DE, or diatamateous earth. Get it at the garden store. It is very fine
like flour. Rub it into the fur, don't have to worry about using too
much, use lots. OK if rabbit (or daughter) eats some, won't hurt
anything, might help some things (worms). Probably $6 will be enought
to last a very long time.

To a physician long interested in microbiology, A New Germ Theory
brought up the interesting question of scientific information and
timing. What causes information to be set aside and what determines when
its time has finally come?

In 1946 I was a first-year resident at the New York Hospital when the
senior attending physician, Constance Guion, called to tell me that she
was admitting a patient who was suffering with an acute, painful peptic
stomach ulcer.

Dr. Guion instructed me to start the patient on that new antibiotic,
aureomycin, the forerunner of the modern tetracycline family of
antibiotics. But Dr. Guion, I expostulated. I thought you said she
had an ulcer. Why would you want to treat her with an antibiotic?

Dr. Guion replied, The latest research over at Mount Sinai shows that
'peptic' ulcers are actually caused by germs; now do as I say and give
her the aureomycin.

The patient went home three days later free of symptoms.

Judith Hooper replies:

Paul Fremont-Smith's letter is fascinating. One wonders what Constance
Guion knew and how she knew it -- and who dropped the ball.

Greetings transmuters of silver into electuary medicament,
Could have just said hello,no fun in that. Anyway, some new stuff to
talk about.
Some months back was thinking how to keep the CS clear while making it.
Clear being used to mean no turbidity. That means totally transparent or
perspicuous(nothing visible). Clear is not a correct term to use since
you can have clear eyes, a clear road, etc. .So in attempts to make CS
with no turbidity did a series of experiments on *Current Density*.
After doing a lot of tests and constructing Current Density Tables have
found that if the wetted electrode current is kept below
0.0107ma per mm2 (10.7ua per mm2) that the CS stays clear and no
Floculation takes place until after power is removed. This equates to a
true solution or particles under 1 mu (10-6 mm). mu=millimicron
   ma=milliamp ua= microamp   mm=millimeter  mm2=millimeter squared
This means that single atoms have been removed. These single atoms will
begin to floculate after power is removed into larger groups of atoms or
small molecules, all of which can PASS INTO cells and attack
viruses, viroids and prions. Normal large particle CS will attack
bacteria which are outside of cells, but can not get into the cell.
Remember that bacteria are outside cells and viruses, viroids and prions
are inside cells.
In order to further enhance the potentiality of the CS ran a series of
experiments to explore the capability of removing one or two or three
electrons from the silver atom. This I could do with the *starved
electrode* technic. In was found that with only one electron removed the
CS would become pale rose pink (red)(6470A,647mu) when floculating with
only slight turbidity. With two electrons removed the CS would become
yellow (5780A,578mu)when floculating and only slight turbidity. With
three electrons removed the CS would become violet
(lavender)(4050A,405mu) when floculating with only slight turbidity.
A= angstroms mu= millimicrons  mv=millivolt
With the *starved electrode* the CS becomes very ionicly active with
typical readings of 30 to 50 mv at the electrodes with no power applied
after making the CS. One run was stopped at 6ppm and WITHOUT power
applied the ppm continued to rise to 14ppm over a period of several
days. The mv potential at the electrodes slowly went down as the ppm
went up. This is really active stuff and opens up new avenues of thought
and more tests to make.

If you remove the electrodes and reintroduce them to the CS does the

gather this means only fresh CS is extremely active?

  Hi Ken,
  Answers:
Question 1. Current is the flow of electrons, don`t care how you get
them to move. Don`t exceed 10.7ua per mm2 and the CS will stay clear.
Question 2. Floculation is not clumping. Floculation is the atoms
trying to become stable by following the OCTET rule of valence
electrons.Floculation begins as soon as power is removed and the atoms
begin combining their valence electrons. Its a slow process, goes faster
the higher the ppm is to begin with as more atoms are trying to
stabilize. Occurs over many days, you will notice a hint of color tint
right away.
Question 3. That is a way of slowly lowering the electrode voltage
over a period of time until the ionic potential equals the electrode
voltage, its related to area also. At that time the electrode current
will also be starved.
Question 4. Don`t know ,did not remove electrodes and reintroduce
them, that could be another test.Fresher it is the more potent it will
be. I would never store it when its so easy to make it.
Thanks for the questions Ken. They were very excellent.

  Hi Ken,
Thanks for message. I`m really backlogged, only 379 postings behind.
:-)

The current density tables were constructed for DC current.

A starved electroded is created by slowly increasing series resistance
until electrode potential is about 13% above the ionization voltage of
the electron you are removing, (refer to ionization tables in a physics
book). At this point the current will remain constant while the PPM will
continue to rise. The solution will become saturated with ions and
become very reactive. This way you can control how many electrons you
are removing from the atom. That will determine the flocculation
structure later, and the size and configuration of the resulting
molecular atomic structure.

Re-post by request.
--
oozing on the muggy shore of the gulf coast
  l...@fbtc.net

Hello Ken, Andrew and other paragons of CS,

The Starved Electroded was discovered quite by accident while during
experiments for constructing current density tables. Any good meters
will be satisfactory, however I was using an RS model 174B LCD Digital
Auto-ranging multimeter, a couple of RS model 803 LCD Digital
Auto-ranging multimeters, a Simpson 260 multimeter and a Calectro model
H3-361 multimeter. The RS 174B also measures temperature.
The thing to do is get the electrode potential at 13.3% above the
electron ionization potential. For the Ag atom the Potentials are ;
  Ag I7.542v 13.3% over is 8.5v
Ag II 21.4v 13.3% over is 23.8v ( in the range of 3 nine volt
batteries)
  Ag III 35.9v 13.3% over is 40.7v

I would select a current I wanted to run at,such as 3 ma ( in my case
that would be 4.5ua/mm2 of wetted electrode area) and keep the current
at 3ma or under during the run. Start the run and let the current build
up to the limit you have selected for the experiment. Begin increasing
series resistence to the electrodes ,alway keeping the current at 3ma
(any current you select). As the conductivity of the CS becomes higher
the current will try to rise and you need to keep increasing the series
resistance. Monitor the electrode voltage and current all the time and
tabulate it as you go. If you don`t have time to stay with it don`t
bother to try, as it needs constant monitoring. Every 5 minutes stir the
water CCW and record the current before and after stirring. Normally
after each stir the current will drop as the CS is dispersed from the
vicinity of the electrodes.I use four sets of electrodes, located around
the edge of the vessel. My stirring is in the middle of the CS
solution. Your tabulation (charting) will look like a series of
sawteeth. As the solution becomes saturated and the electrode voltage
reaches the target potential a strange thing will happen. Each time you
stir the CS the current will INCREASE (instead of decreasing) and you
will find that the tabulated sawteeth will be reversed from the previous
sawteeth. Each time you stir the saturated CS the solution is increasing
(adding to) the energy of the circuit and the current rises momentarily.
Once the the sawtooth reversals are evident the current will no longer
increase, it becomes self regulating. The CS ppm will level off and
remain steady. I usually let it run another 30 minutes to ensure
complete saturation. The solution is now saturated, will not accept any
more ions. The ionic potential is now 13.3% above the ionization
potential. It is maintaining a status quo, the ionic potential is
balancing the external potential applied to the electrodes. Under this
condition the ionic potential will cause the ppm to begin to rise when
external power is removed. The energy stored in the CS being used to
continue the CS making process. This was also discovered not too long
ago by another of our experimenters. :-)
Sometimes I would stop and let the solution set for many hours and
start it again to see what would happen. It always started where I had
left off. The self ppm rise will only happen after the solution is
saturated and at high energy.

limited at 13% over the EIP. Question, please: Which regime do you believe
produces the best CS, I, II, or III? (8.5v, 23.8v, or 40.7?)

To date I use a 30 volt PS with current limiting, and my color is clear,
decaying to yellow over time in storage, which I assume is correct for
regime II. In earlier experiments, I produced violet with a 48 volt source
 (confirms regime III).

With voltage limiting at 8.5 v and current limiting, I should produce all
regime I. I may switch between I, II, and III if there is an advantage. I
 appreciate your comments! Tom Parkhill

 Hi Tom,
Good questions. There is no best CS per se. The regime I will be best
for intra-cellular use as it is the smallest atoms, and molecules in
size. The regime II is the most common, thats what most of us make (its
yellow). Good for intra-cellular and inter-cellular use, contains regine
I small particles and of course, regime II medium size particles. The
regime III is the largest particles, very good for topical use and
general spraying around. Of course the regime III will also contain
regime I and regime II size particles, although in smaller percentages
of the total fluid.
Color wise all of the regimes will produce clear fluid. As particle
size becomes larger the flockulation will be faster.
i.e. Regime I will stay clear a long time, regime II will stay clear a
shorter time and regime III will not stay clear very long. As the
density of the particles becomes greater in the fluid the natural
molecule desire to flockulate will become greater. Don`t confuse density
of molecules with size of molecules. Most regime III will begin
flockulation as soon as the power is removed. The regime II may go many
hours or days before it shows signs of flockulation. Regime I may not
flockulate for a long time(I have seen months). The density is a major
factor in flockulation. Higher density will flockulate sooner.
Flockulation is not clumping. If you stick two mud balls together thats
a clump, NO structure to it. Flockulation is the atoms, ions, and
molecules recombining into a new and different structure. The new
structure will change the color of the CS, as you have seen and noted.
Clear is not a good word to describe clarity of the fluid. The prefered
word is turbidity. It has its own meaning.
Would you like a good limiting regulator circuit?

 Subject: Starved Electrodes Technique

The Starved Electroded was discovered quite by accident while during
experiments for constructing current density tables. Any good meters
will be satisfactory, however I was using an RS model 174B LCD Digital
 Auto-ranging multimeter

  Hi Andy,

1.) I am not familiar with what the initials RS stands for.

  RS = Radio Shack

The thing to do is get the electrode potential at 13.3% above the
 electron ionization potential.

2.) Does this mean that the initial electrode voltage should be set for
 13.3% above theionization potential?

No. As current increases, you increase the series resistance until the
electrode potential is at 13.3% above the ioization potential. You need
to build up a pool of ionic silver in the water before you begin
applying the starved electrode technique.

I would select a current I wanted to run at,such as 3 ma ( in my case
that would be 4.5ua/mm2 of wetted electrode area) and keep the current
at 3ma or under during the run.

3.) When a strip of silver is used instead of wire do both sides of the
strip have the same current flow? Or does the side closest to the other
electrode have the most current? Should both sides be given the same weight
 in the area calculation.

Use total area of the wetted surface. Shape is not important. All sides
are equal in the current calculation.

Every 5 minutes stir the water CCW and record the current before and after
 stirring. Normally
after each stir the current will drop as the CS is dispersed from the
 vicinity of the electrodes.

 4.) Why CCW?

Natural way in northern hemisphere. Never go against nature. Stirring
creates a low pressure in the center, which is CCW in nature. You may
wish to look into the subject of natural water enhancing.

I use four sets of electrodes, located around the edge of the vessel.

5.) Is the spacing and orientation of the electrodes important? If they are
strips should they face each other and alternate + - etc.

I treat each pair of wires as an electrode set, each set is thought of
as operating independently of the others. My wire spacing is 3/4 of an
inch, if the other sets are over five spacings away very little
interaction is found between sets.

My stirring is in the middle of the CS solution.

6.) Can the solution be continuously stirred with a motor?

Intermittant stirring is required, otherwise no sawtooth will be
observed and you will not know when saturation has occured.

As the solution becomes saturated and the electrode voltage
reaches the target potential a strange thing will happen.

7.) I don't understand. I thought that the voltage was already set for the
correct value. Are you talking about the increasing electrode voltage due
to reduced current flow through the series resistor? Or is this something
 else?

See above, you work your way down to the target potential.

Once the the sawtooth reversals are evident the current will no longer
increase, it becomes self regulating. The CS ppm will level off and
 remain steady.

8.) If the solution was stirred continuously would the saw tooth reversal be
required for the process to function?

Without the sawtooth you will not know when saturation has occured.

I usually let it run another 30 minutes to ensure
complete saturation. The solution is now saturated, will not accept any
 more ions.

9.) I assume the electrode current is near zero?

Read above. The current becomes steady.

The ionic potential is now 13.3% above the ionization
 potential.

10.) Because the electrode current is zero?

Because the ions are being removed at the same rate they are being
created,(saturated),current is steady.
Suggest you put one together and do some hands on work. Best way to
learn.

Under this condition the ionic potential will cause the ppm to begin to rise
 when
external power is removed. The energy stored in the CS being used to
 continue the CS making process.

11.) How high will the ppm rise?

Depends on how much energy you have stored in the ionized solution.

Greeting Glorious Ones of CS,

A Test: Do not do this at home.

A few military friends of mine got together last week for the usual
yak-yak about military things.
The talk came around to the anthrax shots. I opened my mouth and said
they wouldn`t need them if all the military were taking CS.
A long discussion then went on, at the end we had decided to set up a
real he-man, macho, walk the walk test. Cold brew will do things
to normally intelligent people. This was not a smart thing to do, but
please consider who our small group is. One was me, Tai-Pan, ex-seal
from Nam, One ex-Army Ranger, Shannon, from Desert Storm, and one
ex-82nd Air Borne from Bosnia, Richard, (paratrooper). I`m the oldest,
they are young guys. The test was to eat rotten meat and see if the CS
would prevent problems. We agreed that if anyone became ill we would
wait for at least a 103f fever before taking CS. If it (the CS) did not
work we would go to the ER at a fever of 105f. The ER was only a few
blocks away at Poly Ryan Hospital. Then we decided that one, Richard,
would be the observer, and the other two would eat the rotten meat. Then
we decided that one meat would be treated with CS and one not.
OK, so here we go to Richard`s house and get the rotten meat he was
going to throw out, it smelled very bad and strong. Richard is baching,
so whats new. We made two patties of about 1/4 lb each, hamburger size.
One was put in a bowl and CS poured over it and kneeded well in the CS
and made into a patty again. The other one was untreated. We drew straws
to see who got each patty. I got the CS one and Shannon got the
untreated one. We ate them, with a little beer to blunt the taste of
them. Really macho. :-) Then we waited. After half an hour Shannon
developed a stomach ache, which proceeded to get worse. He had classical
symptoms of food poisoning (botulism). I did not develope any symptoms
at all. His temperature began to rise so we decided to use the CS right
away at about 101.5f. Gave Shannon four tablespoons of CS every 15
minutes for 90 minutes (1 1/2 hrs). Temperature held steady then began
dropping, gave CS at four tablespoons every 30 minutes, and by the end
of four hours he was feeling normal again. Continued CS at four
tablespoons once an hour until the end of six hours just to make sure
the botulism was gone. That was Saturday, now its Monday and still OK.
CS was 9ppm, active.
So whats it prove,(besides our dumb idea). Well, the CS treated meat
was rendered safe. Can treat rotten food in an emergency if need be with
CS and use it. Proved it would stop botulism. I usually take CS before
eating out anyway. Proved we shouldn`t drink so much at one time.
Now Richard and Shannon are using CS. :-) Now I feel better about them
and their health.

  Bless you Bob Lee

Re: CSSilver Protein? CS Site

1999-08-30 Thread Ivan Anderson
Lynn,
While Advantage Pharmaceuticals has done some very good
pioneering work in developing MSP protocols for treating Lyme
disease etc., I don't believe their product is any more effective
than CS or Silver Sols.
There are questions about the addition of protein stabilisers to
silver sols causing the cosmetic skin condition argyria. In my
reading of this matter, it would require massive doses of MSP to
achieve this outcome. However it seems prudent not to add
compounds, which are not necessary, to CS and raise the risk,
however slight, of some negative outcome.

They recommend 30 ppm because that is what they formulate, I
suspect.

Regards - Ivan.

Someone passed on to me a web site that had some interesting
silver info:

It's put out by a company trying to sell mild silver protein

wondering if there is something that we can do to the cs
solution that we
make ourselves to make it msp. Anyone know? They also
recommend using 30ppm
 minimum. Any comments?

Re: CSMaking CS

1999-08-30 Thread Ivan Anderson
Hello all,

As is to be expected, we are revisiting questions discussed in
the past, all be it with new angles and uncommon intelligence.
The essentials are the same, however.
How many volts, how many mAmps, how long, what concentration, how
much to take.
New investigators are paying their dues :-)

Because of the large number of variables one set of parameters
does not relate easily to another. It is pointless to attempt to
define the numbers for a system that simply has two electrodes
draped over the side of a glass. To have any meaning, the
generating container and electrode configuration must be defined.
To this end, I have posted the design of probably the simplest
generator possible, complete with generating configuration. Using
this, and assuming the quality of the distilled water is similar
(can be confirmed if DMM available), then a predictable outcome
is possible.

The simplest generator, that will produce quality CS with no fall
out or build up that does not require current limiting, is a 9
volt AC adaptor, a single 9 volt or 12 volt battery, or two 9
volt batteries.

I am happy to provide times of generation for different voltages
vs ppm, but this will only relate to the electrode configuration
of my earlier post, and assumes the use of distilled water of a
similar quality to that which I use.

RE: CSIon size was buying CS

1999-08-30 Thread James Osbourne, Holmes
Hi Ivan,

I concur with you on these issues, though I feel that my opinion is only
marginally qualified. I am getting a sense that the net effect of
attractive and repulsive forces are a function of particle proximity, which
is a function of concentration and particle size---when originally
separated from the electrode. Among many other factors, of course.

I think we need to give careful attention to noting if the dimension is
given as diameter or radius. I think I may have compared one with the
other at various times. Those simple little details give you a 100% error
in a blink.

What does Brooks Bradley know that causes him to prefer 5 PPM? Has anyone
ever asked? Brooks, if you see this, please comment.

If ions come off the electrode, how do they get together in larger groups
if they all have a + charge? If an ion already has a + charge, as a
valence, then what is the effect of the electron which gives a cluster a +
charge on a group of neutral atoms? A +2 charge? Ah, to spend a day with
a very experienced electrochemist...

I am going to get a flick of my silver bits as soon as I can get the
process a little more standardized and a wad of FRNs to pay for the scope.

Probably sometime this century.

Covalent radius is still larger than 1.26 A., at 1.34. If the
size is
1.26, that could be one atom only of ionic silver; not a
cluster of
atoms with a charge---regardless of the consequences of that.
And, 1.26
may be smaller than one silver ion.

I use web elements for reference: http://www.webelements.com/
who note that the covalent radius is 153 pm (1.53 A).
Yes, silver ions (Pauling radius of silver ion 1.26 A).
The electrophoretic method may be a better way to determine
particle size, due to the fact that samples for electron
microscopy must be dried before scanning, which possibly leads to
changes in particle structure. The electrophoretic method
measures the speed of particles under the influence of a
potential in a liquid medium (water). Then applies some
equations, to calculate the effective radius of the particle. The
size of the silver ion is found to have a radius of 0.145nm
(1.45 A) by this method.

When I made sol with 3 9V batts, a lot of it fell out of
solution, so some
of it must be quite a bit larger than 1.26 A.

There's the rub, whilst silver leaves the anode and enters the
sol as single ions, how long they stay discrete and in what form
they ultimately find equalibrium depends on the configuration of
the generating parameters. These are the very variables we
struggle with daily on the list. It can be assumed (in my
opinion) however, that few if any silver sols contain single ions
but rather particles of two or more ions.
Of course there are other particles which may enter the sol via
the cathode build up.

I want to see a picture of the stuff with a nm scale in it.
Does anyone
 have one?  I think there will be a wide range of sizes present;
and that
 could be a good thing.

You're not going to get one are you ;-)

published 1940 and earlier!!!

From what I've read of the hx. of CS, these instances are most likely
ground silver in suspension, not electrocolloidal silver like we make
today!

If this is such a serious problem TODAY, why is there no reference to cases
of argyria today SPECIFIC TO Electro-colloidal silver? (There are NONE in
the Fung article - Fung MC, Bowen DL: Silver Products for Medicinal
Indications: Risk - Benefit Assessment Clinical Toxicology, 34(l),
119-126(1996) despite how the abstracts would lead you to believe of it's
dangers. This is the article I've read in full that helped me decide to
take the risk.

The other modern day article is dated 1975. (Goodman LS, Gihnan A: The

Now think about it... what kind of silver product would have been used
widely from 1940-1975? My guess is prescription silver salts, not colloidal
silver! But from the title, it sounds like this article would focus on the
uses for silver. It'd probably be a good one for showing people there's
scientific evidence that silver is of therapeutic value! I'd like to track
down a copy of that article.

1999-08-30 Thread M. G. Devour
Katarina wrote:

I've been following the increasingly technical discussions of the
parameters for making CS with increasing awe at the the minds of
those of you who can figure out this stuff -- and I hope eventually
someone will summarize it all for those of us who are
 technologically handicapped.

Never fear! For someone claiming to be technologically impaired,
you've acquitted yourself handsomly below. g

But meanwhile I'm back to my quest to make the best CS I can with
the generator I already have, which is the Bob Beck Silver Pulser,
and I want to summarize what I think I know? and see if I got it
 or am way off base.

Okay, the silver pulser outputs a modest DC voltage that turns on and
off rather quickly, if I'm not mistaken. I don't know if the CS
generator hookup for it just lets you use the power supply directly
or if it uses the pulsed output. In either case, it will produce good
CS.

I assume that because my generator does not limit it's power it is
unlikely that I can make high ppm cs without making larger
 particles.

If you get the ppm up high enough, the current flow will increase and
you will start making larger particles. That is exactly right!

It seems to me that it is agreed that larger amounts of lower ppm cs
will have the same effect as small amounts of higher ppm cs
(although they might not be as easy to use for a sinus infection
because of having to get more up there).

Yes, you simply have to use *enough*, whatever that turns out to be
for you, your CS, and your condition. Using a spray bottle or nasal
inhaler for the sinuses as well as taking it by mouth will probably
work for you if my and others' results are an indication.
Concentration does not seem critical.

And it seems to me that smaller particle size probably means more
effective - unless you are going after larger bugs - so I'd rather
try to make smaller particle size at a lower ppm if necessary. Am I
accurate in assuming that if the cs I make is gold it will have
larger particles than if it is clear? So If I want smaller particles
I should run the generator for less time and get a clear sol.

There are two ways to get clear sol: 1) limit the current so that
the particle size never gets too big, 2) don't make your CS very
strong.

If the CS is gold then the particles will be bigger than the clear if
it was made with low current. But plenty of people have had fine
results with the golden, so don't dismiss it.

Of course your sol will start out clear and stay clear for a while,
until you get it strong enough to notice the color. Part of that is
because it is the low current part of the generating process before
the current ramps up, as you suspect, and part because it's just not
concentrated enough to see.

The irony is many of us started out making clear CS using salt and
people started hammering on it as being inferior to the golden CS.
Then the High Voltage AC advocates, (and now even the the Low Voltage
high tech folks) started belittling golden for not being clear like
theirs is!

Don't worry. What you're making will be just like the stuff many of
us have used with good results.

The clear sol has weaker tyndall - does that mean it probably has a
 lower ppm?

If it's been made with low current, long slow generation, then the
ppm might be even higher. In that case the tyndall is weak because
the particles just don't reflect in the visible spectrum and your
laser passes right through.

If it's weaker because you stopped sooner, then it's just weaker, or
possibly both small and weak.

If you let it run 'til you get noticeable color, you'll have probably
made a range of particle sizes, the largest of which should be okay
if you don't try to run too long.

I do know that I need to experiment with different waters and that
if I find a good one then I may be able to get stronger tyndall but
still have it be clear - correct?

To be clear, you'd have to limit the current enough not to start
making the bigger particles. Still, I'd not worry.

One way to tell the *relative* purity of your water is whether it
takes more or less time to start producing visible particles when
starting with plain water (no starter). Longer is purer.

Also, I think I am going to quit heating the water because it seems
to hurry the process and end up with it gold colored quicker - which
 means bigger particles?

Actually, Peter Lindemann, who is one of the folks who suggested
heating the water, said to do it because it resulted in *smaller*
particles, which he claims to have observed using electron microscopy
of samples.

It's not necessary, but doesn't hurt, and does speed things up.

And lastly, if I bend the silver wires so that they are further
apart it seems to take much longer for the tyndall to appear - is
this because it is much weaker for longer or is it because they are
 smaller particles?

Probably some of both? If they are really close together and you move
them to where

CSQuestions about making Cs

1999-08-30 Thread Kato109
Hi everyone,
I've been following the increasingly technical discussions of the parameters
for making CS with increasing awe at the the minds of those of you who can
figure out this stuff -- and I hope eventually someone will summarize it all
for those of us who are technologically handicapped.
But meanwhile I'm back to my quest to make the best CS I can with the
generator I already have, which is the Bob Beck Silver Pulser, and I want to
summarize what I think I know? and see if I got it or am way off base.

I assume that because my generator does not limit it's power it is unlikely
that I can make high ppm cs without making larger particles.

It seems to me that it is agreed that larger amounts of lower ppm cs will
have the same effect as small amounts of higher ppm cs (although they might
not be as easy to use for a sinus infection because of having to get more up
there).

And it seems to me that smaller particle size probably means more effective -
unless you are going after larger bugs - so I'd rather try to make smaller
particle size at a lower ppm if necessary.
Am I accurate in assuming that if the cs I make is gold it will have larger
particles than if it is clear? So If I want smaller particles I should run
the generator for less time and get a clear sol. The clear sol has weaker
tyndall - does that mean it probably has a lower ppm?
I do know that I need to experiment with different waters and that if I find
a good one then I may be able to get stronger tyndall but still have it be
clear - correct?

Also, I think I am going to quit heating the water because it seems to hurry
the process and end up with it gold colored quicker - which means bigger
particles?

And lastly, if I bend the silver wires so that they are further apart it
seems to take much longer for the tyndall to appear - is this because it is
much weaker for longer or is it because they are smaller particles?

And what about seeding the batch with old batches of cs? That also seems to
speed up the process - but is it likely to create larger particles?

Thanks in advance for the info -
Katarina

CSVikki's tinkering

1999-08-30 Thread Kato109
Hey Vikki,
I, for one, am very impressed by your tinkering and hope you continue to do
it because I think that the more we figure out the specifics of producing CS
in a reliable manner the better. And I certainly can't figure it out.
But what if it turns out that larger particles are better for some things,
and smaller for others - then your work will be very useful. And my
experience was that all cs was not the same . My homemade cs did not clear up
my sinus infection, while the storebought did. I don't know whether it was
because it had smaller particles or a much higher ppm and I therefore used
much more. (by the way, for the friend you are dosing, everything I've read
indicates that it doesn't matter how diluted your cs is - just how much you
use - so your friend should be able to dilute it in as much juice as he/she
wants to hide the taste as long as he/she sticks to the same doseage.Only it
depends on where you were trying to get it to - for sinuses it works so well
to hold it on your tongue and let it absorb into the local blood stream, but
that's harder to do with a low ppm)
Anyhow, just wanted to say thanks for tinkering.

CSmold/cs test

1999-08-30 Thread Kato109
Thanks to everyone who answered me about my mold test.
I guess I realized that, as Nancy said, I don't really know what it would
look like if the cs killed the mold - and that I was sort of expecting it to
disappear. And I didn't put enough for it to turn pink, like Taylor's did.
Now, if I'd had Wong's response - that the mold died wherever the cs touched
it - then I would have been happy - since I expected it to need contact for a
while in order to kill it. Wong - I think yours was working if it killed it
on direct contact.
So, now I'm trying a new experiment instead -- I drew lines of cs on a piece
of bread and put it in with the mold. So we'll see if it gets moldy in
stripes!
Anyhow, thanks everyone and I'll report back.
Take care,
Katarina
Ps. James Allison - I think Sam answerd your question? anyhow, it was my
assumption that if the cs kills fungus it should kill mold if it was working.
