CSRe: Death by CS.
Hello Tom I misspelled Bicaltamide. It should have said Bicalutamide. A trade name is Casodex or Cosudex. (I'm not suggesting it caused the seizure.) http://www.virtualcancercentre.com/drugs.asp?drugid=1745 'Myclonic status epilepticus' IS pretty dreadful. To suggest that CS caused it 3 months after the man ceased taking CS is a long stretch in my opinion, but I'm no doctor. His CS dosage was pretty light if the case report is accurate. Most of the research I've read suggests it takes huge doses of silver to cause such problems. And even then its only lab research. I'm still yet to see a convincing case of CS causing anything other than argyria. As a living example of how toxic silver really is (or isn't) look at Paul Karosan. He's drunk so much junk CS in the last 13 years he's turned blue but he's still happily giving TV interviews. I've followed up a number of these references over time and they ultimately go nowhere. They can look persuasive at first glance but none of them contain original research. They just refer you to other references. Theres almost no hard facts. (The words 'we hypothesize' appear quite often). At the bottom of all the theories you'll usually just find some ancient research on rats. And don't be fooled into thinking every reference is a 'case report' or an extensive 'study'. A couple of 'medical references' I've followed up turned out to be 'Letters to the editors' of medical journals. I dont know how 'peer reviewed' they would be, but they pop as references on sites like Wikipedia. As far as I can determine, the most likely source of the idea that CS can cause neurologic problems (seizures) is the theory that CS can produce the same symptoms as 'metal fume fever', a sickness that welders or foundry workers can get when they inhale lungfulls of zinc fumes. By the way, these published case reports are a nice little earner. If 1000 doctors around the world download a report thats a cool $20,000 bonus for someone. Following this he tried various nutritional and vitamin supplements, homeopathic remedies such as PC-SPES and essiac tea, and colloidal silver. I am remembering somebody who came on here looking for help in getting rid of argyria- who had been taking water oz products. Is this correct? Anyone else remember this? Maybe it was a couple of years ago... I looked back in my file (~ a year or less) and saw some references to water oz products being something completely different than what they are sold as- and references to them lying about their products. Fruit- Milk Thistle Fruit has been used by some for the treatment of dyspeptic symptoms, loss of appetite, liver and gall bladder complaints including inflammation of the gall bladder duct, toxic liver disease and hepatic cirrhosis. It has been used successfully as an antidote to Death-Cap mushroom poisoning (mushroom toxins a-amantin and phalloidin). It has been shown to protect the b.d. from liver damage caused by overdose from acetaminophen, butyrophenones, phenothiazines, halothane, Dilantin or ethanol. It may reduce outbreaks of Psoriasis due to liver disease. Milk Thistle herb and fruit can be taken in capsules, pills, infusions, or tinctures. http://www.diagnose-me.com/treat/T13224.html Most recently researchers found that the antioxidant activity of a milk thistle seed extract reduced the liver damage typically seen in patients who take prescription anti-psychotic drugs for extended periods and particularly in death cap mushroom poisoning. Silymarin has been shown to prevent and even reverse the toxic affect of mushroom (Amanita phalloides) poisoning, which can cause death within 24 hours. It is able to do this by specifically blocking the receptor for these toxins. -Original Message- From: Malcolm [mailto:s...@asis.com] Sent: Tuesday, September 23, 2008 12:37 PM To: silver-list@eskimo.com Subject: Re: CSCS\ Collodial Silver Vs Mushrooms Well, it's even worse than that. The amanita fruiting bodies are generally large handsome clean-looking specimens with white gills. the amanitatoxins, aka amatoxins, (three major kinds usually present together,) will often produce violent bloody diarrhea and vomiting within 6 to 24 hours, lasting a day or so,followed by a period of apparent recovery, which is then followed by a relapse and a 50% mortality. Unfortunately, people are often discharged from hospital during this false recovery, only to die at home a few days later. The primary effects are on the liver and kidneys and occur within that first 6 to 24 hour period whilst the toxins are fully absorbed. The moral to that is: if you think someone has eaten a poison mushroom, don't wait around to see if they'll be ok or not, get them to throw up, get to the emergency room ASAP to get as much out of the system as possible before it is absorbed and it's too late. Secondary effects involve everything else from the blood to the nerve cells including the brain, by inhibiting RNA synthesis in the cells. One to two ounces of the fresh fruiting body is, on average, enough to do you in. The poison content varies not only from variety to variety, but from fruiting body to fruiting body. One not-well-known therapy for amanita poisoning is Thioctic Acid, injected; no guarantees. The other deadly class of mycotoxins is the Gryomitrins, which are produced in rather small unappealing mushrooms unlikely to attract much interest. The difference between a completely inconsequential 'dose' of gyromitrin and a deadly one is extremely small. Gyromitrin hydrolyzes into MMH, monomethylhydrazine, rocket fuel, an extremely carcinogenic compound. Weird, huh? Not a good way to launch into outer space. There is a healer, Tracy Jones, who ran a list Tracy's corner for several years. CSColloidal Silver/Sulphur Solution
Hi All, I ran across this website: http://www.leesfountainofyouth.com/operated by an elderly man who believes that a colloidal silver/sulphur solution is the best antibiotic known to man. He has some rudimentary instructions for making it on his site. I am wondering if the more versed among us in chemistry can comment on what is likely to be created with this method and whether such a concoction would be safe to ingest for anything other than sporadic consumption. This has got me wondering also whether consuming CS and MSM together may be a good thing or not, as MSM is reported to be 34% sulphur. I have read elsewhere that MSM, like DMSO can be a good carrier to bring substances where they need to go so could the sulphur help the CS to reach pathogens do you think? Any comments would be welcome! Thanks, Peter
Re: CSColloidal Silver/Sulphur Solution
I have read, probably in one of my books on DMSO and MSM, that only DMSO transports substances into tissues (depending on molecular weight). MSM cannot take anything into tissues except itself, and it only penetrates a little bit. Nothing like DMSO can do. You can mix a little MSM into a solution of DMSO and silver though. I believe that does get the MSM a lot deeper into the tissues than it can go alone. FWIW, in the book MSM the definitive guide, it is stated that DMSO is much more effective than MSM for nearly every use, but that Dr. Jacob's started using MSM much more with his patients because of compliance--the odor that some people get from DMSO caused them to not use it reliably. This sulphur thing is a new idea to me--I have used CS with both DMSO and MSM for many years, had not before heard of a problem with silver and sulphur. So I'm waiting to see if our experts think it is an issue or not. sol Peter Converse wrote: This has got me wondering also whether consuming CS and MSM together may be a good thing or not, as MSM is reported to be 34% sulphur. Re: CSColloidal Silver/Sulphur Solution for Sinus Problems
You ask Can we get your recipe? I got this from a email from Harold Macdonald: Here it is.. 1 Start with 2 oz of CS 2 Add 1/4 teaspoon of MSM 3 Add 4 drops of DMSO 4 Add 1/4 teaspoon of Xylitol The sugar substitute 5 Add 2 drops H2O2 35 per cent food grade. (I have 8% food grade and use 8 drops of it) The prevention is much better than the cure!! Stay on top of the situation by irrigating sinuses even when you don't think you needed. In the bad season where you live..where high levels of pollen, ragweed, mold spores ect daily is a must to stay ahead. I carry this with me in a 4 oz squeeze bottle as household dust, rag weed pollen, and moldy type dust or dust from grains..Dust from inside a computer. Watch out when you use a canned Air to blow out things. I now mow grass and weed eat the lawn, where I could not do this before. As soon as I come in from out side after mowing the yard I irrigate my sinus with the nealing pot and the above solution. In Harolds email to me over a year ago he stated he adjusted the MSM and DMSO according to the situation. I did not understand that statement at first. What adjusting means to me is..try more or less of the MSM .a little at a time to see if you nostrils can stand it. H2O2 can be pretty hot in the nostrils, so watch out. I know a man that uses H2O2 right out of a bottle (the kind that Walmart sells for cuts) when his sinus act up. I tried once a 1/2 water and 1/2 H2O2 and had to hold the sink as the burning was too much. I know this will help you if your sinuses react to the dust and other things around you. CSblue moons revisited
I have posted here before about my blue (grey) fingernail moons. For some time now, I have suspected that they are the result not solely of my heavy ingestion of CS for over 2 years a few years ago, but possibly from too much iron, some interaction of silver with iron overload. My iron levels have been high for at least several years, most likely were high when I was using so much CS daily. My latest blood test shows even higher iron levels, so storage iron (ferritin) has been increasing since 2005 at least. Anybody know any good way to chelate iron? Other than IP-6 that is, which I am going to start as soon as it gets here. I'm also reducing oral vit C, increasing whole grains and nuts, and reducing vit E, and increasing B vits per this site http://www.ironoverload.org/Diet.html I've been refused permission to donate blood, because of my adrenal fatigue, so that simple way of getting rid of excess iron is out for the present, unless I go doctor shopping again, and I don't have much enthusiasm in that. Where I live there are few choices in docs. I have been quite puzzled for years why some can take large amounts of CS for years and not get the grey nails, and a very few of us have gotten them. I haven't any other indication of argryia, and don't feel the nails are a problem at all besides being ugly. And I have NOT progressed from blue nails to any argryia elsewhere. I still use CS orally daily, though not as much except in certain circumstances (case of the runs or the like). In retrospect I would still do the heavy dosing of daily CS, even though it gave me ugly fingernails, because it did work for my purposes. sol -- The Silver List is a moderated forum for discussing Colloidal Silver.
