CS>Gingival Grafting and Periodontal Surgery

2009-08-04 Thread Sam L.
Does anyone know about this surgery or has had it done.
My sister is scheduled for this surgery and Im telling her that is the last
option.
I think swissing CS and zapping would do more or at least give it a chance,
its a 4 hour surgery.

Re: CS>CS Smelling Bad

2009-08-04 Thread Scotty
My friend told me tonite that he was drinking it straight out of the PET bottle
that I gave him. Can this be a possible/probable cause of contamination? I
store mine in a glass "sun tea" container and it has never smelled. I also keep
a PET water bottle next to my bed that I drink out of every morning. Same
bottle for over two years and no bad smells yet. So I'm not sure what to think.
Anywho, I've already suggested that he buys a sun tea jar and I will provide
him the silver. Thanks for the input!

I gave a friend a clear, clean, two-liter soda bottle full of CS about a month
ago. He told me this morning that it is smelling bad. Has anyone ever heard of
CS smelling bad? I've been making the stuff for 5+ years and have never had CS

What you're saying is true for the normal dosage of Naltrexone (50mg), but
Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) should be dispensed in no higher than 4.5mg doses.
At this low dose side effects are minimum. The drugs I was prescribed prior
to LDN caused me to extremely elevated liver enzymes. My enzymes have
dropped back down to normal on LDN.

Naltrexone definitely does have side effects. You cannot be on any kind of
opiate, both prescription and street type, and cannot have any alcohol, and
it's very dangerous if you have any kind of liver or kidney problems, and
some other drugs interact with it, and it makes some over the counter and
prescription medicines not work. And you can't rely on doctors to even know
all that, and to provide the necessary follow up lab tests that have to been
done, I've seen it given with no follow up by a doctor. They usually say
the lab tests are too expensive and not necessary, but you're the one who
pays the price when they're wrong.

Do a google search for "Naltrexone side effects" to gain a better

Yep, done this many times, wash wound out with EIS, close the meat together
and try to keep it bandaged with the cut closed and I don't remove the bandage
but soak it periodically over a few days and there should be minimal scarring,
not that scarring matters a hoot on a finger I guess, but it heals pretty
quick. Bleeding is good as that helps wash any potential crap out of the wound.

CS>INFLUENZA VIRUS - RELENZA RESISTANCE LABORATORY MUTATION

2009-08-04 Thread Annie B Smythe

INFLUENZA VIRUS - RELENZA RESISTANCE LABORATORY MUTATION
*
A ProMED-mail post

ProMED-mail is a program of the
International Society for Infectious Diseases

Date: Tue 4 Aug 2009
Source: The Age [edited]

Relenza-resistant flu virus mutation found
--
The H1N1 flu virus has mutated into a form resistant to the
Australian-developed antiviral drug Relenza. Researchers said the
mutation posed little threat to humans yet: the virus was not a
strain of swine flu virus [Influenza pandemic (H1N1) 2009 virus] or
bird flu [avian influenza H5N1) virus], and it was found only in the
lab [i.e., only after propagation of patients' samples in the
laboratory], not in patients. There are no known strains of
Relenza-resistant influenza in humans. In contrast, virtually all the
flu cases in the US and Europe last year [2008], much of Australia's
seasonal flu and even a few cases of swine flu have proven resistant
to the other leading antiviral drug, Tamiflu.

A team at North Melbourne's WHO Collaborating Centre for Reference
and Research on Influenza analysed 391 influenza A(H1N1) viruses
found in humans in Australasia and South-East Asia between 2006 and
2008, before the spread of swine flu [i.e., the isolates screened
were all seasonal influenza viruses - Mod.CP]. 9 of the viruses had a
previously unseen mutation that made them 300 times more resistant to
zanamivir (sold as Relenza), according to results reported in the
Journal of Virology [see below].

The mutation was not found when the specimens were taken from
patients, only later when the viruses multiplied in the lab. "That
could mean there were very low levels of this mutation in the
patient," said Dr Ian Barr, one of the researchers involved and
deputy director of the WHO centre. "We wouldn't say it's a clinical
problem, but it's an interesting finding. We know [the mutation] can
survive, and it's stable."

The recent spread of Tamiflu-resistant A(H1N1) viruses showed that
antiviral-resistant viruses could spread rapidly and travel widely
around the world, the study authors warned. A spokeswoman for Biota,
which developed Relenza, said the discovery was "not clinically
relevant, because it's an in vitro discovery -- there's no evidence
that this mutated virus has infected patients." A spokeswoman for
Relenza manufacturer GSK said the "clinical significance is yet to be
determined." GSK announced a week ago that it planned to triple
production of Relenza in the face of the spread of swine flu
[influenza pandemic (H1N1) 2009] virus infection and rising demand
from government stockpiles.

Last week Japan identified its 3rd case of Tamiflu-resistant swine
flu, making a total of 6 worldwide. Scientists have warned that the
massive worldwide use of Tamiflu since the outbreak of swine flu
could hasten the spread of resistant mutations. No Relenza-resistant
swine flu has yet been found.

-snap-snap- That's what I did--When you start out knowing nothing about a

I taught kindergarten for 25 of my 30 years of teaching. The preschooler
you refer to is there but not like the rest. They are all different--some
with such a thirst for learning they were reading when they came into my

because they were the ones who usually needed a hug & someone who cared.

Oops, sorry Mike, I've done it again, led with my mouth. Yeah I know,

I have an old Omron that they no longer have, actually my wife has one
too.
All I use in mine is the CS, I used to get Bronchitis several times a
year.
Now when ever I feel any thing coming on I use CS in my nebulizer, and
it stops it cold.
I also have an ultrasonic but the compressor type is a lot better.

Re: Re: CS>ultrasonic or not

2009-08-04 Thread Peter Converse
Hi G,

I am certainly no expert in nebulizers but was recently in the same quandry
that you seem to be in now...wondering what type of nebulizer to use for the
best effect. I'll share with you some of what I learned.

The list "knowledgeables" provided advice that an oxygen nebulizer would be
best (and possibly cheapest if you make your own), an ultrasonic model such as
one made by Omron would be a good second choice and any old nebulizer would be
much better than none.

If I understand correctly, the first and second devices mentioned have a finer
mist of smaller droplets which allows deeper penetration into the lower areas
of the lungs. There may be more to it than this as well. Someone else might be
able to fill in some blanks here

Having said all this I opted, at least for now, to get the cheaper option, the
Omron NE-C25 from Quick Medical, which is a basic compressor type nebulizer. I
got it in 3 days and proceeded to use it when I came down with pneumonia in
April, quite likely related to Swine Flu, and to make a long story short(er)
this nebulizer saved my bacon and did a wonderful job using only 10 ppm. CS
four times daily with 5 or 6 ml. each time.

A host of other "good" remedies hardly did a thing for me. No doubt, the more
experienced list members already know what I then found out...that CS beats the
pants off anything else if it can be delivered to the site of infection
effectively.

It seemed to me that my el cheapo nebulizer worked very well for my personal
situation. Still, I'd like to find time to make the oxygen nebulizer in the
future.

Visit this site for more info. and see the link at the bottom of the page for
the tutorial for building your own oxygen nebulizer if this interests you:

http://www.silvermedicine.org/nebulizers.html

This is merely shared research, of course,
and not to be construed as medical advice, which is never given on this list.

Blessings,

Peter
