Re: CS>Sprains, anyone?
Dear Mr. Earle. Several years ago we conducted some rather detailed research on sprains and other related type muscle trauma. We evaluated a number of different protocols. Of all the natural/herbal type substances evaluated...salves containing Arnica Montana were the most effective. However, by far, the most effective protocol, overall, was the implementation of a modified Bob Beck type Magnetic Pulser. This device was the only modality that resulted both in immediate trauma relief.and site reduction. This protocol (a minimum of 5 minutes at approximately 1 pulse per second) was very effective in 15 out of 16 cases, with the 16th case (80 yro male) exhibiting an acceptable response, plus complete swelling reduction within 8 hours. In some cases total pain relief was achieved after three exposures (5 minutes each) over a period of 2 hours. This procedure turned out to be a splendid protocol for many types of deep-seated "soft-tissue" trauma. I posted a summary of our work sometime last year. I hope this is of use to you. Sincerely. Brooks Bradley. p.s. I would have answered your post earlier, but have been away the past four days. Sam Earle wrote: > Does anyone have a natural, effective, fast remedy for a sprained > ankle? CS>methicillin
Hi everybody, was just reading medscapes question of the day, and thought some of you might like to see it... In what year was methicillin introduced, and how soon after were resistant strains of Staphylococcus aureus discovered? Methicillin was introduced in 1960, and resistant strains of Staphylococcus aureus were discovered as early as 1961. In 1941, penicillin G was introduced to the medical world. By 1945, researchers had isolated resistant strains of bacteria. Other antibiotics were discovered throughout the 1950s, but bacterial resistance shortly followed. Methicillin, the first beta-lactamase-stable penicillin, was introduced in 1960. A methicillin-resistant strain of Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) was reported as early as 1961. Resistance has increased over the past 3 decades. Certain studies have reported that up to 30% of the S aureus isolates from patients in tertiary care centers have been methicillin-resistant. These strains of S aureus have plasmids that carry genes conferring resistance to many antibiotics. They are sensitive to the broad-spectrum antibiotic vancomycin. But recently, cases of reduced susceptibility to vancomycin have been reported. Source: MRSA Strikes a Child Care Center. OK, Silverlisters, here`s my contribution to the ha has for today!! Love, Marsha in Vallejo Sing to the tune of "Modern Major General" I am the very model of a Newsgroup personality. I intersperse obscenity with tedious banality. Addresses I have plenty of, both genuine and ghosted too, On all the countless newsgroups that my drivel is cross-posted to. Your bandwidth I will fritter with my whining and my snivelling, And you're the one who pays the bill, downloading all my drivelling. My enemies are numerous, and no-one would be blaming you For cracking my head open after I've been rudely flaming you. I hate to lose an argument (by now I should be used to it). I wouldn't know a valid point if I was introduced to it. My learning is extensive but consists of mindless trivia, Designed to fan my ego, which is larger than Bolivia. The comments that I vomit forth, disguised as jest and drollery, Are really just an exercise in unremitting trollery. I say I'm frank and forthright, but that's merely lies and vanity, The gibberings of one who's at the limits of his sanity. If only I could get a life, as many people tell me to; If only Mom could find a circus freak-show she could sell me to; If I go off to Zanzibar to paint the local scenery; If I lose all my fingers in a mishap with machinery; If I survive to twenty, which is somewhat problematical; If what I post was more mature, or slightly more grammatical; If I could learn to spell a bit, and maybe even punctuate; Would I still be the loathsome and objectionable punk you hate? But while I have this tiresome urge to prance around and show my face, It simply isn't safe for normal people here in cyberspace. RE: CS>Ion size was buying CS
Hi Ivan, Thanks much for the links. The Tanner's site is a great resource. Very concise and practical. I am short-handed at the Plumbing Co. and have little time to work on the silver. I continue to have difficulties adjusting the start conductivity of the water. My incoming tap water has inexplicably changed from about 230 PPM TDS to 24. Our City system is fed by a mixture from a rainwater reservoir blended with several wells with about 14 grains hardness. The still feedwater is supplied by a residential RO unit. It previously has been putting out about 24 PPM and is now down to 11. This has dropped the still output to between 0.1 and 0.2 PPM. This reduces the yield. I have been attempting to adjust start conductivity with CaCO3, a saturated solution which over months continues to rise in PPM, now stabilized at almost 50 PPM. However, when I use this, a bit too much of it causes a runaway (current?) process toward the end of 2.5 hour runs, resulting in beautiful delicate turbinate ( 3 D spirals) pale tan clouds, and some fallout. Sometimes just gray. Also, the electrode plate is much blacker and has faint yellow blotches after a run. Bruce is puzzled. My machine/water is the only one he has seen which does not yield about 10 PPM in 1.5 hours. An unknown ancestor of mine must have disturbed the wrong tomb. At 2.5 hours, I get between 7 and 9 PPM. Can you recommend any resource to find the specific technique for particle size UV absorption tests? Your RGB unit sounds like a good tool. When I get a particle size test(s) made---by whatever method---I could send you a sample to try with the device which might be the beginning of a calibration. Thank you very much for responding to my questions, and let me know whenever it becomes too much of a distraction from your own interests. Its a matter of timing the migration of an ion across a field as viewed under a microscope and then plugging the numbers. This looks interesting also: http://www.che.wsu.edu/modules/berquist/electrophoresis.html but may not be of much use. Yes spectrophotometry should work, once calibration has been established. I have made a small immersible unit which uses an RGB led and photodiode, but which is not of much use in definitive measurement until I can find a cheapish way to establish particle size. A non-antibiotic drug habit is whole lot more fun too, so I've been told... Re: CS>Ion size was buying CS
James, go here : http://www.tannerm.com/electrochemistry/ion_speeds/IonSpeeds.htm Sorry about the math :-/ I don't know who could conduct these measurements, but Zeta potential can be measured in a similar manner. CS>OT, God's getting better
The little girl was sitting in her grandfather's lap as he read her a goodnight story. From time to time, she would take her eyes off the book and reach up and touch his wrinkled cheek. By and by, she was alternately stroking her own cheek and then his again. Finally, she spoke: "Granddaddy, did God make you?" "Yes, Sweetheart," he answered; "God made me, a long time ago." "Oh," she said. Then, "Granddaddy, did God make me, too?" "Yes, indeed, Honey," he assured her. "God made you, just a little while ago." "Oh," she said. Feeling their respective faces again, she observed, "God's getting better at it now, isn't He? --- EnjoyBless you Bob Lee -- oozing on the muggy shore of the gulf coast l...@fbtc.net -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver. CS>Another Zapper schematic
Hello. If you're thinking about building your own Zapper, you might check out this "free" circuit. Note it's designed for multiple users, but by using just one of the multiple outputs and deleting the others, it now becomes a "single-user" Zapper. Note also it uses a much lower frequency, around 3kHz, not the 30kHz Hulda Clark's original Zapper circuit used. Recent tests seem to indicate a much lower frequency from 30kHz is more effective. The circuit is simple and parts are available from any of the normal mail-order electronics houses (Digi-Key, Mouser, Jameco, TechAmerica,etc.). I've built this circuit for my own experimentation, and it worked just fine for me. I decreased the output series resistor to 100 ohms from the original 1kohms to give a hotter output. I built it in a small throwaway clear plastic box I had sitting around; in fact it will fit in my shirt pocket. For electrodes I used a small square of aluminum foil with the end of the wire stripped back and the foil wrapped around the bare wire end, then the whole think covered with a small piece of cotton cloth that you dip in salt water before use. I use wrist bands with the electrodes inserted under each band, placed over the artery where you normally feel your pulse on the inside of the wrist. With a wrist-to-wrist area for the zapping to occur in, I believe that gives a good coverage. I use my Beck-circuit zapper the same way, for the past year, with no problems. Of course you could use the Clark-recommended copper pipe handheld electrodes, but that forces you to do nothing while holding the electrodes during the zapping period. With the wrist positioning, I can walk around, type, fix dinner, etc., while getting my daily dose of "zapping"! Your particular body might not like the hotter zapping current by using the 100 ohm output resistor--you might be advised to start with the original circuit's 1000ohm output resistor. If you have any electronics construction skills, you can make your own zapper yourself for well under $20., plus it's a nice feeling to use something you built yourself, just like your CS generator you may have built! Oh yes, you're probably wondering where to find this Zapper circuit: http://www.adcomtronics.com/bigzap.htm Note: if a recent post about boycotting alleged Satanist activities offended you, then be advised the author of the BigZapper circuit makes no effort to hide the fact he's a Christian. You might be offended by this one, too. Steve -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver. Good stuff Ivan... Could you direct me to basic info on "The electrophoretic method may be a better way to determine particle size,..." I have seen the term but cannot recall how it works. How does the price compare with TEMs?---tests, of course, not the instrument. Also, Bob Berger said that one method of determining particle size is to measure absorption in the UV range with a Spectrophotometer. Are you familiar with that technique? If I can get TEM pix of my size, I might be able to correlate that with UV Spec. readings in some rough sort of way...enough to verify that I am producing a good sol. Perhaps. Of course that means buying a new tube and filter for the old Spectronics 20. Sometimes I think it would be easier to have a non-antibiotic drug habit... If the size is > 1.26, that could be one atom only of ionic silver; not a cluster of > atoms with a charge---regardless of the consequences of that. And, 1.26 > may be smaller than one silver ion. I use web elements for reference: http://www.webelements.com/ who note that the covalent radius is 153 pm (1.53 A). Yes, silver ions (Pauling radius of silver ion 1.26 A). The electrophoretic method may be a better way to determine particle size, due to the fact that samples for electron microscopy must be dried before scanning, which possibly leads to changes in particle structure. The electrophoretic method measures the speed of particles under the influence of a potential in a liquid medium (water). Then applies some equations, to calculate the effective radius of the particle. The size of the silver ion is found to have a radius of 0.145nm (1.45 A) by this method. > When I made sol with 3 9V batts, a lot of it fell out of solution, so some > of it must be quite a bit larger than 1.26 A. There's the rub, whilst silver leaves the anode and enters the sol as single ions, how long they stay discrete and in what form they ultimately find equalibrium depends on the configuration of the generating parameters. These are the very variables we struggle with daily on the list. It can be assumed (in my opinion) however, that few if any silver sols contain single ions but rather particles of two or more ions. Of course there are other particles which may enter the sol via the cathode build up. > I want to see a picture of the stuff with a nm scale in it. Does anyone > have one?
