Proxmox VE is an hypervisor (and thus an OS). We're talking about hardware here. IPMI like and so on. On 31/07/2014 19:14, Stefan L. wrote: > what about going proxmox ve? I've been struggling with the Australian dealer for over one month now, as it decided to raise shipping costs tenfold and then expected me to submit my credit card details over plain E-Mail... They finally cancelled the transaction today and issued a refund for my already paid costs. So, suggestions are welcome again for alternative dealers :) The Portuguese ones still don't reply. Has anybody seen other locations for getting an ASMB3-iKVM? The Tyan board has been shipped and will be tested when Jan is back from vacations. The Portuguese one for the ASMB3-iKVM did not reply while the Australian one did. Their total price incl. shipping is around 158$, which is ~116 EUR. No idea if they are talking about USD or AUD here, but difference would be negligible. We may have to pay additional taxes when importing it into Sweden, so in the worst case, the total price would be around 150 EUR. Still acceptable for a full remote KVM solution for our Debug server in my opinion. Remaining problem is the Tyan M3291. The vendor didn't reply either and it may be one of those sellers who only answer after buying. As we're quite limited in options here, I'd like to proceed with the order and try to get shipping information afterwards. If it isn't possible for the seller to ship it to Sweden, could I send it to any of our US guys and you ship it to Sweden afterwards? You will be reimbursed for the additional costs of course! Just write here or send me an E-Mail if you volunteer. [ros-dev] Fezile server down
Hi all, Apart from the critical servers hosted in Germany, we can operate our own network in Sweden by courtesy of Jan Blomqvist-Kinander. Today, the infrastructure team has set up a new switch there, which is meant to increase the network performance, allow a better intrusion detection and offer more ports. Most of our machines could be successfully moved to that switch, except for Fezile. Due to unexpected networking problems, this machine became unavailable even for us and needs to be rebooted manually. It's also one of our older servers without an IPMI module, so we can't remotely reboot it. The server outage affects the following services: * iso.reactos.org * doxygen.reactos.org * cppcheck.reactos.org * VMware Player Test slave I'm very sorry for the additional downtime this has caused. Once the server is up again, we'll do our best to prevent this from happening again. Take my word that I'll write a report for the website about the recent infrastructure changes, so you can get an idea of our additional resources :) With best regards, Colin ___ Ros-dev mailing list Ros-dev@reactos.org http://www.reactos.org/mailman/listinfo/ros-dev
