Also ask them how they did the tests. Something as low as 10 to 20 PPM isn't easy to get accurate results. Titration doesn't cut it IMO Little pieces of paper compared to charts won't cut it. I sent samples the the NC State Department of Natural Resources Water Lab. All they do is water and then only for state agencies. [I know a receptionist there who snuck the samples in under the table] I don't believe the results at 45.5 PPM. average of 3 testing rounds. I would believe around 20 or less. Re: CSMy startling allergy discovery
VERY interesting Daddy Bob. Allergies are a pet topic of mine, mostly trying to get over them! Corn is indeed one of the most allergenic foods, right behind wheat. Some think it is due to genetic manipulation. Dunno, but avoiding it is difficult. I am also a GRIT (Girl Raised in the South) -- so I know what you mean. I plant to track my worst allergy days with any corn I eat -- I do avoid it but those organic white corn chips are so yummy with fresh pico! An interesting aspect to food allergies is that it releases adrenaline -- and what does that do, initially -- it makes us feel energetic and good! Sounds like a conspiracy theory in the making, eh? Have you ever noticed any effect on allergies from regularly taking CS? I do use it in my nose with DMSO in a spray and nebulize the same solution. I know it helps me avoid secondary opportunistic infections in the mucous, but I wonder if CS could have an immune boosting effect, you know lightening the load and all? Now that I have colds and flus under control with CS it is even more obvious how much my allergies bring me down. Mold has been very high for months now in Central Texas and it is costing me time and energy. I am starting today taking Colloidal Gold as well as my regular CS. I am going to watching my allergy symptoms closely for any effect. Garnet -- The Silver List is a moderated forum for discussing Colloidal Silver. That is very interesting. I remember reading, in the ingredients list of a prostate supplement formula which was being advertised through the mail, about one of the additives - which I believe was herbal in origin - which was supposed to block the conversion of testosterone into dihydrotestosterone. Hello, I'm new to this list, but want to say, I haven't had any sinous infections since using CS. I use Source Naturals 30ppm throat spray in my palm, dilute with a little water and then swab it around my nasal passages with my small finger. Doesn't sound very delicate, but it works like a charm! I've studied Ayurvedic medicine for years. Silver is cooling and drying, that's why I dilute it a little (I know, I can't therefore give a ppm, but this works for me), so it won't dry the nasal passages too much. However, for a cold you might want to dry up a bit. S. sol sol...@sweetwaterhsa.com wrote: Doesn't a mix of CS with Xylitol do the same thing as regards mucous? CSRe powder for noses re allergies
Here is a site that sounds good for allergy and pollen sufferers. a new study from Greece shows SneezEze to be useful in the treatment of chronic allergies that can make life miserable all year 'round. -- Perennial relief -- The study was led by Konstantinos Vlahtsis, M.D., professor of allergies at Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki, Greece. Dr. Vlahtsis and his team recruited 40 subjects (16 men and 24 women) who were diagnosed with perennial allergic rhinitis, which means that their allergies can occur at any time, and may be triggered by any of a variety of factors, such as dust mites, pet dander, smoke, pollen, etc. All of the subjects had previously addressed their symptoms with pharmaceuticals (such as antihistamines or decongestants), and agreed to refrain from using any of these medications during the six-week study period. Subjects were instructed to use SneezEze once daily - either in the morning or at the time of day when their symptoms usually occurred. Four symptoms (sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes, and watery eyes) were evaluated for each subject before the study began, again at three weeks, and a final time at six weeks. A scale of one to five was used to measure symptoms, with one representing zero improvement of symptoms, and five representing complete relief and an absence of symptoms. The results: * At three-weeks, 45 percent of the subjects reported either complete or major relief * At six-weeks, 90 percent reported at least some improvement in their symptoms * More than 75 percent reported either complete or major relief * An additional 15 percent reported noticeable relief of allergy symptoms * Less than 3 percent reported no improvement Dr. Vlahtsis' study will be published in an upcoming issue of a Greek rhinology journal. What every nose needs SneezeEze was originally formulated by Mike James to help his son find relief from chronic sneezing attacks. After much trial and error, Mike came up with a completely organic powdered plant extract, which created a gel when it came into contact with moisture. Observing that the gel was very similar to mucus, he had his son sniff the powder into his nose, and the sneezing stopped immediately. When I was first introduced to Mike (by e-mail - he lives in England), he explained that when people are allergic to pollen and other airborne pollutants, their bodies aren't supplying enough mucus to properly filter air as it goes through the nasal passages. As a result, allergens make contact with the sinuses and lungs, triggering wheezing, sneezing, and other unpleasant reactions. Nasaleze simply and naturally generates a substitute for the missing mucous, which protects sensitive areas. - Counting pollen -- -- The Silver List is a moderated forum for discussing Colloidal Silver. The article I read (link is in the archives, I'm sure, it was posted originally by Brooks Bradley, IIRC), says to use a glycerin free, lotion free soap. A very plain soap in other words. I have a Sallye Ander Myrrh soap that works well, any aftertaste is very short lasting. Tom's of Maine soap worked well too, but left more aftertaste, and foamed more. Follow with a diluted peroxide rinse, then rinse and hold EIS for a couple minutes, and you will not only have very clean teeth, but no more tooth sensitivity. sol Dennis Gulenchin wrote: Hi Paul, I'm curious as to what kind of soap you use to brush your teeth with? Re: CStooth brushing with soap
I just ordered some tooth soap from a site that makes all kinds of natural soaps. They do use CS in some of their products and will custom formulate. The tooth soap was very reasonable. The soap factory. http://www.gogoatsoap.com/products.htm A tooth soap with CS in it might be a nice way to go. I first used tooth soap from another source, it was $20 for 4 oz, a 3 month supply, very pricey. http://www.thecompounder.com/PerfectRx1.html I do like the results and can use about half of what they say to get a good cleaning effect. My teeth stay much cleaner for longer without all the glycerin in toothpaste. The taste is almost undetectable to me. If I use less than the recommended amount I notice almost zero taste and I am pretty sensitive to tastes and smells. Soap taste is sensed on the back of the tongue so it is recommended not to brush the back of the tongue with the soap. Garnet -- The Silver List is a moderated forum for discussing Colloidal Silver.
