally give
to all your friends.

Please consider using them; they make using Windows less of a
security horror.

Oh, and if you use instant messenger software, try gaim. It
speaks all the popular protocols (yahoo, icq, msn...) and is a
lot safer security wise. Google for those terms and you'll
find out where to get them. If anyone has questions send

Have you looked at www.eudora.com recently?

 From the web page:
Eudora® email moves to open source development and delivers final
commercial version -- Eudora 7.1 for Windows and 6.2.4 for Mac OSX.

The open source version of Eudora® is targeted to be released during
the first half of calendar year 2007 and will be free of charge. Once
the open source version of Eudora is released, QUALCOMM will cease to
sell Eudora commercially. Until then, the current commercial versions
are available for the reduced price of $19.95 with a six-month period
of technical support. All prior technical support commitments continue
 to be honored.

Personally I like Eudora - I've used it since version 3 and while I have
a few dislikes about it the big thing is that it's not a virus magnet like
LookOut is.
