I know this is not the forum for this but you are some of the smartest people I know so I appeal to you for any suggestionsMy friend is 65 years old and has stomach cancer. And he may not make it. I am afraid his last days might be spent in an alley somewhere in the cold. So I sent his story to the NY Times, Daily News, NY Post and all the TV stations. Not one single person has gotten back to me. So again I ask for any suggestions?? VIETNAM WAR HERO TO BE THROWN INTO THE STREET ON THANKSGIVING DAY! MedalsSilver Star, Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, W/60 Device, Overseas Service Bar. Sp4 Armondo Leguillow, now 65, proudly served his country in Vietnam and was shot in the face, patched up and sent back to the war. The next time it was much worse. He was shot in the head back and leg and ended up in a coma. His estranged wife was sent a letter that he was MIA. He woke up in a hospital in Japan with partial amnesia. He was shipped to a hospital in Korea, then discharged in 1972 from the Veterans hospital in St. Albans, NY. He went home to his elderly mother, where she cared for him as he battled a crippling case of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and severe depression. He did not leave his room for over a year. Unable to work, he filed for Disability Benefits which he had earned with his own blood. To his surprise the Army had no record of his service. He called, wrote and fought for over 20 years to no avail until a letter to President Clinton in 1996 finally unearthed his long lost records. By that time he had a flourishing acting career and did not need Disability Benefits. Tragedy struck once again and his mother now 81, and disabled, her sister 84, and a mentally handicapped cousin, 67, were left with no one to care for them. He abandoned his acting career and returned to New York to care for them. His mother died at age 94, 5 months ago. Now, he himself has severe health problems which hamper his ability to work. I found a homemade enteric coating. Naturally only food quality ingredients should be used. It consists of using shellac flakes dissolved in ethanol to coat a gel capsule with a sprayer. The shellac will dissolve in the alkaline conditions of the lower intestine but not the acidic stomach. Shellac apparently is not only a fine wood varnish but is non toxic as it is produced by a insect for cocooning and is used on supermarket fruit along with wax as well as the pharmacuetical industry. RE: CSSerrapeptase question for Steve
Linda, It looks like a good supplement for digestion but since it is not enteric coated only about half of the 25,000 units of Serrpeptase will get to the intestine for absorbtion into the blood stream. The rest of the Serrpeptasewill be destroyed by stomach acids. In contrast, I use a 40,000 unit enteric coated capsule which is on the conservative dosage side. I would look for enteric coating or higher amount of Serrapeptase in a capsule. The price is kind of high. You could probably get much higher dosage capsules at www.iherb.com with priority handling for less. Thanks for the opinion, Steve. As it happens, I'm on the iHerb website now, and will place the order today. It looks like the Doctor's Best brand is the best deal, and Tom wants to take it as well, after I read a little of the info and customer comments to him. Hello, I am new to the list. My husband who is a diabetic, developed an ulcer on his toe which became infected. He has done antibiotics in the past for MRSA, and we are trying to avoid a long course of heavy duty antibiotics again. The initial wound culture is negative for MRSA but we suspect it may be in there. Can someone recommend a good brand and dose of silver? We have tried Mesosilver with limited success. He called, wrote and fought for over 20 years to no avail until a letter to President Clinton in 1996 finally unearthed his long lost records. Re: CSSerrapeptase, An Acid Question
Wayne, You are correct that it is alkalinity that disolves the enteric coating and perhaps a alkaline stomach would pass all the Serrapeptase. However you must not take the Serrapeptase with food. Serrapeptase disolves dead tissue - well what is meat but dead tissue? You need the Serrpeptase to pass into the intestine with no accompanying food so you must take it on an empty stomach. - Steve N - Original Message - From: Wayne Fugitt cwf...@fugitt.com To: silver-list@eskimo.com silver-list@eskimo.com Sent: Mon Nov 17 21:12:06 2008 Subject: CSSerrapeptase, An Acid Question Evening Steve, At 06:32 PM 11/17/2008, you wrote: The rest of the Serrpeptasewill be destroyed by stomach acids.
