I read somewhere that R-fraction ALA is suppose to be much better? Is it? Or
is just a money making thing because it is more expensive...

This is from Swanson's website:
http://www.swansonvitamins.com/ProductDisplay/catalogId/10051/productId/16411/R/12803&saleCatalogId=10051

You can also Google R-fraction ALA and read about it as well.

Thanks in advance.

FYI... I'm not sure, but in my search to find out what my feet and hands
"thing" is and to provide myself some relief, I *think* I may have peripheral
neuropathy. So, mostly because of the posts regarding Alpha Lipoic Acid from
Brooks Bradley and forwarded to the list last week, on Saturday I purchased
Spring Valley brand of Alpha Lipoic Acid 100 mg from Walmart (other ingredients
listed: rice powder, gelatin, vegetable magnesium stearate). It cost just
over $4.00 for a 60 capsule bottle. Any ideas if this brand is the best, and
if not, any suggestions on other brands?

On Saturday, I took 200 mg twice (once after lunch and once after supper).
I took 200 mg doses after each of 3 meals on Sunday. I decided to ramp it up a
bit and took 300 mg after each of 3 meals on Monday, Tuesday, and will do so
today as well (for a total of 900 mg over the course of each day). Normally I
only have two meals per day, but decided to add in a very small meal in order
to take the ALA (I read it can cause tremendous heartburn if taken on an empty
stomach). I'm also wondering what your opinions might be on upping the doses
even more, for how long, what a maintenance dose might be, etc., etc., etc.

Now I could be jumpin the gun here, BUT my feet seem to be maybe 50% better
today, while I've only noticed minimal improvement in my hands. I hesitate to
give myself and others false hope, but it is definitely helping - I didn't
expect any relief nearly this fast!! I have not resumed taking MMS yet, as I
am in the middle of a bowel cleanse so that I can follow that with a
liver/gallbladder cleanse. I will probably start back with the MMS when I
finish with the cleanses. And now I'm reading that the ALA could also help
with liver issues. So that should be an added bonus as I go through my
cleanses.

Just thought I'd share this for those of you with neuropathy issues. I
don't have either type of diabetes, but have read where this is a side issue
experienced by some diabetics. I'm going to forward this to the CS list, so I

2008-01-30 Thread Starshar
I've got a herd of a dozen or so deer romping around here daily. I got Lyme in
'01 partly because of my bad habit of walking around my patch of woods
barelegged and barefooted.
Unwilling to change my "Daisy Mae" attire, I made my own tick repellants.

In a spray bottle half filled with water I put in a 'bunch' of drops of
peppermint oil. Just to confuse the ticks, and amuse myself, I keep 2 other
bottles, one with tea tree oil in the water, and the other with palmarosa. The
last is because I actually read somewhere that palmarosa repels ticks. I use
any one of these at a time.

I keep these bottles near the door out of the garage which is where I exit to
walk the dog around. That way, I figure, I have a better chance of remembering
to spritz this stuff all over right before I go into tick heaven out there.

So far, no tick bites, though I did find 3 on me last year but they weren't
'biting'. Considering that I've got at least 120 'barefoot days', I'm thinking
my repellants work!

Hi,
I'm not Bob, but I have the el cheapo model Love distiller, and I do
use the DW for drinking, coffee, tea, humidifiers, ice, and cooking when
I have enough. I don't add minerals to it, as I feel I get plenty from
diet and supplements. And I take some DE too. I have some allergy
problems from certain minerals in multi mineral supplements, such as
Concentrace, but I might well use that if I could. It would spoil the
taste of the DW for me, though, as I like it as it is.

Of course you're right, pure silver would be better for being non-toxic,
but for jewelry is it ever used? I don't think I've ever seen a label
stating pure silver on jewelry. If that was what was meant that would be
great! Is it too soft for jewelry? Or just expensive.

Could anyone point me in the direction of reliable information about other
colloidal metals, gold, copper, zinc? Is it the ionic part in them that is
more effective than the colloidial part? Are there known side
effects? Turning green rather than blue for example? I have no signs of
turning blue and I have been taking "cs" for a few years and on
occasion more than a litre a day of home made with distilled water and
nothing else added except a little "cs" to start the process 10ppm
(silvergen).
Personally I have tried colloidal gold in very small doses and I most
certainly felt some benefit, but that could have been me thinking about how
much it cost and willing it to have some positive effect :-) ( I am Scottish

I have a one of these love distillers. I like it and use it a lot.
Only thing I found is I get better Quality if I only fill it up with 3
quarts instead of 4.
I think when I fill it up the level is too close to the condenser unit
on top and some minerals get through.
I clean it with Vinegar and also just periodically let it boil for a
while, pull plug let it cool and pour out water.
This helps keep minerals from building up so bad in bottom boiler.

2008-01-30 Thread Ruth Bertella
I dunno, but. for the last week or so, I have been adding 8 to 12 drops
Magnascent to approx. 2 oz. of CS usually twice a day - just to get both in at
one time. I mix the two, then hold and swish a couple separate mouthfuls, then
swallow. In other words, I mix and use each "dose" immediately. I do NOT mix
a large "batch" ahead of time for several days use.

I don't have a clue if it helps or hinders, but was trying to combine things
where I could to keep from having to take so many different things separately.
Please keep me posted on any findings. And as always, all suggestions/opinions
are most welcome!

Thanks!

Tea tree oil repels mosquitoes. It may help with ticks. I would try putting it
on in small dabs at perfume points. It also keeps head lice off kids at
schools. My nieces and nephews were the only kids who never got head lice. They
used a shampoo with a dab of tea tree in it.

Re: CS>Sciatica

2008-01-30 Thread Nenah Sylver
Michael,

You doubtless already know that every organ, gland, tissue in the body has its
own resonance, or electromagnetic radiation signature. If you brought down this
EM radiation by many octaves, that radiation would be in the acoustic range of
the human ear, and we would be able to hear this radiation as notes. (Actually,
the EM radiation emitted by healthy tissue would be more like musical notes;
while the radiation emitted by unhealthy tissue would be more like disharmonic
sound.) Electromedicine, then, is similar to sound therapy: you have to know
how to use it properly.

When taking amino acids, you want to make sure they are in balance. If someone
is deficient in some amino acids and not others, you want to know which ones,
so you can bring the person back into balance. The same holds true with B
Vitamins. Taking only one or two B Vitamins exclusively in supplement form will
unbalance the others.

My question is, how do you know that Dianne's system isn't already resonating
too strongly in C# or G#, or in C and G?

I use the tuning forks on the nerves themselves. You don't need to do much. The
body vibrates itself. You can always thwack the fork on the thigh before
placing it on either side of the neck on the nerve itself. That might be
painful for some. It is relaxing to me. As I mentioned, the actual fork you
need is a C# and G#. But the C and G work as well.

I will also use the forks on the head, the foot or any other place I can trace
the nerve. It's fun for me. You start and the root and see where the nerve does
not vibrate. That's the place where the problem is. A good anatomy book helps.
