   Mike,

Thanks for the helpful suggestions, especially about the
   throw-away e-mail addresses.

You're welcome. I hope the information is helpful:)

Baffling that someone using the list would be motivated to
tailor-make infected messages, as several of us have evidently
received. I am glad to hear, though, that my observations seem to
correspond to the reality. One doesn't want to find oneself
becoming unduly paranoid, though a bit of paranoia may have some
survival value these days. . .

   JBB

These people can send malicious email by forging their email header
to hide their identity. There is a slim chance the problem may be
solved soon, if an agreement can be reached with Microsoft on patent
  issues.

The most recent article I can find is on Slashdot: RMS Weighs In On
  SPF/Sender-ID License (144 kbytes)

  http://it.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=04/07/25/1343228tid=111tid=117tid=109

The issues are a bit complicated and hard to follow due to the habit
of the Slashdot crowd to reach conclusions without collecting the
facts. But with luck, reason will prevail and an effective agreement
  will be implemented.

Then, maybe within 24 hrs, spam will finally come to an end. Keep
  your fingers crossed:)

Best Wishes,

Mike Monett

I don't think it is a diabolical person who is on the list that is
attacking the list maliciously. Most of the bad emails have been infected
with various worms. These worms were cleverly written to not only harvest
email addresses from its victim but it also harvests the emails themselves
and creates emails based on content it finds in the email it harvests.
Occams razor tells me that likely one or more people on our list have been
infected with one of the new cleverly written worms.

   Dave

Good point, Dave. It could be a worm. You'd think if it was a worm,
more people on the list would get these emails. But they only seem
to affect one or two people at a time.

I tried to send several emails to the sender's address. They were
all different, and they all bounced. It is true a worm could fake an
address, but in order to create the most havoc, they generally leave
the address valid so people would blame an innocent person. On the
other hand, a malicious sender would definitely fake his return
  address to avoid detection.

And how would a worm know that Jonathan was interested in Flax Oil?

The last time this phrase occurs in the subject line is Jonathan's
post titled CSEPA/DHA (Fish Oil, Flax Oil) on 8 Oct 2001:

http://escribe.com/health/thesilverlist/m40762.html

A worm would not search the list archives and locate a phrase that
would be of interest to Jonathan. Also, he received his virus
recently. So it's hard to tell for sure, but I tend to lean towards
an individual as the source of these messages.

But, as in everything associated with the internet, always practice
  save hex:)

Turn off javascript, and disable html. All of these help a virus
writer gain access to your computer. Although there are many methods
available that don't need any user action to load a virus.

The safest is to follow the recommendations of many groups, and
don't use Microsoft products on the internet. They will never fix
all the holes in their products.

Use Firefox instead of MS Explorer, and any of the numerous email
  clients instead of Outlook.

And be very careful of attachments. Perhaps someone knows of a
scanner that can check email attachments for executables and delete
  them.

But I don't have to worry - they won't even run on my system:)

Best Wishes,

Mike Monett

Also it is hellaciously difficlult to get the hulls off of green
picked nuts, and you will bruise the hulls doing it thus damaging
them and they will then turn black. I have been picking walnuts all
my life, I grew up on a tree farm. Brickey is right that balck walnut
hulls stain really badly. If you want to dye with it it does not
require a mordant. Use an Iron pot to boil it in and you will get a
reasonably black dye.
In a message dated 8/8/2004 10:15:24 AM Pacific Daylight Time,
mdud...@king-cart.com writes:

Huh? With the good stuff in the hull, why not just soak the hulls.
It allows you to put many more hulls in a given size container, and
in any given amount of PGA or Vodka

If you do decide to peel off the green hulls, you may consider
wearing gloves as it does stain really badly. It also takes more
than the usual time for the stains to fade, if I recall correctly.
If any juice gets on any clothing, the stain will be pronounced and
permanent. pj

Also, one fifth of Vodka Black Walnut tincture lasts me a couple
years. I have no need to make even more. I don't want to keep it
too long as it might loose its strength. Every now and then I take
two teaspoons on an empty stomach to keep my bug population low.
Damaged hulls turn black pretty quick, that is why I said to pick
them from the tree instead of picking up dropped nuts. They would
be black within 72 hours.

That's true too. I would've pciked them off the tree if I had a
ladder tall enough. My tincture is black, and turned that way within
48 hours.

Sharon
The dropped nuts all have black hulls. People were advertising
Green black walnut tincture. The walnuts have to be picked for the
tincture to have the green tint. They seemed to downrate a black
tincture as not quite as potent.

Re: CSLED Array Address please!

Here you go Doug.
Tel Tofflemire
Dewey, AZ.

The array is a 660nm red array 36 LED and a 880nm infrared 36 LED. The
red is rated at 2500mcd fo each LED. The infrared I'm not sure of. I did
several 10-20min seesions with the red LEDs in each eye. Sometimes I
closed my eyes , sometimes I kept them open. As I looked at the red LEDs
the color seemed to change from red to yellow to green. Then finally
when I finished the color seemed to be almost blue for a few minutres
afterward. I assume this is because the rods and cones were
overstimulated by the bright LEDs. I'm sure this would be considered
radical and dangerous by many. After hearing about people sungazing with
no ill effects I decided to try the LED array.
The 880nm infrared array has been beneficail for my back injury with
only 1 20min session. My wifes knee injury requied several 20min
sessions to bring relief to her knee. My liver pain is about 10% of what
it was as a result of several 20min sessions with the infrared.

I bought the array from http://www.theledman.net/

Garnet states that I am another person because i have a similar

The facts are there, I drew the conclusion. You are free to disagree, but can
you prove your identity? This would cut to the chase and end the identity issue.

 Instead of giving usefull information,
Garnet seems to give personal attacks on people or posts she does not
 agree with..

Search the archives for my posts. I either attack people or I don't, there is
no seems to about it. They are either useful or they are not. I do believe
most here would perceive my posts as useful and not as attacking people. I will
attack ideas, and there is nothing wrong with that, I am trained to call bull

Here is an axiom of logic that states; The burden of proof
is on the one stating a proposition, not the one defending it

So prove your statement about toxic effects of Gold. You can't because there
are none demonstrated, documented or published.

 The
Physician's desk reference states this concerning Gold. Gold is taken
up by macrophages with resultant inhibition of phagocytosis and
inhibition of activities of lysosomal enzymes In simple terms this is
immune suppression. It further states that adverse reactions due to
gold therapy may occur at anytime during treatment or many months after
therapy has been discontinued. Adverse reactions
 categories listed are:cutaneous,dermatitis
stomatitis,= pulmonary injury,= and renal problems any
competent Rheumatologist can tell you the adverse affects of Gold
 therapy.The PDR is
not doom and Gloom, it is written by PharmD,Mds,DSc and several other
tMDs As far as silver is concerned,Silver protein can result in
 argyria, not colloidal silver.

Just checked the 10th Edition of Goodman and Gilman's Pharmacological Basis of
Therapeutics, the standard reference on pharmacology in this country and around
the world, just to be sure. The only Gold that has shown the above effects are
gold compounds, not colloidal or elemental gold as you stated. There is no
mention of gold that is not a gold compound which have a vastly different
chemistry in the body than elemental gold which is regularly ingested as a food
product around the world, as well as consumed therapeutically. There are no
reports of toxicity that I can find.

Perhaps you would like to provide them since you feel that the burden of proof
is on the one stating a proposition.

CScomputer virii and worms

2004-08-10 Thread Shirley Reed
Recently I passed by my computer monitor. The screen was blue and it said
rewriting line so and so and then another and another, etc. After this, the
poor thing was so messed up no amount of restoring the system did much good.
So we wound up with a new hard drive, a lighter wallet, and no saved messages

the lines of code (I presume it was code--only thing I know of that goes with
'lines of') would be rewritten otherwise. I am continuing to get attachments
with emails that I report to yahoo as spam and of course don't open. Most of

The only death I am aware of due to deliberate administration of Ag was
two large dogs who were shot up IV with a gram each of powdered silver.
Yes, they died.

Let's see the papers cited by the author.

I glanced at that link's paper. When I found the part about no
diffusion through menbranes, I quit. Colloidal silver kills Lyme and
Malaria; both intracellular organisms. It kills Herpes, an organism
that hides within the nuclear membrane.

I went no further. The tone of the article led me to believe there was a
commercial intent. I can smell it a mile away. I'll bet it is silver
salts or compounds that is mentioned in the details, not pure metallic
silver. If it is pure silver, it is probably massive industrial overdose
from breathing the dust. A quick search for the title brought up this:

I value anecdotal information greatly, if that is what you mean by
semi-hard. But it is not hard science and should not be so construed.
However a person can serve as their own control, before and after type
studies are scientific and often published in peer reviewed journals,
particularly where conditions do not lend themselves to a double blind
study.

Again Goodman and Gilman references gold compounds not elemental gold.

I don't think it is a diabolical person who is on the list that is
attacking the list maliciously. Most of the bad emails have been
infected with various worms. These worms were cleverly written to
not only harvest email addresses from its victim but it also
harvests the emails themselves and creates emails based on content
it finds in the email it harvests. Occams razor tells me that
likely one or more people on our list have been infected with one

 Mike Monett

As I was stating something that legally could be 'attacked' by a large

In my opinion their opinion was transparent and that's why I questioned it

I do not want something that was misread and taken out of context which is
in conflict which what I believe attributed to me then circulated on the net
as something I said or I believe in.

However a person can serve as their own control, before and after type

Re: CSvirus reaction

2004-08-10 Thread Christine Carleton
If so, as the Universe brings balance, thus you would expect to see the iPod
be the disaster of the century, and the stocks collapsing for their
underhanded 'poker playing' in the computer world. It's not happening.

Thus on the other hand, one may question why there are so many viruses?
Perhaps there has been some manipulation of 'folks'.

As one CEO of a major US car manufacturer said (sorry forgot the co.) if
they produced cars that had to be renewed every year, and the last
program/car was out dated the consumer public would rebel.

Alas, I'm just glad we have computers, and the internet to share valuable
information that was previously inaccessible to us and the domain of wealthy
individuals, corporations or governments.

Aha! Maybe the Apple company is spreading these viruses so they will sell
 more Macs? :)

Re: CSLED Array Address please!

2004-08-10 Thread Christine Carleton
SOMETIMES knee pain is related to the kidney and bladder meridians
'screaming' evening causing one to limp. If so, it's the body's way of
slowing down the 'human vehicle' because there is concern by the divine body
about stress within the heart. You might want to check to make sure the
'ticker' is working optimally. Classical Chinese acupuncture which treats
the heart and allows the knee pain to prevail while the 'repairs' of the
heart pump take place. When the pulses are stronger, the knees are
addressed. In allopathic medicine we do surgery, which
http://www.mercola.com/2002/nov/23/needless_surgeries.htm indicated knee
surgery is a 3 billion dollar scam in the US. Curious how often people then
have heart problems show up about a year later. Oh well, it's whatever
system we choose to buy... Cleansing, which we can all do is 'cheap'.

Would some kind Lister let me have the site address for the Red LED
Arrays ? recently shown by the list. The prices looked reasonable!

 Thanks, Douglas H
